I went down a random Love Boat rabbit hole and skimmed through the ’78 2-part Season 2 premiere, guest-starring our beloved Donna Mills!

    https://youtu.be/c8nIPQ1WxgY

    https://youtu.be/jdtbu3DFRuM

Donna has described how she spent the entirety of the 70s stuck in “damsel-in-distress” role and this is a perfect example. I won’t spoil the plot except to say that she falls in love with a handsome stranger, played by David Birney (eeek, this is the actor later revealed to be abusing his wife Meredith Baxter Birney). Donna's character and story is very serious and woe-is-me.

The whole time I’m watching this, I’m seeing her intelligence and talent shining through, and I’m thinking, she deserves much better than this.

I can only imagine how landing the role of Abby must have been salvation for Donna!

i felt something familiar when i watched her on murder mystery called "A Star Is Dead" pretty lame, but Donna In her rather Small Role made it worthwhile, the bonus was a glimpse at the Beautiful Carla Borelli, who appeared on a little scene. But as you said Donna was in yet another damsel in distress role, one that dies

Ha! Two parts of "Conundrum" are now reality. Although in that case, Southfork was completely gone to facilitate a housing development. (The first thing that came true was Linda Gray appearing on a daytime soap.)

LOL! TRUE! I Just hope Southfork never completely ceases to exist, it's a monument to TV History

Now This Actress Who Was On My Fave Episode from Designing Women's First Season has sadly passed a few months Ago, I Just Found Out Now, Never knew she was on Dallas, does anyone know whom she played?? Apparently not even IMDB has that info, also any updaptes on the remastering would be really appreciated

    Hi everyone!

After a few hiccups here and there, I am happy to say the current iteration of the B&B Vault is now LIVE! I have updated the link on the first post but it's also available below:

    https://bit.ly/3N9cSkw

I'm deciding on one change however, and that is no longer offering the option to register users into the Vault. It's very time consuming for me to keep a contact list of people, and then transfer them over between locations when Vault locations need to be moved. Unless there is a really good reason to (such as taking the initiative to re-organize/rename files), it is not necessary as anybody can upload files as guests.

90% of issues around accessing the Vault can be resolved by ensuring you are using Incognito Mode (Chrome) or Private Browsing Mode (Safari).

Thank you all for your patience and may the uploading once again begin! Hopefully this is the last time I have to do this for a while haha.

    THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!

  4. HOW'S THE SHOW'S REMASTERING GOING??? ANY HD QUALITY VERSION AVAILABLE YET? I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP TO GET HD EPISODES TO PUT TOGETHER FOR BARBARA BEL GEDDES CENTENARY, I'VE GOT SOME OF HER EARLIER Works, but I Would Just Love To Put on some scenes Of Miss Ellie

Hmm. I see the resemblance but that was an actor named John James, I believe. At any rate  not Larry Lau. But, a guy who had been on Dynasty & some other stuff. He had a great character name, Rick Decker. Check it & I think you'll find John James.

No I believe That Was Brian Played By Laurence Lau, A middle aged man who was a closeted GAY, He married Lucinda but seemed more interested in Luke, they kissed around 3 times and Ruined Luke's Relationships with both Lucinda and Noah, he was referring to, didn't even now John James was on ATWT

No, Lily was a victim of incest by her father and the story happened onscreen. The characters were all dropped after because of its content and because ABC was promoting "Something About Amelia". Folks need to read more.

Humm then he did it twice? Because I've just watched a couple of 1991 ATWT Episodes and Angel was there giving her testimony about her father's Abuse, the character sounds fascinatingly complicated, I wonder if she could've been a DID Victim as well, if Marland Stayed on I mean

Roger, Original Ann, Doug, Merrill, Lily were all gone too soon. However I understand that Ava, Shana, Dane, Gwyneth and Trisha helped the show "wake up".

I just loved a great article on Marland's Pet Actors who followed him from one soap to the Next, it Mentioned That Lily was Originally Slated to be an Incest Victim by her Father, The story was forbidden by the Network and The characters Dropped, Marland Ultimately Did The Storyline With Angel Lange on ATWT

It should have happened. EJ was twisted enough to use Will to get back at Sami and Will was head strong enough to go against his mother. It would have been fire works. It didn't have to be a romance (maybe in Will's head) no need to make people love or ship this couple. It should have been a dark story. They were going there with Kristen at the time, dark I mean.

Oh yes the unforgettable Kristen The Rapist story! I admit I would've liked a glimpse at that, maybe they could do it now on Peacock, They Have A Gay Icon EJ now

  9. Heads Up Another Y&R Channel called YRFan99 has been killed too,  it has more recent clips, It's Officially A Witches' Hunt, It pains me, NBC is not going to Post No Classic DOOL, CBS Is Not Making Any Classic Y&R Available, So Why Kill Channels that only actually help bring interest in the [!@#$%^&*] they put out?

I am going to pray they don't delete the vault. This will break my heart. God bless you for keeping it safe.

It would break mine too, Also thanks for your recent Additions to the I Finally Saw the episodes of Morgan's Return in 2005 It was Great!

    Hi All,

Quick update - Unfortunately all good things must come to not an end, but a slight roadblock as Microsoft has flagged the account holding the B&B Vault as "unauthorized". This just means I will need to source another under-the-table OneDrive account and migrate everything on there. I'll do my best to get this done this week. Unfortunately what this also means is that new uploads can't be made until I've migrated everything, which will take some time.

I'll continue to post updates as things develop. Thank you in advance for your patience!

Oh That's Sad! It's a bad Day for Bill Bell's Soaps Fans, Two Y&R Channels on YouTube were brought Down, and My Namesake said He Received Copyright Complaints and Would be Unlisting and Deleting Stuff now This, THANK YOU Very much for all your efforts and all the amazing videos and clips, The Vault Is A Gift we can't thank you enough for

@Joseph this is a very interesting way of introducing the character given Robin’s claim that Paul Rauch’s original idea was to replace her with Louise.

Louise looks great here, love her in that icy mod ensemble.

I know, and It's Amazing Seeing Louise as a non Crazy Villain

Kristian Alfonso should have been nominated for Zach's death (anyone else remember that primal scream?). She was only nominated once the mid 80s for Younger Actress and I can understand why she wasn't nominated since, but those scenes were exceptional.

Indeed! And For When Shawn was believed dead too, I might be A Minority here but I Also think she deserved a Nomination for her Work During the Original Princess Gina Storyline in The 1990's she did a Fine Job showing the difference Between Gina and Hope, it's a pity the Storyline was ultimately too long and dragged up (I understand it suffered from 2 Changes in Writers) and Even more demeaned by the Cheap Revivals

I'd have given Carmen Duncan a Best Supporting Actress Emmy for this scene:

The other absolute shame is that Louise Sorel didn't garner a Best Supporting Actress nomination for the Buried Alive storyline. This scene was worthy, she was terrifying:

I also think Lauren Koslow should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work as Kate on DAYS twice. Once, during the 1998 storyline where she framed Sami for Franco's shooting, and again in 2009 when Kate married Stefano.

I do believe Koslow Was Almost Nominated In 2009, but she ultimately wasn't

I agree with the three of your choices

Which is a shame because they had different personalities and places on the canvas.  I think had Nathan #1 not left, Bill Bell wouldn't have lost interest.

Why is Maura West not on this list?  She was a bad fit for the show no matter what character she played.

And Michelle Stafford would get an award for biggest letdown since she hasn't gotten a hold of the character since returning this past time.  Gina T.and Sandra Nelson had a more intense and scary vibe when they played Phyllis

True recently Phyllis seemed weaker, and Lost some of her Spark, I would seriously consider giving Stafford a Vacation, Also would Love if Sandra Nelson ever returned, even If as a new character, In my personal Y&R story Bible I wrote a character for Her Called Cassandra Stavros, A seemingly Innocent Greek Millionairess Who's married to a Sleaze but is In Truth A Master Manipulator who plays him around her little finger

Yeah it is a shame, and I agree. Had Purdee stayed he might have kept Nathan around and done better. Bell is on record as preferring to keep original actors. With only some minor exceptions (those that were maybe only in the role a few weeks or less) I feel the same was true with Leslie Brooks. She became nothing more than a reactionary character for Lorie, rather than a more fully fleshed out character. I even feel Deborah Adair's Jill was sidelined until Jill married John, but the character really became a centre piece again more so once Brenda came back.

I liked Michelle in her first run, sometimes a bit over the top though. My memory is of multiple episodes of her standing in her apartment spouting exposition all the time. Sandra was far better though, but the show just wasn't as strong. I wish Sandra had stayed to be honest. I did like Michelle though and I didn't mind Phyllis and Jack. Though I was barely watching by that point.

I too love Sandra as Phyllis and as I Said Wish she either never left or came back once Stafford Left but as The Uploader said she was too sophisticated, makes sense it's a valid point, Many later Storylines with Phyllis wouldn't become her

Original cast member.  He played Dr. Jerry Chandler.  He’s in the premiere episode that is on the streaming service.

Whoa! I remembered him from The Golden Girls and Dynasty, he really was around
