So odd to see Adam, Chelsea, Nick, Sharon with less episodes in a month than Esther lol. I know that will change because they have storylines coming up but still. I like that Esther is around still and I think her presence is good here and there but I have no interest in seeing her more than once or twice a month.

JG is so bad at knowing how to stretch out a s/l and this is coming from someone who enjoys a long drawn out storyline (atleast a year) if all the right beats are played with some twists thrown in. This Tessa/Mariah storyline already feels excruciatingly long & it’s only really been going for a few months but I swear they just keep writing the same conversations over and over again in a scene to stretch the s/l out longer. That scene between Sharon and Tessa at the coffee house felt like it’s already been had like 3 times at least. Where are the twists and the suspense? It just lacks everything that makes a solid storyline. Boring conversations of the same sh*t day in and day out is not entertaining and I get there are budget restraints but that doesn’t excuse the lack of imagination.

I miss Robert Adamson. He was a fabulous Noah. He was probably the only Noah I really liked to be honest. Also, R.I.P to Charlie Kirk. What an awful tragedy.

It better not be Chuck Pratt. I think JG and CP would be disastrous

I just watched Nov 28th 1994 Sharon meets Victor for the first time in his office at Newman Enterprises and it was such a great scene. Those writers and producers really knew how to give a good scene that stands the test of time. I really miss the way soaps used to be produced.. the slow music and all. I could have sworn I thought Brenda Dickson as Jill was in the scene in this episode but I looked it up and it turns out it’s a character named Mari Jo who I do not have any knowledge of because I wasn’t watching back then but I did think to myself “huh? Wasn’t Brenda Dickson already gone by this time?” Well turns out they just share a very striking resemblance to one another

I had a feeling when they announced Noah’s return & the upcoming Shick storyline that JFP may have had a hand in that. JG does not seem to give a single f*ck about the younger generation of Newmans.

Been listening to Jeanne Coopers book and it’s leading me down the rabbit hole of Katherine Chancellors old storylines and scenes. So much rich history that I wasn’t even alive to experience yet. I wish the show didn’t fully ignore it like they do now

Ewwwww I do not need to see Cane and Traci in scenes together. Traci could be Canes grandmother at this point. Please just give Traci an age appropriate man that doesn’t end up being a psychopath. Thanks.

I hope someone figures out how to save the episodes and upload them somewhere. What country is this accessible to if not the U.S? Can Canadians watch or do we need a VPN too?

I went on binge last night watching a bunch of old Jeanne Cooper interviews. God I miss that woman. She also just seemed so young and progressive for her age even though she had such a love for the soap genre and what soaps used to stand for. She was talking about how Y&R used to have a team of researchers who worked really hard to make sure the storytelling they did on the show was accurate and mirrored real life stories (cancer, serial killers, mental disorders, etc). She said that the show made a bet that if the story telling wasn’t accurate they had to give out a T-shirt any time a mistake was made & they only ever had to give out 2 T-shirts! imagine how many T-shirts they would have to give out now. Sigh.

I agree that the Danny and Cricket wedding is random and out of left field. I would of preferred more build up and more screen time for both of these characters. ALL that being said though, I will appreciate the change from having the same boring characters day in and day out (Cane, Phyllis, Sally, Billy, Claire, Kyle) to name a few has been exhausting to watch everyday. If JG invested a little more into Danny/Cricket and also gave us a funeral for Chance by bringing back Nina, Jill.. I would say the show is actually on the right track. Throw in the new storyline for Nick & Sharon involving Noah and I’d say hey, maybe we actually have a decent show on our hands again. Nothing against the characters I mentioned earlier either, it just gets boring when it seems to be the only characters with a storyline being showcased. It’s boring.

Passions was a damn mess LOL. There was always so much insane dialogue on that show. In some ways I kind of miss it because I wish soaps could be more daring these days with their storytelling. Not that I would want another Passions style soap necessarily but I wish they would stop playing it so safe.

For the past couple years now SC has been offscreen a lot during the summer months and then they bring her back in the fall for a big storyline so I am just hoping they don’t make her crazy like they did last year with the Heather story. If they can achieve that then I’ll be happy. My expectations aren’t too high at this point..

Yeah. It’s honestly one of the main things Y&R has been lacking in right now besides their lack of sets, in my opinion. Their lack of characters and storylines has been VERY glaring and I am glad to see it looks like something is at least being done with trying to expand on the cast more. Seeing the same handful of people day in and day out has been frankly quite dreadful and boring

Not gonna lie I am kind of surprised to see Danny and Christine’s wedding is going to be on screen. I was not expecting that. Anything Nick and Sharon related will always make me watch. So I’m intrigued to see what this “trip” will be. By far the most uninteresting storyline is CANE, and it seems like he’s also been eating up the most air time lately which is why I’ve been barely watching. Ugh.

I don’t really need Noah to be gay. We have Mariah, and if we brought back Fen that would be another opportunity for a gay storyline.i just don’t understand why we can’t expand further on all these young characters and bring up the new generation to carry this show. We can’t rely on Victor, Phyllis, Nick, Sharon, Adam, Jack etc to push storyline forever on this show (as much as I love my vets and always will want them to be apart of it in some capacity).

It almost slipped my mind that the Athletic Club used to have an actual gym. You know.. hence the name ATHLETIC CLUB. There were so many little things like that which made Genoa City feel like a real place, or even when characters would have those short scenes walking into Fenmores to shop.. or being at a salon to get their nails done and ofcourse it would usually somehow play into the plot but it still felt like a real day in Genoa City
