OLTL- The Billly Douglas story in the early 90s. I was a gay teen coming out at the same time as the story aired, and it meant so much to me to see a gay teen, who was going through some of the same stuff I was, represented on TV. This was back in the day when soaps actually tackled social issues often before other forms of media. I watched the show on and off during the rest of its years, but it always held a special place for me because of that story.

The hardest part has to be repeating essentially the same dialogue over and over and try to make it sounds natural somehow.

I agree. The character needs a rest. BIG TIME. I would much prefer see a story with Bill or Wyatt than Liam. Jack would be a great character to bring onto the canvas. Brooke is his bio mom, and Taylor gave birth to him. He could have an axe to grind with BOTH women. I could see him being similar to what Jonathan was to Reva on GL...the son from hell!

As someone mentioned in a previous comment, it's like ChatGPT is writing the show. They fed the system a few months of episodes, and this is what the AI is churning out. Wyatt and Liam have had the same exact conversation more times than I can count.

I can't believe Liam missed a whole two episodes because it felt like he was in every single episode.

I second that. I really hope he gets more to do than just play therapist for his family.

I REALLY hope that this is not it. John's backstory has been changed so many times I'm not ever sure Drake could tell you what it is.

At least it's a new character...which this show desperately needs! Some more new blood would be quite welcome at this point.

I used to think Finn was beyond boring, but he's gotten more of an edge with this story. I hope that continues. I'd love to see him...not get as twisted as Sheila...but becoming much more aggressive. I just want him to punch Liam so bad!

It was bad enough with the whole Ben/Alex switch-a-roo, but this is beyond stupid...and that's saying A LOT for this show.

I'm going to start the new Y&R drinking game. You have to take a shot each time the following words are used in dialogue.... Merger Takeover Company I can't keep track of all the mergers, takeovers, instant companies that pop up, nor do I care. It's a head scratcher as to why TPTB think that these "stories" are what's going to get the audience to tune in. I could care less who's running Chancellor-Winters-Adustus-SNA-Kirsten-Newman Media- Newman Communications-Simply Ashley this week. Now, Sally's starting a company! It's almost comical...definitely not interesting on a dramatic front.

When was the last time we saw this much of Esther within one month?! I always enjoy her appearances because the character reminds me of the 80s when I first started watch the show as a kid. I hope with Crimson Lights we get to see her a bit more than we have the past years.

I'm kind of curious to see how this Eric/Ridge story plays out. Hell, it's nice to see ANYTHING that doesn't revolve around Liam/Steffy/Hope. I still can't believe they let Rena Sofer go without even ending her story properly. She and LSV were the hottest couple the show had had in YEARS and were like a breath of fresh air. But, now we're back to wash, rinse, and repeat! Since Bradley Bell is supposedly part of the WGA strike, I wonder if the Micheal Minnis, who took fi-core status to keep working, has much leeway on what he can even write for the show. It sort of feels like the show isn't really moving ahead in terms of plot at all.

Hmmm...I'm kind of curious to see how this plays out. It would have been interesting if they used him for a short arc as Tommy Horton, Alice and Tom's oldest who is supposedly still alive, to introduce some new Hortons in the mix. I know I'm dreaming though!

I agree, and she's soooo talented. She's one of the best actors on the show.

It would be interesting if they did a story about Mariah's past in the cult and when she wasn't such a nice person. At this point, she's basically Cassie without calling her Cassie.

I understand the budget reasons behind the hotel room, but it drives me nuts. Can't they at least change the decor up. It's especially glaring when they show multiple characters in the same room in the one episode. How much time would it take to switch out a plant or...anything...so it looks like a different room.

That's true! Didn't Bill throw his own niece over a balcony? We REALLY need some new characters on this show to freshen it up. Poor RJ needs someone his own age!

Another episode of people having the SAME conversations over and over. I usually watch on fast-forward if I watch at all. How could Hope have ever been interested in Thomas after all the horrible things he's done to her and her family? It's Los Angeles! There's no one else for her to date. You would think these people live in some podunk town where your only option for someone to date is your crazy step-brother or one of your current in-laws.

I thought that, too! Is there no one else that works at this hospital...other doctors, nurses, clerical staff??? Nope.

I liked him, too. I thought he fit in the role very easily. She just wasn't the friendliest compared to the others. Who knows though? Maybe she was just having a bad day.

I had the chance to meet her once at a convention that some of the cast just happened to be at promoting a DAYS anniversary book. It was around the time that Maggie first started getting huge stories again...2010/2011-ish. She was so super sweet, insisted we take a picture, and excited that she was being used as a front burner character again. Judi Evans and Renee Jones were also there, and both were quite charming as well! Louise Sorel...well...not quite as charming.

I know, right? I was impressed, too! I really do like the chemistry between him and ED.
