  1. I started watching as kid when Lau played Jamie, so I didn't have any reference for the actors before him. But, it always seemed that they didn't quite know what to do with the character. Russell Todd's version, even though he was quite handsome, never really took, either. Just reading about the history of the show, IMO, TPTB aged Jamie way too quickly, too, and it prematurely aged the character of Rachel.
  2. I wonder what the point is to being "secretly recurring" especially in a non-legacy character like Elena.
  3. Not that they'd ever let the show get this complex, but, I've always thought B&B had the potential to explore the Upstairs/Downstairs aspect with Forrester Creations. You'd have all the execs and creatives "upstairs" and all the lower-income, not so glamourous underlings in the basement where Thorne once worked. Of course, there would be the classic character trying to claw their way up. Sigh. But, instead we just get constant conversations about mints, toes, and dialogue that goes in circles and has an amount of depth that even my betta fish could follow the show.
  4. ITA...for example, on Y&R, almost all the characters are already super rich and successful. There's not the class conflict or the person clawing their way up to provide conflict. Not to mention, it's hard to believe people are billionaires when their home is only about ten feet wide...cough...the Newmans..cough.
  5. How many of Steffy's 20 appearances were just her repeating the same dialogue about how Sheila is "dead" and they "don't have to worry about her anymore." How is Paris possibly still on contract???
  6. Between a doctor not taking someone who has been chained to a wall for days to the hospital to women acting like Liam is some gift from the Gods again... I think I'm done. I just can't even hate watch the show anymore.
  7. Me, either. Great to see them get a stand alone!
  8. Final Draft is the buggiest software I've ever used. It makes me want to throw my computer out the window sometimes!
  9. ITA...I was looking forward to a more developed Lily/Daniel/Heather story. MG and CK have such great chemistry.
  10. Wait...did Billy and Abby actually meet and NOT ONCE talk about what the hell is going on with Ashley???
  11. I thought the same thing!!! Like, CALL AN AMBULANCE AND THE POLICE! Don't just smile all googly-eyed at her. And, God knows what was in that random sports drink bottle. While God was giving out brains, Finn and Deacon were busy Googling "What is sugar?"
  12. I'm so excited about Liam meeting up with Ivy and Steffy and Hope being jealous and....wait...no...I'm literally not excited about ANY of that. Happy nine toes, mints, and staplers to you all!! I really miss when random people would tell Carter he was "just like family" all the time. We don't get that anymore.
  13. It's so funny that no one in the Abbott family has bothered to tell Abby that her mom is losing her marbles. Has no one thought to call her??? I could care less who runs Chancellor-Winters...snore.
  14. Unfortunately, the show would never be that creative.
  15. What a random character to bring back. The show needs more characters that AREN'T Forresters at this point. It's all so incestuous as it is.
  16. And one thing that drives me nuts is that besides Jabot, we have NO IDEA what the hell any of these companies even do. There are so many companies talked about I'm not sure even the writers know. Like...what the hell was the point of Sharon inheriting that random company from the psycho? There was no purprose.
  17. Deacon looks so thrown by computers and how to use them. I'm waiting for him to type "What is the internet?" into a search engine next.
  18. This show turns into a snoozefest anytime people starting talking about mergers, takeovers, yada yada yada.
  19. Besides Sheila/Deacon, the rest of the show was just FF. We did not need, in the least, for Liam and Steffy to basically repeat the same tired dialogue they said on Friday to each other. Write a "B-story" for God's sake!!
  20. I think Nick works better when he's the Newman son who's NOT involved in the family business but has other stuff going on. God knows we already have enough "vague, ill-defined corporate drama" going on all the time. Abby was rocking one of Stephanie Forrester's old pantsuits today.
  21. Yeah, the Newmans are kind of a mess. Victoria's kids, outside of Claire, are MIA. Nick kind of floats around in limbo with no real purpose. Outside of Summer, none of Nick's kids have worked as characters since they keep trying to present Nick as a dude in his 30s. Noah and Kyle should be leading the 20-somethings. Christian is a missing non-entity. They never really even tried with Faith. Adam feels VERY repetitive, and IMO the show would be just fine without his character for awhile. Abby is not even thought of as part of the Newmans it seems as she rarely interacts with them.
  22. Has anyone noticed how absent Nick is in Summer's life? Also, you can easily forget that Abby is Victor's daughter since she never interacts with that side of her family? Not to mention, I thought it was strange that Abby was missing from the "Ashley intervention" episodes. I think part of it is that Abby as a character has never really "popped."
  23. mints! toes! mints! toes! B&B has turned into a satire of soaps.
  24. I agree...this story is HORRIBLE and offensive. While the actor playing RJ is no Robert DeNiro, he's kind of grown on me. But, this story totally threw Zende under the bus from which he can't come back, and the actress who plays Luna deserves better. ALL the actors deserved better than playing out this storyline. The show had a chance to develop a true love triangle with the three, but there's no where to go with this story. What the hell was the end point for this story supposed to be? It comes off as written by a misogynist who has no idea what consent really means.
  25. I agree. I feel bad for the actor because they've ruined the character. I'm not sure how Zende can come back from this especially since he's not taking ANY of the blame. They should have had BOTH Zende and Luna take the "magic mints" if they just HAD to do this storyline. Then, it might have worked a LITTLE better, but the whole story is just BAD.
