  1. The show should cut its losses with Eden/Joss. A few months ago, someone on the board mentioned that she's basically Sydney Sweeney (one note and range as a skill set) without the baggage and the description fit her like a glove. I'll acknowledge that GH leaves a lot to be desired with how characters are written, especially the women who often lack warmth or complexities. But it just isn't in the actress to make a large portion of the audience relate to Joss. And it's been years. She's been cold to the touch for years at the expense of the younger set. Carly Jr. was always going to be a hard sell but she's been in one flop story and pairing after another. This WSB story has to be the worst. Joss is an heiress-- not a killer or spy. I'd write Joss off to visit Jax in Australia and then bring her back in a year with a new actress who has the magnetic pull/acting abilities of Rory Gibson.
  2. This. Kristina is so badly written and miscast (there's something clinical and off-putting about how KM plays her). I wish the show would write her off. Alexis doesn't need two daughters who serve the same function on the show.
  3. Bold is so comically ridiculous. I can't help but be entertained that Brooke thinks simply telling Ridge that she wants Steffy's job means that's what will happen, as if there's not a Board of Directors to weigh in or Steffy actually refusing to step down. Steffy sucks but hurt feelings aren't a reason to fire someone from the top job. It's not propah. It's not propah at all.
  4. I don't begrudge Roger Howarth joining Y&R, especially in today's economy. But I really wish he hadn't gone on a press run about this role because it's so underwhelming and frankly boring. Matt's resurrection (his latest) and endless escapades since have been head-scratching. There was clearly never a story in place beyond stunt casting and going through the archives for a villain. Say what? What has happened to Bill Bell's show? It's a question I ask myself every few weeks. I zone out so many times, wondering why I still bother.
  5. I'm cautiously excited about this reboot and that's down to Debbi Allen being involved. It'll be cool to see the OG characters but I'm trusting Miss Allen will get the creative together. She did basically save the original.
  6. Thanks @DRW50 @Khan @Kane for the Isabelle explainer. I've been binging the early 90s of Loving (out of order), and the character's backstory fills in some gaps. Some of these plots seem right out of Passions, but it is a soap opera. Before this, all I really knew about the Isabelle actresses was surface-level and that Michael Weatherly said on a podcast that Celeste Holm kept her Oscar in her dressing room. Frankly, I'd do the same if I ever won one. My favorite version is Dabney's Isabelle, but Pat Barry cracks me up because she's so extra. And I remember her being on Ghostwriter as Lana Barnes.
  7. Do any Loving historians know why they kept recasting Isabelle Alden? It's amusing because the character gets a new personality with each new face. She's either matronly or a snobby schemer. I managed to track down some Loving/The City footage. As an adult, the Trisha/Trucker story is such a convoluted mess. I'm not sure why I'm supposed to be rooting for Trucker settling for Dinah Lee while Trisha does the same with her stalker. And it seems like a lot of men were obsessed with Trish. Giff just kidnapped her, and now poor Casey has PTSD. Speaking of Casey, he was the most human of the young adult set. I loved them all but they all seemed to switch partners at ease. Casey was stubbornly insecure, jealous, sensitive and loved Ally with all of his heart. It doesn't make sense to me that Cooper just goes along with Tyler/Ally struggling because Casey's ego might get hurt or that he wouldn't get security for them during the drug crisis. I loved Steffi and Cooper's relationship. I hated that Cooper cheated while in Paris, but it was in character, and they did a quick reunion on The City. The show did what they needed to in a handful of episodes. The writers should've written them out when Michael Weatherly left Loving in the spring of 1995. Ally really goes through a transformation after Casey's death, more gritty and less doe-eyed. Laura Wright and TW King had explosive chemistry but Danny and Ally hooking up on The City was a choice. Ally and Tony were alright, I guess.
  8. 😂😂 I had a Nene moment. How'd I get in it?!
  9. My issues returned too. It's been very hard to login (and stay logged in).
  10. Sonny/MB on the canvas feels like an airtime quota. For so long, both the actor and character dominated the show and were its center. I hate how he gets to sleepwalk through his scenes, scream "betrayed/betrayal" every few episodes, and that's considered cinema. The canvas could be jolted as the mob life catches up to Sonny, and he dies. Now, Dominic Zamprogna is putting in work as Dante. He always knocks it out of the park when given material, and he shines as a protective dad. Dante should've been told about what happened with Rocco. Dante/Lulu and Dante/Cashews (too funny) were nice confrontations. Britt was so dismissive of Lulu as she shared what it meant to lose not only four years with her son, but the entire pregnancy and those first seven months of his life. She missed that chance to bond with him. Britt's response? A Kanye shrug. She's such an unlikable piece of work. As for Rocco, I like that the writers have not leaned into making him an angel. His sensitivity is offset by the typical moods of a teenager, especially a boy. And the actor, for as young as he is, knows how to mesh all the conflicting emotions.
  11. Nina and her shrieking were Passions-level bad. It almost felt like a parody. But now we're gonna have two guys trapped in their bodies, and Brennan won't be able to get back in Carly's good graces by saving Joss. Either Anna or Jason will come to her rescue. As for Britt, the actress doesn't have the skill to play a layered vixen, and the writing is all over the place.
  12. What you said! I'd rather Jess Walton or no Jill at all.
  13. Does anyone have the June 1995 episodes? Specifically, the 29th and 30th.
  14. I'd take that over a pap smear. Judging by the comments, this episode feels all over the place. GH can be so good one day and then glitch the next. This should be a neon sign at GH. Speaking of retcons, one of the most offensive ones -- to me at least -- went down around 2013. It was when Stavros returned (again) and Lulu and Nikolas talked about how Helena had brought Nikolas to Port Charles. That is not what happened. Stefan, my favorite Cassadine, engineered all that. It just irrationally annoyed me.
  15. Y&R really pushes it by making Claire this naive girl who has never been anywhere, but I rolled my eyes at New York being one of those places. She's been an executive at Newman and now Nikki wants her to take over as president at Chancellor. But she's never been to New York?! It's the financial capital of the world. Lily's hair looked nice. I like the blonde highlights/streaks. That's all I've got because this show is dreadful.
  16. Unpopular opinion: Laura is the matriarch of GH, but the show would go on if she were written out tomorrow. Her character is so underwhelming and aimless. She moves from one plot point to the next (Ace, Heather, Esme, Lucky's bust return, Dalton and the worst mayor on record) without it meaning anything on the canvas. They need to kill off Nikolas and give her some interesting material.
  17. He can't be shoved out the door -- Fresh Prince of Bel Air style -- soon enough.
  18. Steve Burton's real life is messier than anything on GH. I feel for their daughter, the youngest child who is caught in the middle of parents who can't stand each other.
  19. I'll stick to what I saw live myself but I have always wished that I could've seen the Karen Woleck stuff in real time. GH: Click boom. Back then, I was just a kid collecting SOD magazines, and they hadn't said anything about Lily dying. I don't think this was spoiled at all, and it was worth the drama that followed for the next six months. The story went off a cliff when Miranda was introduced. Amazing Grace was a cinematic sequence. Sonny and Brenda still had that top tier chemistry after so many years and the story of her comeback was almost perfect. DAYS: Carrie interrupting Sami and Austin's wedding and punching her for all her schemes! Sami had that coming. Susan's fake teeth flying out of her mouth when her wedding to John got interrupted. Y&R: Sharon confronting Nick in the hotel about his affair with Phyllis. His face was so cracked. I also loved it when Sharon told Phyllis that she was like a dog in heat. Cassie's death. When Nadia's theme began to play, it was just too much. AMC: Erica's meltdown at the Woman of the Year Award. Loving: The Loving Murders. What a way to close out the show.
  20. I was being logged out for 2 days, but it's stabilized now (fingers crossed).
  21. This story is pointless. If GH hadn't shown Jordan and Curtis fooling around, I could buy into this WhoDunIt. But Jordan was a distracted driver and now the story seems focused on how she isn't pretty anymore.
  22. Thanks @Franko for pointing me in the direction of the uploads. I've been on a hard Loving binge lately.
  23. Looks like it. The baby/babies who play Phoebe are so adorable and cute.
  24. Sharon Case used to be one of my favorite actresses. I don't know what has happened to her in the past few years. There's only so much that you can blame bad material on. I wish the job market worked as well as it does in Genoa City. In what universe does Claire deserve to be president of any company?!
