  1. Kyle getting picked on by Dorit and Rinna, with a silent co-sign from Denise puts a smile on my face. And sigh... that "Goodbye Kyle!" flashback makes me miss the true Queen of Beverly Hills. The build-up between Kyle & Dorit seemed a little too "tits on an ant" (i.e. squeezing a story out of basically nothing) but here we are. It'll plant the seeds of discord and we'll watch it ride out. I was loving Denise's reaction when they were all talking about threesomes and kissing other women and Denise is worried all the kids at the other table are listening. Was it Erika then in her talking head making reference to Denise in Wild Things? Good one. I kind of like how Dorit will always find something bothersome about Teddi. These chicks are such co-stars, not friends.
  2. Look at Ron Leath doing double duty being a server at the Colonnade room in addition to his heavy duty schedule being Henderson the butler at Victor Kiriakis’ mansion. 😄
  3. Jaida is my first choice, with Heidi dark horse. Maybe she’ll get miss congeniality. @Faulkner I agree on Jackie Cox. He’s a cute lil guy.
  4. Apple TV. I know. Crazy how many damn streaming platforms there are now. The Morning Show has Reese, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carrell and a great ensemble. The premise of it highly resembles the real-life Matt Lauer / Today Show fiasco.
  5. Never heard of it, but there's a pre-GL Kevin Mambo (ex-Marcus) on it! And Robyn Lively.... sigh... I would've loved to have seen our favorite Teen Witch go on to bigger things.
  6. This is next on my To Watch list. I'm clearly in a Reese Witherspoon mood, because I binged The Morning Show, now I'm on season 2 of Big Little Lies, and will watch this next. Love her!
  7. LOL the frozen frame for that Youtube clip has everyone in smiles except Nene's stank face.
  8. Okay, full confession. I always thought the same thing. HOWEVER, when he was on the very first season of Dynasty in 1981 as Michael, the chauffeur who was hooking up with Fallon, he had this cocky, confident swag to him that made him pretty hot. And he was rocking a nice bod, too. Don't know if he kept that up during his 80's DAYS run but he was quite the stud on Dynasty. Yet, any footage I've seen of him on DAYS, I'm just like, "Ew no."
  9. Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Denise's hubby and his speech. No, they're not paranoid at all. Or maybe they should be? Cancer is your friend. The one thing he said that made sense to me was saying there are cancerous cells all throughout your body. Rinna and the rest looked stunned. In the words of The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started A Conversation With from SNL: "Learn a book." Rinna's signature 'do is growing out finally. It is long past due. Everything about her looked big - big hair, over-sized pantsuit that needed tailoring, big head. And yes, using her daughter's struggles does not come off as genuine anymore, but as exploitative. Rinna tends to take someone's illness and beat it like a dead horse (her daughter, Kim, Yolanda). Enough.
  10. OMG yes, I was about to start a timer to see how long the outfit compliments were going to last. It's funny how Sutton and her proper etiquette makes the other wives look low-class by comparison. Ha! I will say she'll need to pull the stick out of her butt and get sloppy, which I'm guessing she eventually does. I loved Sutton's blunt description of Teddi, but yes, that was a blatantly planned attack on the producer's/Kyle's part to have Sutton sit next to Teddi and then make sure they go clockwise when giving each person next to them their first impressions. Very obvious. Kyle, you still suck as an actress and the camera always catches you. I get the feeling Garcelle is like me when it comes to being in a new crowd - I keep relatively quiet and I observe, observe, observe. And then, outta nowhere, comes my take, my opinion, my feedback on the observations I've made. But you gotta keep it under your hat for a little bit before the big reveal. I'm guessing good things will come from her down the road and I can't wait. Kyle vs. Rinna - Oh, I hope it gets messy. If not this season, then blow up next year. Two desperate princesses vying for the empty crown.
  11. OMG, Franky D is starting to resemble... Drake Hogestyn?!
  12. The only thing Teddi is good for is mockery and ridicule, both from viewers AND her castmates. She bugs me worse than Meghan King Edmonds ever did. @Chris B I agree about Kenya. She started off strong and sympathetic, and then resorted to her shady messy ways and then it's hard to sympathize or root for her anymore. And @Cat Lord help us if another Kelly Dodd egomaniac is created in the Bravo laboratory!
  13. I love that everyone rallied around Heather. From Marcia to Grant to especially Andrew Shue, it's so great that this cast has genuine love, respect, and appreciation, as well as have fond recollections of their Melrose days. MP had the catfights onscreen, but unlike their sister show 90210, those didn't play out behind the scenes, thank goodness. Crazy to hear how that first season was filmed all year long. Also interesting hearing how Melrose was taped in a similar fashion to soap operas - multiple episodes being shot on the same day, little-to-no rehearsal time. It's quite amazing, and a wonderful treat for us fans, how MP had around 32-34 episodes per season for every year except for the final year, I think. And a couple of those episodes were 2-hours long, be it February sweeps or the May finale. It was great fun, and they said they'll be doing another Melrose reunion! Once they figure out how to have more than 5 people onscreen at a time, and perhaps additional castmembers. Yay!
  14. So glad to see Heather will be joining! Same with Thomas Calabro. I was always disappointed he didn't join in the 2012 Entertainment Weekly reunion cover shoot.
  15. Sad to hear the news. Side note: Is this show still on? My hubby misses his Miss Juicy Baby.
  16. https://deadline.com/2020/04/melrose-place-cast-reunion-stars-in-the-house-actors-fund-coronavirus-benefit-1202918584/maz/ ‘Melrose Place’ Cast Sets Remote Reunion For ‘Stars In The House’ Tomorrow (April 28th)
  17. Yeah... I think this is a combination of Bravo wanting to evolve some of their shows, along with trying to keep costs down by having their expensive OG's run themselves out of town. They did Vicki dirty, they did LVP dirty 'til she got the upper hand and they realized they needed to keep the idea of her alive for the remainder of the season, they exposed and embarrassed Teresa, and then there's Nene who's been digging her own grave for the past couple years. Had Bethenny not left NYC on her own, maybe Bravo would've targeted Ramona or Luann next? I'm sure both sides are guilty (Nene vs. production), but Nene plays into it and comes off as someone on the outside looking in, making complaints and excuses, whether right or wrong. At least with Vicki, once word leaked that she would not be returning, kept it simple and left gently into that good night. I don't think Karen, etc. from Potomac are in danger because the show is still "new" in comparison to the others, and still not as well known. Beverly Hills, started in 2010, seems to be the last star-maker, with subsequent series (Miami, Potomac, Dallas) only producing "Bravolebrities."
  18. Leah's comment about respecting her elders (i.e. Ramona) reminded me of Kristen Taekman saying the same thing back in season 6. This core group of women are not at the baby-popping stage anymore, so when they bring in the youngsters by comparison, it's usually quite jarring. BTW. That episode was a hilarious shi#show and I was rolling with laughter the entire time. I don't know how Sonja's dildo got into the mix of things, but it looked crazy fun. LOL at Ramona dipping out from her own place to make an appearance at the other party. LOL at Sonja in general. LOL at Leah's rage towards the tikis (Charlottesville!). Again, loved Ramona's growth (ha, I mean she is over 60) at being sincere and understanding to LuAnn for leaving to sleep at her own place, and encouraging her to come back. Man, being in LuAnn's shoes would be rough at a time like that when everyone is plastered. When you're in it, it's fun, but if you're on the outside as a Sober Sally, all the drunkies become quite annoying.
  19. Ugh, this is literally my backyard.
  20. Well, it's disappointing that Potomac is being pushed back, but totally understandable. Might as well let NYC and Beverly Hills be the sole Housewives series airing, and ration out the rest for down the road. Besides, before the additions of Potomac and Dallas, there was usually only two airing consecutively anyhow. ATL: The finale was ho-hum. Porsha flip-flopped and was playing both sides of the fence with the two groups of friends, but whatevs. Nene can go and Bravo can save money. I don't understand why Kandi and Todd wanted another child when they can barely make time for the ones they've got, let alone run all their businesses, but okay. BH: Alrighty now, last night's episode was Damage Control City for certain housewives (cough, Dorit, cough Erika). I liked how they aired the producer questions in the talking head shots for Dorit, as it presented awkward moments of her reactions. Thanks to Andy *finally* being transparent at the last reunion, there were lots of mainstream rumors about Dorit and PK's finances and marriage, as well as Erika and Tom's finances and marriage. And so we get generalized answers from Dorit and lovey-dovey crap of Erika/Tom. "Everything is settled, that's all behind us, we live together, yada yada yada" ... "I have loved him for 20 years, I tear up just talking about him, we still have decent sex, yada yada yada." I wasn't buying ANY of the Dorit or Erika scenes. Sorry, no purchase. Years from now when Tom passes away, you just KNOW Erika is gonna get her cougar on and f**k as many 25 year olds as possible after all those years of pent up sexual frustration. LOL at Rinna being Rinna and goading Teddi into being defensive and paranoid about the housewives not wanting to attend her lame event. 3 years in and Teddi still doesn't know how to play the game in reality TV. The vibe I got from the whole buildup is that none of the other housewives really care about Teddi and only feign interest when OG uncredited producer Kyle is around. I loved Garcelle's blunt honesty to Teddi. Sutton's reaction was pretty slick too, especially the side dig she gave before she scampered off to berate the West Hollywood mayor about parking tickets. +1 to Erika's comment regarding Sutton: doesn't matter if it's couture if you look like [!@#$%^&*] in it. The "journey" (© Yolanda) of Denise's surgery was entertaining to watch. Four hernias? Yikes. Still liking her. I'll ignore her behavior towards Camille at last year's reunion for now. Ugh at next week's preview with Teddi tearing up and storming out because the world Sutton thinks she's boring. Geez Bravo, this is what you're airing? No wonder rumors were abundant that the new season would be a dud before they brought out their old hag arsenal (Kim, Brandi etc.)
  21. Those were the best Those and Sears. My very young self had no idea why I was so interested in the mens Hanes underwear pages
  22. Where I grew up (Chicago burbs), the flagship stores were: Marshall Fields Lord & Taylor JC Penney Sears I listed them in that order intentionally based on price & quality, at least from my perspective back then. However, our JC Penney was always well put together, with intricate displays of clothing, bedding, etc. I happened to wander in a JC Penney this past Christmas season and yikes, how the mighty have fallen! It's sad to see the sign of the times affect stores like these, and the whole "mall experience" fading quickly as a whole.
  23. Ya know... though I hate the idea of idiots potentially spreading it to those who WANT to be safe (i.e. essential workers, etc.), at the same time, if Trump-loving idiots want to spread it among themselves while the rest of us stay safe, well... at least Republican voter turnout may be low come November 3rd :::shrug::: There's just no hope for reasoning with so many of them at this point....
  24. There's too much love for Gigi, and Jan should've definitely won the week prior (I actually liked Jan a lot; sad to see her go). That said, I foresee/hope the Top 4 are: Jaida, Heidi, Jackie, and Gigi. Jaida has improved by leaps and bounds from her Gays Anatomy days My dark horse pick is Heidi. Lordy, she cracks me up! And that voice... it's like he's a long-lost Jackson family sibling. I hope LaToya is a guest judge!
  25. Wow, I'm excited to see all the vintage Y&R! I understand B&B's standpoint from a business perspective, but stuff from the last 10 years doesn't qualify as "classic" to me. I would be interested in seeing them dip back into 1984 and showcase Katherine's/Jeanne's face lift episode.
