Y&R November 2023 Discussion Thread
Oh, Lord. Chelsea is back. SNOOZE. The show needs more new blood like Claire to mix things up. That being said, I wonder why the show hasn't also put Heather in Adam's orbit. That would make sense and add conflict to Daniel's story if he disapproves.

B&B November 2023 Discussion Thread
I really am beginning to wonder if JM is actually retiring. If so, I'm glad they're at least giving him a big send-off story, and if Eric does die, are they going to bring all SIX of his kids back for the funeral. I can't remember. Did Kristen and Felicia return for Stephanie's funeral?

Y&R & B&B November 2023 Spoilers
Oh, Lord. Chelsea's back? IMO I don't see a place for this character at this point. Just like Scott Clifton on B&B, with Chelsea, I like the actress, but the character just feels done. Do we REALLY need another round of her between Billy and Adam??? This is one thing I think British soaps, such as Hollyoaks, do better than the US ones. They will drop a character once it's been played out to make room for new ones.

THE HORROR!!!

B&B October 2023 Discussion Thread
Same here. I love the actor, but the character has entered the "beyond annoying" realm. Maybe if they Jason Morgan him and have his entire memory wiped out. LOL. But, Liam as a character just feels done. Zende gave Luna the once over with an interested look. MAYBE they're thinking of using him as part of a triangle with RJ and Luna. It's a shame they don't do more with the character. The actor is gorgeous.

BOLD: Possible SPOILER
Oh, wow. I wonder if they really are killing him off because JM wanted to retire. If he does leave, I hope they have characters move into the Forrester mansion. It would be a shame to lose that set since it was there from day one.

Ratings from the 80's
Thanks so much for the SFT ratings! I wonder what NBC's expectations were ratings-wise when they picked up the show from CBS.

Ratings from the 80's
I was curious if anyone knew what was the highest rating SFT ever achieved on NBC.

Ratings from the 80's
As much as I loved AW, I wonder if SB would have had a better chance if it had followed DAYS. It feels that those two shows would have been a better back-to-back fit.

YR Promo: Lauralees 40th
I wonder if they'll just have Christine and Danny end up together, and then they both leave town.

B&B October 2023 Discussion Thread
Wow...they dragged Zende and Paris out of the backrooms of Forrester! When was the last time we saw them? January?? The room for the fashion show did look small, but I know budgets aren't what they used to be. I love Esther, but still don't understand how she ended up there...or why we're getting so much story about Charlie all of a sudden. Thomas and Hope were MIA which also doesn't make much sense...budget I assume. I still predict that Eric will win the fashion show and collapse immediately afterwards.

It's so funny that you mentioned Nick not parenting his kids. I hadn't watched much for a few years, and Nick had a line about his son, Christian. I was like...who the hell is that? We never see him with his younger kid, and rarely even with Summer.

B&B October 2023 Discussion Thread
I love seeing KL and Esther and happy she's getting a little more to do on Y&R lately, but I can't help but wonder who over at B&B was like..."I've got an idea! Why don't we bring Esther over for a few episodes!" I'm not complaining, but just wondering how did THAT happen?!

Y&R October 2023 Discussion Thread
Abby is so isolated from the Newmans that I forget she's Victor's daughter at times. It would make sense if one of the siblings at least reached out to Abby with their concerns, right?! IMO, Abby has been written as more Abbott than Newman. She rarely interacts with the Newmans at all. I personally think the show needs an Adam break. It's the same story over and over again. I would say rest the character and bring him back in a few years with a fresh perspective.

YR: Who is Claire Grace?
ITA. Audra is one of the highlights on the show for me, mostly due to the actress and how she elevates the material she's given. You never quite know whose side Audra is really on, perhaps just her own! It would be fascinating to find out what in her past made her to be the woman that she. The actress is Latina, and I think it would be wise for the writer's to slowly build a family around her and add more diversity. Newmans and Abbotts have married each other so many times that they're practically one family now.

I love that Esther is going to be there, but it feels so...random? Lauren makes sense, of course.

My hunch is that Eric will win the fashion show down but then collapses on stage.

DOOL: Promo from Day of Days
I'll be so mad if that happens. Sadly, too, there's hardly any Hortons left in town. In the last few years so many of them have been written out or put on recurring (Jennifer, Hope, Lucas, Will, Eli, Abby, JJ, Claire, Ciara). Who's even left at this point? Sarah? Maggie (Horton by marriage)? Julie (on recurring)? To me, the Hortons have always been the heart of the show. Even during JER's crazy supernatural years, he actually beefed up the Horton family on the canvas. I feel the current regime has focused SO MUCH on the Dimeras and stories that are beyond over the top and ludicrous that most other characters/ families have fallen by the wayside. It's one of the reasons I finally tuned out for the most part. For Nicole, this would be a "change of life" baby as they used to say about a mother who has probably already started menopause at this point!

Day of Days 2023
If they completely destroy that set, it would be such a slap in the face of long-time fans. I've been mostly tuned out the past year. I only went back to watch some of the Victor's death episodes. DAYS has always been a little nuts, especially since JER, but it just feels like DAYS bad fan-fiction now.

As soon as I saw Liam on my screen Friday, I thought..."Oh, crap. He's back." The character has become SOOO unrootable.

I agree. All the Newman stuff feels like "been there, done that" about ten times. Victoria/Nate is the only part I am remotely interested in.

Who is Liam going to talk to in circles about how Steffy is his true love or the fact that Hope kissed Thomas?

Bold actor out
Not a surprise. The show is so hyper-focused on a handful of characters there's no room for half the cast to do anything.

I'm liking Li being in all bitch mode. I mean, you can't blame her for hating Sheila. Sheila tried to kill her son! I still wish they'd hook her up with Bill.

This would have a made A LOT more sense that what we did get for the story.
