  1. Ooooh I’m excited for this one. I love their interviews together.
  2. McKenzie Westmore also had an eating disorder during 2005-2006ish and was threatened by the network after she was hospitalized. She also talks about being forced to do the miscarriage scenes in the pit that Beth and Charlie put her in around 2003 and how traumatizing that was since she just went through a miscarriage of her own. It seems like there some pretty dark stuff that goes on behind the scenes of these soaps especially after listening to Hunter Tylo’s interview (B&B). I don’t know if that has changed/gotten better over the years but it sounded like hell in the early 2000’s what they put these actors through.
  3. There were tons. They talked a lot about the “scooby-doo gang” (Miguel, Charity, Kay, Jessica, Simone, Reese) and how they all were apparently f*cking eachother back in the day and always had drama. They didn’t go into great detail about that specifically, but there were tons of other stories. Natalie Zea talks about feeling outcasted on set by everyone but how the older crew (Ben Masters, Kim Ulrich, Andrea Evan’s, Eva Tamargo) were consummate professionals and all of them learned a lot from those actors because a lot of them had no prior acting experience and were just kids. It really was a fascinating listen and I think I spent a good week listening to it non-stop. I truly wish they’d pick up the podcast again or someone else from the cast would do one.
  4. If this means more space for more sets, please tell me Y&R isn’t far behind…
  5. It was during an episode of Natalie Zea & Travis Schuldt’s podcast during the pandemic “Passions for life” and Mackenzie Westmore was a guest on one of their episodes where she talks about an actor who was making moves on her during filming & she made a complaint and they got rid of him right away at the time. In later episodes Natalie & Travis basically confirm it was Christopher Douglas in later episodes and that he was the only actor on the show they strongly disliked. Natalie Zea also alluded to having some issues with Lindsay Hartley on set but that they’re on great terms now. However, she said she won’t discuss it unless Lindsay Hartley comes on the podcast and talk about it with her.
  6. Just getting to the end of part two. It’s interesting to say the least but I wanna hear more. I guess they plan on doing more of these lives together. I wanna hear all the behind the scenes tea
  7. Did they ever end up explaining her sudden change of character in the finale? For some reason I recall them making something up at the very end about her having some kind of brain condition. Clearly she wasn’t completely cured of it though if she managed to convince herself that Antonio was her soul mate 🤣 The most sickening part of that whole ending is the fact that Mackenzie Westmore has alluded to being sexually harassed by the actor who played Antonio and that was actually the reason he left the show initially. So the fact that they put her character with him in the series finale is pretty sadistic.
  8. Ain’t no one scared of that geriatric
  9. Not a big B&B watcher but has anyone been following the Hunter Tylo interview on YouTube? Oh boy it’s a good one. She doesn’t hold back. I love juicy soap interviews like this. A part 2 is coming as well!
  10. The Dani/Hailey drama has me intrigued. It’s about time they start to rev that storyline up. I need Dani and Hailey to HATE each other like Gwen and Theresa on Passions. They can’t just be kind of annoyed with each other they have to build that rivalry up, that’s how you get people interested to watch.
  11. I predicted this before it even happened like a couple months ago. I had the vision in my head that Devon would be on BTG… maybe I’m psychic 👀
  12. I was reading another one of those fake Facebook posts about “so and so is leaving Y&R!” Which is clearly a fake group posting it & the amount of people who buy into it time and time again is astonishing. Today it was “Melody Thomas Scott is leaving Y&R!”. Firstly, if her or Eric were leaving it would be front page news and all the outlets would be picking it up. I honestly don’t know how some people tie their shoes in the morning. I can at least have some understanding about the old folks who believe it, they didn’t grow up with technology and will easily fall for anything but a lot of these people aren’t even elderly, they just look like they live in a trailer park and never left their small town in Kentucky 🤣🥴
  13. Ohhh yes, that’s precisely why I stopped watching for a long time around that time period. Sad to see it’s gotten worst, just in different ways. It’s bad for a plethora of other reasons now, which in a lot of ways feels way more detrimental to the show as a whole.
  14. I have noticed Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman aren’t participated liked here but I enjoyed their run on Y&R (around 2014). They reunited Nick & Sharon so maybe that’s why I’m slightly biased as a Shick fan, but the overall tone of the show was better. It started to really suck when Chuck Pratt came on board and that’s about when I tuned out. I’m pretty sure Tracey Thomson was involved in both of those writing teams so it’s really hard to know what she had a hand in and what she didn’t..
  15. I don’t particularly hate that, as long as the story doesn’t completely drop off the face of the earth and we are still getting some progression in the background while another story is taking centre stage. It’s certainly better than what Y&R is doing anyways. The only real “story” (if you even wanna call it that) is all about Cane and everything else just seems to get backburned completely. The storyline isn’t even good to begin with so when we do get to see some of the vets like Melody, Eric, Tracey, Christian, Jess, Sharon, Joshua, Michelle, Peter, etc.. their characters all seem to be talking about Cane or involved in that story in some kind of way. I guess there is one other story that is kind of front burner which is the Kyle/Audra stuff but other than that it just feels like nothing else is going on.
  16. I wonder why they chose to keep this quiet and how long she’s actually been at the show as a producer? I really haven’t noticed anything different in the way the show looks and feels.
  17. This was also around the time there were two Jacks and Jack was with Kelly. My memories are fuzzy but yeah, I remember thinking to myself.. am I watching Passions or Y&R? These kind of stories don’t belong on this soap. I love the occasional psychopaths (Cameron Kirsten, Tricia Dennison, Veronica Landers) come to mind, but they really started to take it too far.
  18. The introduction to Christian was around the time I stopped watching as a full time viewer (2016ish). It was that awful s/l where Sage’s baby (Christian) was given to Sharon by some psycho therapist lady from Nick’s past and then Sharon went off her meds and decided to keep Christian as her own. If I remember correctly Patty was also somehow involved while Sharon was in Fairview and it was just a big mess. The storylines were BADD back then too but the show still felt like it had some kind of budget atleast. Now it’s just bad and cheap.
  19. Oookay I’ll be watching out for that and see if there is any change in the writing style. it may seem like a weird critique but I would like to see the storylines be a bit more isolated. Not too isolated because that’s not good either, and I get that mostly everyone on the canvas is related but sometimes it feels like they’re all a little too involved in each others business and I don’t need that in order to buy that they’re a close knit family. Keep the stories separate. So, for example if something is going on with Chelsea or Kat I would 100% expect to see scenes with their mom/dads but I don’t need cousins, and aunts and uncles all getting involved. A good example of this is the character of Naomi. She is just all over the place and in everyone else’s orbit but doesn’t seem to have much going on herself. Give her and Jacob something juicy and good and spend the time building momentum. I don’t need endless talking scenes with relatives who are frankly irrelevant to the progression of story. JMO !
  20. Having a back from the dead S/L for such a minor character like Damien who has been on the show for about all of 5 minutes would NOT be entertaining and would certainly add to the ridiculousness that has already taken place. Holden was always the better of the 2 new men they brought in this year anyways. If they were gonna kill any character I’d rather it be Damien. I didn’t feel he added much of anything to the show. I would bring Chance back but I’d give it a couple years. Killing off a legacy character was dumb but I’d rather move on from this BS as soon as possible after we get some good scenes from Nina and Jill.. (who am I kidding, we probably wouldn’t even get that).
  21. Does anyone know when the first episode with the new head writers will air?
  22. Also, did not realize Ashley and the fireman broke up. This date with her and Andre is rather boring. Is Derek still even on the show, anyways? Ooooh I see a triangle brewing here between Kat and Eva or this Tomas guy. I definitely see potential here with continuing to build that rivalry between them. Still. I wish everything wasn’t millennial grey. Sigh. So many of the sets look too similar. Some color would be nice!
  23. Who are these June and Regina characters? I know they’re new cause they weren’t on when I started watching earlier this year. I’m intrigued. Love love love that they’ve decided to expand the cast and showcase different storylines. This is going to keep me watching
  24. I agree and I definitely preferred John Driscoll as well. I just think it’s such a bad move to kill off an important character like Chance. I don’t particularly love or enjoy MO as Abby but I’d be just as p*ssed if they killed her off given how much potential that character could still have.
