The former Russian male figure skater, Yevgeny Plushenko said that Russian athletes were popping meldonium like they were Vitamin C tablets. LOL Morality aside, what strikes me as scary about this drug that the even the Latvian manufactures claim that the drug was only supposed to be taken for 4-6 weeks! I'd be worried about what long term effects this drug could have on my body. Exactly she has been taking it for 10 years now.

I am surprised that it took a long time to ban that drug. It hasn't been approved in USA at all.

Chamber?? I have always found his rise to number 1 in the world very suspicious. He was stuck at #3 for a long time. He had so many breathing problems…not being able to last long matches and now all of sudden because of his gluten free diet he is this Rambo player…don't buy it.

Maria was even talked about on The Talk. They found it odd that she was taking that drug for her condition.

Chris Evert was just on SportsCenter and she said that the tennis world isn't giving Maria much if any support. Chris noted that Maria didn't have friends on the tour. It was also report that the drug she has taken for 10 years is only suppose to be taken for 4-6 for medical conditions not 10 years….LOL.

Wow that was quick! What did she have to say? I didn't read them. Several people told me that she has been ranting on Twiter about how her career was taken for doing far less than some are being accused of now. Then someone told her that the substance was not banned when Sharapova started taking it a decade ago and it recently became and Capriati then proceeded to ask why. Although I heard she proceeded to rant further about her own missed opportunities. She's probably still ranting now. Ha….she was caught stealing and wasn't she doing drugs too at the time? All that she did was done intentionally. She has no one to blame but herself.

Loved seeing soap alum Ryan McPartlin getting some work! I never cared for him on Passions. He wasn't bad or good on Passions. I just never paid close attention to him. Recently I got to see him in the Christmas Movie with Blossom….and damn wow….now I sure paid attention to him….he looks so good at 40. On Fuller House he plays a character named Tyler. Who is Tyler?

Wow, I think that's ridiculous. Is that for first time offence and multiple offences? The four major sports in North America aren't even that strict. It's for first time offenses. Cilic was a first time offender and he originally had gotten close to 2 years…but was reduced to 7 months after he appealed.

She'll be 30 or 32 if she is suspended that long. I think what will hurt her more is missing out on the Olympics this year besides the majors.

I heard that as well. I will be surprised if she gets more than Cilic did.

She's been injured a lot so maybe the unexpected suspension will let her really heal properly and bring her back to the tour stronger. If Cilic received 7 months then Maria shouldn't receive any worse. I'd say 5 to 6 months is fair….

She should have checked but I am not sure if the drug she was taking had a generic name to it. Would she have known it was the drug she was taking? The ban was announced in September 2015, Sharapova said she didn't read the letter. See thats why you should always read your mail. 2 year suspension to 4 year suspension…. Marin Cilic received 7 months I believe…after it being reduced. I find it odd that Cilic hasn't done squat after his US Open win.
