  1. Exactly. You know, if there were lessons for us to learn as a society from the pandemic, we totally did not learn them, lol.
  2. Yeah, I can't see that (Burton getting vaxxed) happening, lol. So, he won't get vaxxed for "religious reasons," but he's okay with divorce and tattoos, two things which I'm sure the Bible says are no-nos? Man, on top of being a lousy actor, he's also a [!@#$%^&*] hypocrite.
  3. Nope. Not after that announcement, lol.
  4. Neither am I, @carolineg, lol. If he weren't almost a decade older than Steve Burton and CM, I would suggest Ben Browder as a Drew recast. He fits the type of person Drew is supposed to be.
  5. Not that it matters to TPTB, lol, but Jeff Branson is too young to play Drew. At the very least, I think whoever were to succeed CM (b. 1969) as Drew should be in the same age range as he and Steve Burton (b. 1970). And casting Trevor St. John as nuDrew would end badly. Very badly. Like, "Trevor lies in a pool of his own blood, as Laura Wright is escorted out of the GH studios by the LAPD" badly. I've long believed that if mobsters needed to exist permanently on GH, then they needed to be Runyonesque. But that doesn't mean turning Sonny "Move Out the Way So's I Can Get a Clearer Shot At My In-Labor Wife!" Corinthos into Nathan Detroit.
  6. OR...Rose and Vince (and Walter!) were putting on an elaborate show with the heater and everything in order to fool Nikki. The three might have even killed some vagrant who bore a passing resemblance to Walter, dressed him up in Walter's clothes, planted some I.D. on him and then switched him out in that alley before the police discovered him and when Nikki wasn't around. You're welcome, Josh!
  7. Of course he was. Ron Carlivati isn't about to admit that scabs wrote his show better than he could, lol. Like I said once, when I learned about his divorce: "You've got to be a real shithead if Karen Allen drops you like a bad habit!"
  8. Black women in particular loved Oprah from the start, because she was like their best girlfriend, showing up every afternoon with some "real talk" about themselves and their men. Not that they didn't love Phil Donahue, but Oprah just felt more "real" to them, for lack of a better word. She seemed to be going through the same [!@#$%^&*] they were going through themselves, right down to the issues with weight.
  9. Am I reading the data right? An episode of that godawful sitcom, "Baby Talk," did better than AW's primetime special?
  10. And that is insane, because Ron Carlivati and his writing needed all the help they could get. By the way, @Vee, I want to apologize for one of my responses upthread: I don't think you're wrong to want Drew recast again. I just don't believe another recast/character reset would make any difference in the long run.
  11. I would be done with him, too. I wouldn't. I would give Drew a Mitch Leery-like send-off and be done with him. Which is just bullshit, because whether a scene runs for 10 seconds or 10 minutes, viewers will tune out if it ain't written well, directed well or acted well, regardless of age.
  12. Yes. They created Drew only because Steve Burton had returned (yet again!) and they didn't want to let go of Billy Miller just yet. Otherwise, he is a pointless character. (No offense?) Exactly. I agree. Well....? Then you definitely would need to recast!
  13. Thanks, @dragonflies! This is fantastic news. NE made my Monday nights BITD. So off-beat, yet so warm and loving. Now, do the same for "Picket Fences," Amazon Prime, lol....
  14. Not really. I just recall reading about it years ago, on one message board or another. Apparently, "Maggie's Farm," as I call it, was one of several DAYS-related spinoff ideas that NBCD was tossing around at that time, on account of DAYS burning up the ratings. Another idea that TPTB had had was to spin off Doug and Julie, but I don't know how much farther anyone went with any of those proposals beyond just the talking stage.
  15. That's Christopher Goutman for you! [!@#$%^&*] with ATWT and its' generations of fans 'til the very, bitter end!
  16. It's interesting how Susan Pratt has played three characters - GH's Anne, AMC's Barbara, GL's Claire - that audiences don't "love to hate" so much as they just plain hate, lol.
  17. I agree on both counts, @carolineg. I think the only proposed DAYS spinoff, either real or rumored, that had any genuine, dramatic possibilities was the one that was supposed to take place wherever Maggie's family's old farm was located. A rural-based soap would have been very novel, especially in the '70's (or even today, lol).
  18. Hopefully, nothing that has anything at all to do with acting.
