  1. No need to apologize. We’re all free to like or dislike what we want.
  2. So you don’t like any story where bad things happen to good people? Good luck enjoying fiction in general, then.
  3. I don’t think it was “crap”. It was an entertaining story and Spike was clearly portrayed as the bad guy. Unlike other soaps, you weren’t meant to root for them romantically. My problem with the story was that Danica played it, and she sucked. Jade was the best Jessica.
  4. Oh I don’t care about Danica. I don’t think that makes her “weak”, though. I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with being “weak”.
  5. I liked all the recasts except for Natalie Zea and Deanna Wright.
  6. They never recast anyone important, and many of the recasts were great (Heidi Mueller, Blair Redford, Andrea Evans, Cathy Janeen Doe, Jade Harlow, Eric Martsolf, etc).
  7. I don’t agree, but I guess it doesn’t matter. I got what I wanted from Passions, and it remains my favorite television program (not just soap opera) of all time. I just clicked with JER. We clearly rode the same creative wavelength.
  8. Nothing you listed was problematic for me. Vincent giving birth to his own father’s baby was entertainment GOLD! Now that’s why I watch soaps!! I’m not sure what you’re trying to say. Passions was always entertaining, and stretching things out was part of the fun. Passions was JER’s pure wild imagination unleashed, especially on DirecTV where he didn’t have to deal with standards and practices. Eve stitching Julian’s penis on upside down and backwards remains one of my single most favorite tv moments of all time. Also, Vincent was a hermaphrodite, and last I checked, they are not part of the LGBTQ+ acronym. Besides, I don’t think lgbt characters should be forbidden from being villains. For example, Days’ best gay character is Leo, who is way more edgy and interesting than the puritanical Will, Sonny, and Paul. Vincent as the he/she blackmailer complete with the amazing costume was like heroin for me. Loved it! No one’s imagination should ever be reined in, even if it’ll offend people.
  9. There wasn’t any bigotry on Passions, lol The black, Hispanic, and Wiccan families were major players on the show.
  10. I would love to see a Passions revival for its 20th, but I don’t know who could write it as well as the late, great, genius Jim Reilly.
  11. Two of the backers contributed $5000 each! Daaaaamn!!!
  12. I’m so glad I won’t have to suffer through him on the Veronica Mars revival. I’ve never understood the love for this guy. Considering how good Chris Engen was, I always saw MM as an inferior recast. Chris’ Adam and Vail’s Heather were the last younger couple I’ve shipped.
  13. That was Cutter??? No wonder I disliked him. Days needs to sign LKC. Time to bring her back home to Y&R. Lauren still has no idea she’s alive.
  14. Wish I had known sooner. I would’ve backed it. Nice to hear there’s an anniversary magazine in the works too.
  15. My friend went to the fan event in 2017. I’m still jealous.
