  1. You're welcome, Joey 😂😂 I'll be eligible in a couple of weeks, so I'm glad to know that there aren't that many side effects
  2. Well... I'm looking forward to this lol
  3. Happy to hear that! Are you having any side effects so far?
  4. Is anyone familiar with his acting?
  5. This is all so interesting! Thank you @JAS0N47 and @j swift for the articles! So had Pat Falken Smith stayed at Days a little longer, Bill and Laura would have been brought back, Stefano would have been obsessed with Julie and not Marlena, and according to a script that Jason47 posted on his amazing Days site, there most likely would have been other Dimera brothers introduced along with Tony. As much as I like all the stuff that DePriest, Anderson, etc. wrote, I would've liked to have seen some more of PFS's work too.
  6. I heard the reason she left was due to problems stemming from the lawsuit she brought against the show when she first left in 1977
  7. According to Wikipedia, his first soap writing credit was Capitol
  8. Yeah, that's why I hate that "We ran out of story" excuse to justify writing out a character. If you write a big story in order to write a character out, then there's definitely more story left for that character. I could see Linda picking herself up and getting back into Anderson, following Bob's death. Throwing Stephanie/Brooke into it would have been a lot better then killing her off. They could have done a Chris/Mary vs Alex/Stephanie/Linda for control of Anderson.
  9. I'm guessing that was due to Quinn Redeker's popularity with the audience. They couldn't really have done much with the character if he was an all around bad guy. Getting back to writer changes, I wonder if it was possible that Alex was on track to be redeemed and end up as one of the show's romantic leads until an incoming writer made him a scoundrel again. And yeah, it had to have been Al Rabin pulling the strings back then. I'm guessing at least Linda would've stuck around had it not happened, perhaps even gotten involved with Bill while Laura was institutionalized.
  10. Yeah, interference from the suits was another problem too. Judging by those awesome recaps of yours, it's clear that Cathy the intern was supposed to Marie's daughter under Harrower but when the actress was fired, the story was rewritten to have Jessica be the daughter. A Kellam/Julie/Doug/Lee quad would have been interesting but at the same time, Julie would've had to be written pretty stupidly in order to take up with Kellam lol even worse then she was burned and pushed everybody away out of fear of their pity.
  11. Absolutely. That's why I made that thread a while back about what writers were going to do had they not left or been fired. In terms of Days, from what I've read and seen, it sounds like in some cases, storylines would have been better if the head writer that had started them had stayed on
  12. Well, if PFS had stayed, we could assume that there would have been no masks lol and a lot of internal psychological conflict between Stefano/Julie/Doug. It was similar to what happened back in 1980. Kellam was obsessed with Julie, but then when Gary Tomlin and Michele Poteet Lisanti came in, his obsession switched to Marlena
  13. Now that I think about it, I have no idea lol I'll have to go back and look. And yeah, he did own Shenanigans, I guess, after Anderson was phased out
  14. What ever happened to Anderson? Did the company just suddenly stop being mentioned or did Stefano or somebody get their hands on it? He developed a solar generator
  15. That storyline went ultimately nowhere either. I just checked the dates on AWHP. Nikolai came on April 1 and left May 14.
  16. I don't think so. IIRC, munecojim had uploaded pretty much all of June-December 1986. Those 1982 episodes are new though
  17. She was a playwright, so it's possible Rauch was trying to recreate the same magic that he had with Lemay, but it ended up being a mess. From what I've read and seen, it seemed she had no sense of pacing or characterization. Pete and Diana were madly in love and were planning to get married only two months after they met, Bob and Quinn were having an affair just weeks after they met, Rachel and the Russian artist, the lady that replaced Pat at Brava. It's like everything was over before it even began. There was no time for fans to invest in all these characters and they tuned out. I honestly don't blame them lol But as I watch these episodes, I do have to admit Jacker really did seem to have a good handle on the Blaine/Sandy/Cecile triangle.
  18. Wow, this is great! Thanks for posting @watson71. It's always great when a "new" episode gets found. Not only did the show go overboard with new characters in 1982, it also did seem to be take a much darker turn, even darker than the year before. It'll probably forever be an unsolved mystery, but I'd love to know what Corinne Jacker and Paul Rauch thought they were doing, or tried to do with this year. I know Jacker was quoted in saying that she hated her time on AW, but my question is why did she hate it? I also find it interesting how Loretta was killed in the middle of an episode instead of at the end.
  19. Well... I guess I do need to get back to the doctor's office lol
  20. Yes 😂
  21. Not often, but I saw a word that I liked 😂😂
  22. All this talk of hunky male nurses in the Covid thread... 😍😂
  23. You never know, somebody may get the idea someday 😂
