ARTICLE: Procter & Gamble On Daytime Television Return: “We Invented the Soap Opera”
The P&G woman speaker at the podium in the video said correctly that GL was 72 years. The male background video narrator got it confused and said ATWT was 72 years. He was probably supposed to say that ATWT was one of P&G's soaps and that P&G had been doing soaps for 72 years, but he messed it up, or the script they gave him messed it up.

The “56th NAACP Image Awards” will take place during an extended 2.5-hour live TV special, airing Saturday, February 22, 2025 *Live* at 8 PM EST or 5pm PST on BET and CBS. My TVListings show it will air on: CBS, BET, BET-Plus, BET-Her, Smithsonian, Comedy Central, VH1, MTV, MTV2 Pop-TV, LOGO-TV, TVLand. (presumably also on Paramount Plus at some point, either live or delayed, depending on your plan.) I seem to remember that they plan to promote BTG that night.

I mentioned this on another thread, following up here: Regarding the B&B reruns week of Feb. 17-21 Don't know what will happen with B&B fashion -- now, since the amazing Jeresa Featherstone went over to BTG. OHHHH. maybe that's why the B&B reruns airing week of Feb. 17-21 were chosen? Mon Feb. 17 Eric/Ridge fashion show October 2023 -designed by Jeresa Featherstone (she has pics on her instagram) Tues Wed Thurs Feb 18, 19, 20: June 2023 remote shoot in Rome: They had to use some Italian designers to do business cross-promotion and fund the trip; but still Jeresa Featherstone was there, I saw her in many BTS pics/videos from when they filmed those episodes. (Can't explain Friday Feb 21 B&B rerun -- why they chose Dec. 12, 2024, unless it relates to a current storyline.) --- This IG video shows Jeresa's BTS for the Eric/Ridge fashion show October 2023 https://www.instagram.com/p/C-3lpTkxlmF/ -- Jeresa Featherstone in Rome May 2023 - when B&B was filming their June 2023 Rome episodes. UPDATES: New details provided by @Errol here: https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/68201-btg-february-2025-discussion-thread/?do=findComment&comment=1994365 Tamara Tunie, Clifton Davis, Karla Mosley, and Daphnée Duplaix will all appear on this Feb. 17, 2025 primetime CBS Black History Month special. When I mentioned the Television Academy (text-based) online interview, I said they mention some non-CBS people in that interview; but the primetime special will be only CBS shows. UPDATE/Clarification: the Academy interview mentions the Wayans family from "In Living Color", which wasn't on CBS; but however, the Wayans will be on the CBS primetime special because they now star in Poppa's House on CBS. .

Not directly related to BeyondTheGates, but relevant to CBS and Black History Month. And ... With Nischelle Turner hosting this CBS special, and her also doing a cameo on BeyondTheGates, *maybe* she'll mention BTG during the special? (speculation only) CBS airing special in primetime Monday Feb. 17, 2025, "On TV: A Black History Month Special" (History of Black TV people on CBS shows) The description reads: "Join Entertainment Tonight co-hosts Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner for an inspiring celebration of Black excellence in television. Stars from beloved series like The Neighborhood, NCIS, and S.W.A.T. share personal stories and reflections, while honoring the trailblazing pioneers who transformed the entertainment landscape. Discover the remarkable journey and enduring impact of Black artists who continue to shape the future of television." Television Academy interviews Nischelle Turner and Kevin Frazier about this special: https://www.televisionacademy.com/features/online-originals/entertainment-tonight-hosts-kevin-frazier-nischelle-turner "ET executive producer Erin Johnson came to us and said they’d like to do a Black History Month special featuring CBS shows and how they impacted history. We were excited about doing something so personal to us." In the Television Academy interview, Nischelle and Kevin discuss their personal histories and also credit various shows and TV personalities from the past. (in this Academy interview they mention also non-CBS shows, but the special will be about CBS shows)

BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
Procter&Gamble posted an inclusivity statement blogpost dated of 1/13/2025 (one week before the inauguration of Tr*mp) P&G refers to "E. and I." (Equality & Inclusion) instead of "DEI" (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) but they indicate the same thing. blog post from P&G "How Inspirational Leaders Ignite Our Purpose: P&G's culture of inclusion fuels our people and innovation." https://us.pg.com/blogs/inspirational-leaders/ The blogpost contains descriptions of four employees who won awards for leadership, and also has within it embedded youtubes of each of the four. The videos are embedded but if it won't run for you, there's a link under each embedding that says "If you’re having issues viewing this video, watch it here." And clicking on "watch it here" will lead you to the separate youtube. They each introduce themselves, and each describes their own visual appearance for the benefit of anyone visually impaired who might be watching/listening. And they give their pronouns. Josette Floyd (African American woman), from Detroit and Cincinnati 34 years of employment at P&G, now in leadership in sales. Vice President of "Innnovative Selling Coverage". She talks about her leadership style and interacting with all her team members. She is part of the P&G Strategic Black Leadership Team. "I've seen the company make a lot of progress in the area of E&I; and in my opinion it's the right strategic business choice for the company -- but I also believe that it's just the right thing for us to do and I'm proud to work for a company that values E. and I." Trevor Hutchinson (man with a walking disability) (global toothpaste department) He talks about the P&G company "disability confidence" initiative for disabled employees to inspire confidence and success and openness. Ranya Shamoon (woman of Arab heritage who lives in Greece and works with P&G Europe baby division) She talks about creating aisles in stores for visually impaired shoppers so that they can more easily pick out the diapers they need. (Maybe it's technology within the diaper packaging maybe, I'm not sure?) Sarah Tickle, white woman, chair of human resources for P&G global home care. She talks about some of the inclusion initiatives that she implemented decades ago. She says how it may have seemed odd thirty years ago, but now this is normal.

Y&R: Old Articles
The announcer character "Clarence" is played by actor Brad Sanders. He also appeared -- newly taped -- WITHIN a Y&R episode on Dec. 27, 2023 as Audra was watching the character Clarence on her laptop doing his "online gossip/news show" talking about Tucker's business dealings. Brad Sanders approached CBS execs to ask to be included in Y&R's 50th anniversary and that's what they arranged.
