  1. ITA. I skipped about two weeks, turned on the show, and saw that nothing had really happened.
  2. I hope so, too! These increases are encouraging! I still think the show hasn't had it's big break out story yet, and for my taste, still moves a little slow. But, hopefully, this will be the year for it!
  3. This story would work so much better if Jeremy WAS STAYING in Salem and became involved with Joy. Would have been an interesting four-some and conflict.
  4. Great news for all the soaps! I'm glad GH has been doing so well. It's the most entertaining of the 5 to me right now, and the only one I watch daily.
  5. It's interesting that the new way Nielsen is calculated, BTG seems to be up in total viewers but down in the demos.
  6. Such a waste of a talented actor who easily fit right in and had great chemistry with a lot of the other characters. Not to mention...handsome. But, hey, I'm sure we'll get lots more Kristen, Leo, etc etc. :(
  7. I started watching OLTL in 92 because of the Billy Douglas storyline which was very impactful to me at the time. I loved Michael Malone's first stint on the show. The second one was very so-so. Besides Agnes Nixon and maybe Malone, who do you believe were the best head writers for the show during its run?
  8. I recently streamed the whole show and hadn't seen it since being a kid in the 80s. The stark change in tone in season 8 was jarring. The show became sooooo slow and boring. I found some of season 9 entertaining, especially the first 13 episodes, but it was like a whole different show by then.
  9. But, I'm sure they'll write endless more episodes of Kristen, Leo, etc...
  10. WTH???? The actor was the best addition to the show in YEARS. He had chemistry with everyone, handsome, fit in so well with the Hortons. I don't understand why this show cannot write for the Hortons. Since the new writing regime, there are some good "scenes" but not good "stories" if that makes sense. I had renewed Peacock because I wanted to see the anniversary and Xmas episodes, but I think I'm canceling again.
  11. I thought she was fascinating as Patty the first time, and the show made the mistake of taking her too far and writing the character into a corner. I had wished they had stopped short of that and found a way to keep her. That being said, I don't trust this show to do anything right these days.
  12. Yay for BTG! I hope it continues! Glad GH is still doing well, too.
  13. I just don't understand why Noah can't have a love interest close to his own age. This show seems to do everything to avoid the "young" in the "Young and the Restless."
  14. OMG....I thought the same thing. He looked soooo good in those long johns, and I agree, I like the thicker version. :)
  15. Exactly! This would be great!
  16. I've been saying this for a while now. It's the one thing about the show that has sort of bugged me. We've had zero star-crossed lovers that are trying to get together but are kept apart for various reasons...a soap staple.
  17. Compared to the other soaps, GH has been ON FIRE lately! I'm glad to see their numbers improving.
  18. That's awesome news!
  19. I watched every episode of BTG for the first seven months or so. But, now I go days without watching, and sometimes I'll only watch for a few minutes. I soooo badly want this show to succeed, but to be honest, it's just felt so boring for so long now. It feels like nothing is happening and there is no story movement. There are definitely no twists and turns, so there's no urgency to watch. I thought something would finally happen once we found out Hayley's plan, but all she's done for weeks is make tea for Bill. YAWN. While I think the Anita cancer story is an important one, it's practically been the whole show for weeks now. There's not enough stuff to balance it out. We all know Anita's going to come through this, and Dani is certainly not going to get cancer and die. I need more surprises, more cliffhangers, and not endless conversations about the same things. One thing I think has been missing from the show from the start has been there is no "starstruck couple" who are being kept apart and that we can root for. What's the closest? Andre and Dani? They're already married. CBS can't be happy that the demos are now what The Talk was doing. I just hope that they make the show compelling again before CBS loses interest. That would be so sad and horrible for the future of the genre.
  20. I think the frustrating part for me right now is that the show can have some nice scenes, for example, I enjoyed the Marlena/Sarah stuff on Tuesday, but there doesn't seem to be much in actual story and certainly nothing that feels like it has any energy to it.
  21. So, I wasn't the only one who noticed.
  22. Okay, so what interesting promo. I REALLLLLLY hope Jeremy is not the crazy fan. The actor works so well with everyone he's in scenes with. But, WTH could it be if not Jeremy?
  23. Will and Electra take boring to another level, and no, the Psycho of the Week story doesn't make them any more interesting.
