  1. I can only imagine how much the two of them together are costing the show. I would much rather have some Hortons, who have all but been eliminated, back on the show.
  2. Seriously, do we really need Ava back? The show already has enough "super villains" as it is.
  3. I would be okay with Billy and Chelsea leaving the canvas at this point. Billy has felt aimless for a couple of years now. It'd be better to rest the character and bring him back later down the road. I have similar feelings about Adam.
  4. Overall, I thought Friday was the best episode I have seen on DAYS in a very long time. No sci-fi nonsense, silly Leo storyline, over the top Dimera antics but just simple character exploration. I've loved the characters expressing the fact that Victor had a very dark side, too. All the different reactions to his death have been very well-written.
  5. The RJ obsession with saving Hope and Liam's marriage might could have worked if the writing has been more nuanced such as RJ coming from the point of view on how Ridge and Brooke's many marriages and divorces impacted him as a child. But, instead he's preoccupation with fixing everyone's marriage just feels odd.
  6. The sets are so tiny, too. It takes an actors about seven or eight steps...if that...to cross a room. Some of the sets on DAYS are especially tiny.
  7. So at the beginning of the show, I was like....maybe we're finally getting a Liam-free episode for once. But, NOPE, there he is! Smirking and being tiresome. Poor RJ. He's got a rocking bod. Should be having a fun youth focused story, but all he gets to do is play marriage counselor. Did Zende fall off the face of the earth?
  8. Having a teen version of one of Victoria's kids, maybe Katie, on the show at this point would really help flesh the character out. Katie could disapprove of the relationship with Nate throwing another obstacle along Nate's path.
  9. You're right. Noah should be the one dating Sally....not his dad. Between Nick and Adam getting to date all the much younger women, poor Noah doesn't stand a chance of a story. None of the Newman grandchildren have worked because their parents are still being played as 30-somethings. When was there last a mention of Reed? Victoria has three kids, but you get no sense of her as a mother. Faith went nowhere, too.
  10. The show just can't seem to figure out a way to write Noah that works. He's been recast so many times at this point. I was disappointed that they attached Allie to him so quickly and then dumped that character as well.
  11. Like some others, I started tuning in again after a very long time just to watch the fallout from Victor's death. Those scenes were great! I hope they really give SR a chance to shine with this story. Although, people come back from the dead so often, I don't see how anyone in Salem could take death seriously. The Leo/Gwen stuff was so out of left field. There's literally no one to root for in this story, and I'm so over all things Dimera.
  12. I love all the talk about the extra security around Eric's house, yet people just walk right into the house over and over with the front door obviously unlocked. Liam is coming off soooooo creepy in this storyline. His marriage to Hope ended what...three weeks ago...and he's pledging everlasting love to Steffy now. I'm so over both Liam AND Ridge ping-ponging between the same two women. It all comes off very misogynistic.
  13. I really enojyed Mia, too. I thought she had the potential to be the next Jill. But, then the whole family got shipped off except Rey. I've wondered if Audra created a persona, too. The actress could easily play Latina. There's sooo much potential with this character. I just hope they don't squander it. I love that scene! I wish we had a rough around the edges character on the show like that right now.
  14. Monday's episode was yet another one where the same six characters repeat the same exact lines from the week before. I checked out before the opening. Speaking of the opening, if you were a casual viewer of the last month or so, it'd be perfectly understandable if you thought the show only had seven to eight characters.
  15. I think the show really has something with ZS. Even when the writing is super thin, she manages to elevate it and give it more life. I, too, would love to learn her backstory. The character has so much potential, and there's so many interesting directions they could take her.
  16. I really loved Hollyoaks until about the last six months. The show feels like a bit of a chore to get through. Either the stories are very dark and depressing or total fluff. I'm really over the Reign character, too.
  17. For some reason, RC has always struggled writing something for Shawn and Belle when there's so much potential there.
  18. Right?! I'm surprised the judge didn't just meet everyone at Crimson Lights or that same hotel room have the characters live in! And speaking of that same hotel room everyone lives in... I get it. It's budget reasons, but the least they could do is sort of change up the set decorating a bit. When it's the SAME room set up in the SAME way, it just makes things look even cheaper.
  19. I wonder if he has some of agreement for them to let him stay listed as contract in the cast...perhaps the same at Kate Lindner, who I do wish they would use more. She would have been the perfect character to take over the coffeehouse versus tying Sharon to it. I watched the closing credits of a 90s episode on YouTube and counted the number of contract actors listed. It was 40! And, then some recurring characters were listed as well. I miss when soaps could have such a large, well-rounded cast.
  20. A Liam murder mystery...or putting him a coma for a long bit...would be a much needed break. If he wasn't on...every...single...episode...repeating the same exact dialogue and being insufferable. It's odd that they haven't shown Bill reacting to any of this. I mean he just tried to put Shelia away. It seems like Bill would be coming up with all sorts of plans to keep Shelia away from his granddaughter. I wish we didn't just see the same seven or eight actors episode after episode.
  21. I could have done without Summer and the green screen rollercoaster. That being said, the show has to go with Chance/Summer. That's where the chemistry is. Chance/Sharon equals boredom. And, Connor Flynn deserves his own storyline beyond just doing police work. I knew Phyllis would, of course, get off. They should have at least sent her to "jail" for a couple of months and then have her return ready to stir up trouble again. I wonder if they are planning on using/keeping Christine in any capacity beyond this. I think the show sort of missed the boat with her not ever having kids of her own because she's not really tied to any of the characters beyond friendship. I feel like CLB would have made sense to be Phyllis' lawyer during all this. Which makes me wonder if he wasn't available and/or isn't really on contract anymore.
  22. I like this idea. It could be a great umbrella story. I, too, am so over the corporate talk. Killing Coleen was a HUGE mistake and made no sense at all. And, to give Victor her heart, just rubbed salt in the wound. It also limited Tracy's potential in the future.
  23. I wish more characters who take Liam to task for the wishy-washy bore that he is. I think SC is a great actor actually, but there's only so much he can do with this writing. Liam is so insufferable.
  24. The turning of Ben, the serial killer, into a romantic lead was one of the things that initially caused my viewership to drop. It was just too much. So, I can understand why they switched him to Alex, but after playing a serial killer/hero for so long, that's all I saw when played Alex. I liked a lot of RC's writing the first few years as I do believe he really loves the genre, but I think for the show to continue into the future it needs a good reboot. Cut back on the constant coming back from the dead, sci-fi Dr. Rolf, so so so many Dimeras, and give us more stories with actual character development that have some sort of heart. No more mask wearing to cause conflict - PLEASE!!
  25. LOL...right?! There are so many corporations mentioned on the show in every episode I wonder if the writers/producers have to use a huge whiteboard just to write them all down...who works where this week, what their "job" is, etc. Sometimes I get so tired of hearing about the latest "exciting" business development.
