  1. I'd love to see that hospital scene when Liz pinned Rachel up against the wall.
  2. I enjoyed it but there was too many people. They should have done just a few people at a time, like Alan Locher does
  3. The clip is mislabeled. It's from 1976. What's unbelievable is that John Clarke didn't even get a nomination for these scenes. Thank you @victoria foxton for posting it on here.
  4. I would have loved to have seen Audra Lindley's Liz in action and Nancy Wickwire's too. Here's an audio clip of Liz ripping poor Susan to shreds about Fred. I'm not sure if Audra and Nancy though. This video also has some audio clips of the famous Rachel/Alice scene before Alice's engagement party and the scenes where Jim tells Mary about Rachel.
  5. I know most soap writers prefer their own characters as opposed to somebody else's but it does seems like there might have been some scheming on his part and on Rauch's part too to diminish the presence of the actors that he wasn't fond of. He was very lucky that he was such a talented writer and had such a talented cast to work with, otherwise with the changes that he made, AW might have been cancelled long before 1999.
  6. I wonder about that too. In the episodes where Walter and Lenore got married, Alice seemed so bubbly and cheerful, like the type of person that you would love to be around. But by the Lemay episodes she seemed so weak and withdrawn. I like to think that that's what Lemay was going for; that Steve's betrayal and the years of torment by Rachel wore Alice down, which IMO makes a lot of sense. But sometimes I wonder about what Lemay's intentions were, especially after every time I read his book.
  7. I'm not sure but you might be right. Was AMC humorous even when it debuted?
  8. I like it, but I can see why some people might not have. I think it was, though I'm not sure, the first soap to inject humor into it's storylines. I will admit though that the first hundred or so episodes are a little rocky. There are quite a few characters that just end up not serving a purpose at all and are ushered out pretty quickly, but I think it really did find it's footing after a little while. I'm up to the June 1986 episodes right now and I really like them.
  9. Tell me about it lol I was almost up to the episode where Thorne found out that he shot Ridge. I'm thankful she's still uploading though even if they do get deleted quickly. That's a great channel and great poster. As for now, I'm gonna binge watch some Santa Barbara.
  10. Guys, I'm afraid we've lost AmySilence. Almost all of her videos have been deleted.
  11. It's listed under Special Updates (Anniversary Updates). You might need to refresh the page too.
  12. Great new updates have just been posted on AWHP
  13. Marianne was re-introduced under King and Soderberg. Browne wrote her miscarriage storyline.
  14. You're right, Thank God lol. I can't stand Mick. Considering that since he came onto the show, I've been referring to him as Kenickie shows how un-invested I am in the character lol. I did like Kristen though, but I am starting to get a little tired of her right now.
  15. Rachel dumped Mac and started dating Mitch Sandy, and Leigh and Denny Hobson were introduced Tracy was killed in a car bombing The mob blew up Cory Publishing Blaine was put on trial for murder Jamie married Cecile but she fell for Sandy, Jamie then became a drug addict. She then got pregnant with Maggie
  16. I guess Anna and Linda live in dead zones when it comes to WiFi. Despite the bad audio, I really enjoyed this one. It was great seeing everybody and I always love when they bring up stories about filming in and commuting to Brooklyn, which allowed the cast to really bond and get to know one another.
  17. Yess!! I’ve been hoping that he would do an AW one!
  18. Sorry to hear that. I love that channel and I hope that she finds a way to keep uploading. I'm about to go watch some episodes right now.
  19. Plus, the actor's contracts may have played a role in that too. Both Victoria Wyndham and Beverlee McKinsey had it written in their contracts that they could only appear in three episodes a week due to the amount of work. As a result, they chose to usually feature the Mac, Rachel and Iris storylines only Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, whereas all the B stories (Angie/Willis/Gwen, Clarice/Larry, etc.) where featured on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  20. Love this song
  21. Lemay said in his book that even though he felt that taking the show to 90 minutes was a mistake, they had already invested too much money in the project and taking it back to 60 minutes would have resulted in great economic loss. But judging by the full 90 minute episodes that are available on YT, they did seem to get a little better over time. There was a lot less padding then there was in the March 6th episode lol Granted, there's only 4 full 90 minute episodes on YT, but I liked them.
  22. Yep AW was definitely in copy GH mode at that time, but the whole mob thing always felt so out of place on this show. And you’re right about King’s new characters. I did like Jerry and Margo, and the Bellmans but the Halloway family lent absolutely nothing to the show. Miranda was an Iris substitute, Kit was just boring and those random Brad and Craig guys, pining after Kit, were annoying. IMO, they never should have killed off Eileen or written out Angie and Rose either. Yeah.
  23. Probably Mac and Rachel would have gotten back together and Mac never would have married Janice. One thing’s for sure is that the whole Harry Must Die storyline most likely would not have happened. On the bright side, that probably would have also meant no Mitch lol
  24. That might’ve worked but the big mystery is that would Lemay and King have been able change their style and adhere to that action/adventure, youth oriented type of storytelling? In his book, Lemay even said he didn’t like writing for the younger actors and characters except for Ray Liotta’s Joey. Lemay also said he wanted Tom King to succeed him but he criticized a lot of things that Tom King had written. He didn’t like that Mac and Rachel were divorced and that Mac took Amanda from Rachel and gave her to Janice, he didn’t like the Kirk Laverty murder mystery and he hated that Janice tried to poison Mac. It was too melodramatic for him apparently.
  25. It was like all the problems seemed to pile on Lemay all at once in his final years on AW, both personal and professional. In retrospect, people behind the scenes and Lemay himself probably were thinking that it was time for him to go.
