Three CBS soaps introduced new villains cut from the JR mold, and all four had parental issues plus their mothers were played by Golden Age Hollywood actresses.

Barbara Bel Geddes (Who just turned 100)

    Jane Wyman

    Dorothy McGuire

    Ava Gardner

    YEP you're very right!

It should be on the Y&R Vault. I don't know what exactly the clip was that was deleted, but she can be seen for example in Clip (57a) from 1984 under clips: https://mobile.twitter.com/yrvault?lang=en You can access the Vault's link there.

Very nice to see a fan from Italy!

I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure It was Melinda's Jill and Jack Talking Lindsay blackmail outside the Abbott Mansion, I don't if the vault clips have it, although I remember an August Clip with Her Eavesdropping on John and Dina on the vault

  3. So I hate being the asking guy but is there any chance someone has the Episode Patty Steals Genevieve's Wedding Dress and Shoots Jack?? It's January 30, 2012, I searched a lot for it and couldn't find, Except the Episode in a nice quality but with absolutely no sound

I was just unsuccessfully searching for my favorite campy Sheila line of all time.

I believe it is right before the fight in the lab in 1992.  Sheila is gaslighting Lauren at the hospital and suggests a playdate between their two kids.  Lauren looks at her with astonishment and Sheila responds, "oh right, you can't, because your baby is dead."

I mean, it's not subtle, but it was fun.

Awww Nuts I Knew Exactly Where To Find It! But I went looking and seems that channel is Over!!! It was Simian Liner or something like that, it had some Sheila Clips as well as Many Brenda Dickson's Jill ones

In regards to Natahn and Keesha I wondered why they didn't let it play out onscreen.

I was wondering this. Why the hell would John marry Jill again especially since she'd slept with Jack twice, one of which cost him 25% of Jabot. Even worse, the marriage barely lasted a year. Jill has not had a  long term romantic lead to my recollection since that second divorce. John really hadn't learned his lesson about these kinds of women when he married Gloria much later on, not to mention Dina.

LOL and I Remember he was once Interested in JoAnna Manning, Lauren's Mom, another No Good Lady, Dina Was His Weakness Every Decade she reappeared and He Would Briefly fall back in love with Her, Bill Bell always seemed to want to find a way for them to get back together but would never really go there, The Nearest of A Reconciliation they could get was after John Divorced Jill, But Dina Left At That Same Time! I Wonder if he Felt that Once Dina Became The Abbott Matriarch, Mamie Would Have To Go! Also What A Sin Dina Didn't Come For John's Funeral, I would love a Good barbs exchanged between Gloria and her

And What Can Be Said on Nikki And Victor's Last Free For All??? Wasn't it Weird Of Them to renew They're vows to have an Open Marriage?

I tried to get into this shower and even found a source to watch it daily.
But it’s so damn boring like that other show from BBC Scotland or whatever: River City.

Everytime I tried watching an episode I felt so bored.

Any chance of sharing that source with me? Please

So nice to see so much conversation about Flamingo Road. I would kill to get a chance to see it through new eyes from start to finish. Not quite sure how it never made it to a small little complete-series DVD release on the star power of Morgan Fairchild and Mark Harmon.

I'm Working on Getting It, As Well as Working On Getting Berrenger's, Bare Essence, Glitter, The Yellow Rose, Knots Landing, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, Paper Dolls, The Colbys, Hotel and Filthy Rich (1982), But FR I'm Pretty Near Of, So I'll let You know, Not Sure If I'll Post The Full Episodes Or Clips though that depends on Copyrights

I can see Stella Stevens staying on as she did daytime a few years later. maybe Barbara Rush but really no one else.

I think they would have gone with a mixture of available daytime names and primetime people who were no longer A list and would give daytime a try.

How about Robin Eisenman as Constance? She had already played Jennifer on SFT before Morgan. I'll have to do some more thinking.

    Betsy von Furstenburg as Eudora?

Love the Two last ones lol

but tragic that this is the 50th anniversary!

But it’s safe to say Emmerdale will win a few awards for best drama probably and best family again (Dingles)

Really??? They Made A Killing For the 50th Anniversary? I gotta see that

The time to bring her back was in 2013 when Nick was unravelling. I really wish they'd spun Nick's shooting into a longer term whodunnit, and NOT killed him off in the process (ultimately have Gabi still be the shooter, but set Will, Sonny, Sami, and others as viable suspects). Having Jessica back around this time to help with Nick's recovery and have her and Hope mix it up during the investigation would have helped re-establish her. Have her at odds with Will and Sonny, with Jessica particularly hostile toward Will as he's not only the b*stard of a b*stard, but also gay? It would help explain Nick's homophobia a little better than prison rape, imo.

Plus, I'd have a recast Josh Fallon come on, still married to Jessica, but with them on the outs thanks to her prissy, uptight, neurotic nature that's manifested itself in smothering Nick, partly why Nick left for Salem - to get away from his mother. I'd have someone like Robert Parucha come on as Josh, and have him eventually start an affair with Hope after Jessica's antics push Joshua far enough away (let's face it, it was never really gonna work with Aiden).

Buuuut that time is long past.

Oh Hi @beebs Glad You're Back!

Sure.. I tried a few to find replacements for the boring US soaps. I still love my GH and YR but there are way better soaps out there.

But interesting that one year after Germany did their soap opera verbotene liebe that the they from Sweden did their own. Never heard about it. I just know that Poland did a version of their own of “Unter uns”..

I will check this Swedish version out

    https://youtube.com/channel/UC75edkftDi22XmYRhawiy1w

This Channel Has Lots Of Skilda Världar, even if not the Full Thing, Sons And Daughters has an Entire Legacy! I Think it was also adapted on Greece and Italy

  12. I came Across A Few Like Swedish Skilda Väldar a version of Sons and Daughters/Verbotene Liebe, Riviera (1991), Il Paradiso delle Signore (2015 -), La Vallée Des Peupliers (1986), Le Temps De Vivre Le Temps D'Aimer (1973) etc,, but know little about them as no one seems To be talking about any of those (except for Riviera's Already closed thread i thought about maybe Initiate this threadimages.jpeg

  13. Sounds Like it Shared The Fate of The Aussie Soap "The Power, The Passion" from 1989

Anyways I always try The short lived Soaps since I feel like there's a possibility of me Watching it all, I tried ElDorado but not finding it that interesting and gave up after about 10 Episodes

Bobbie played a TV reporter, which seems like it could have been a natural recurring character, but was overall sporadic.

Thanks For The Info! IN those pics she looks like Someone J.R. Might've bedded, It would've been nice if they tried her on "The Ewing needs good publicity" Storylines, Instead of That useless Character played by The Great Susan Flannery or Stephanie Rip-off Rodgers by Lesley Ann Down (Look Both Of Massimo's Women were on Dallas).
