  1. Oh, I think she's very much done for the foreseeable future. Haley Pullos and Tyler both got turfed and recast once they got in serious public hot water.
  2. Yeah, that I think is part of the good news. Kirsten has always spun a story about her absences and while I'm sure some of her other health issues are real, too many outlets and fans have eagerly lapped it up (including this latest paranoid computer nonsense). That's over.
  3. tbqh I think she was following Barash and the kid.
  4. And what's wild is that when Frank Valentini arrived Kirsten had already been gone on one of her earliest extended breaks for either a year or close to it. Jen Lilley was there (and getting heat from both fans and Kirsten herself online) doing the job and doing a decent one IMO. Allegedly he asked people then if he should just recast. But he stuck it out and has been very, very loyal to Kirsten. He's seen a lot of GH stars through serious health or personal troubles and I do respect that. But in the end (even before she seemingly recouped well in 2024 for too short a period) I haven't felt it was the right thing to do for KS for a long time. But none of us are on the inside or know the real deal, so who knows.
  5. Yeah. Anyone familiar with KS knows she's always had stories to excuse other well-known troubles. Going back decades. It's not a trade secret. And as you mentioned her latest drama always sounded like paranoid delusion to me, and her substance issues are AFAIK not new. I hope she finally gets real, lasting help, and if she ever does and sticks to it I'd welcome her back to the show. Just as I would've loved to do for Tyler Christopher. But as for GH it's time to write Maxie out, and if necessary down the line recast. I think GH has been holding Kirsten up for years, possibly out of fear of what might happen to her without the job, and in the end I'm not sure how good it has been for her. The only silver lining is she can no longer spin up some story this time about bad acne cream or whatever else.
  6. I'd love to say I'm shocked. I'm not.
  7. Yeah, I think a year ago he might've tried. Not now. He knows Gio/Emma have caught fire and he knows Eden's latest story has failed, for her at least (he's still seemingly all in on Sidwell and Cassius, etc.). Obviously I agree with you about threading them into major story. The scenes Braedyn had with Finola last were intense and heartbreaking, and should've been the start of Emma making it her mission in life to find out the truth. And I do think his taping schedule is often a real chink in the armor at this show that consistently mismanages the pace and focus, and prioritizes first the stories and actors he prefers.
  8. It flopped just like the whole larger storyline for her. Joss got a lot less airtime late last year/early this one, or so it seemed. That's when I first began to wonder if Eden was long for the show. It's also when they began ramping up Gio/Emma and accepting the popular fan response to it. Now Joss is back in story (with no romance), but Gio and Emma are also getting a bit more. What Gio and Emma need is to be heavy and active in important story of their own, and right now they're not. It's fluff - good for fans who like them, but not integral. That I think is down to FV's vaunted taping schedule as well as his priorities and preferences. I don't see any sign that he is angling to try Joss with Gio, or we'd see many more hints of it onscreen. I think they're winging it at best with Joss at this point, having acknowledged the reality of her latest failed romance and story. But I think they're still struggling to mix in FV's interests with what the audience wants (more Gio and Emma). There's no reason the two kids shouldn't be hunting down the truth about Anna or something. All the stuff they've given BB with or about Finola is gold. Or give them something entirely new of their own.
  9. I don't think it's totally different tbh. Frank slow-walked Gio and Emma for over a year to the point that the actors had to inject stuff onscreen in physical blocking because he was much more fixated on Joss' latest story and the Sidwell saga for many months. Even now, though the situation has improved Gio and Emma are still not getting the kind of heavy, heavy rotation they could and would in the Guza era. They should be leading much bigger story than these little larks.
  10. Those two are gold together and separate, and the show needs to hold onto them for as long as possible (and give them bigger and better story).
  11. I don't think they are ever going to undo Eva and Kat being sisters.
  12. I don't think it will do anything for Trump's current problems. Charlie Kirk didn't.
  13. Weijia Jiang, Maggie Haberman, Jake Tapper, Politico, Puck, etc. in shambles: The Masque of the Red Death is cancelled.
  14. I think it is likely to get shut down after all, despite Trump and Weijia Jiang's best hopes for her beloved nerd prom. Like, I'm glad no uh, innocent victims are dead. But am I sorry their favorite night of the year is ruined and disgraced? That it has been wrecked just like everything else they've ignored and downplayed in this country? Not at all. This is the ultimate insult to these people. I'm glad.
  15. Weijia Jiang, a stooge like all the other recent WHCA heads, has announced 'the show will go on' though multiple prominent journalists (including Wolf Blitzer) have confirmed there was indeed a shooter. Shades of them all cozying up to J6-loving Republicans despite many of these journalists being inside the Capitol during the insurrection. An unbelievable disgrace. But the Beltway press live for this night.
  16. In case you thought the White House Correspondents' Dinner couldn't be more of a disgrace this year, there appears to have been an active shooter crashing the party who was either apprehended or shot and killed. This being the Beltway press, they appear to plan to continue the already cursed evening with their special guest: Trump.
  17. Karen Malina White and Ajai Sanders are also back. I really liked Gina!
  18. Why are all the DAYS promos seemingly full of dead air and clips awkwardly kludged together? It feels like an amateur editor's attempt at a YouTube fan trailer.
  19. I think a revived/rebooted Passions with actual half-decent writing and characters that approach something near quantifiable human intellect could actually do very well. People in various demographics remember the show fondly for its crazy nonsense. Clips of it still do numbers on social media. JER had long since ceased caring about writing for anything but his own amusement, religious trauma and fetishes by the time he started the show. But a real team willing to write for viable characters with brains could do well. I know some talented people worked on that show, like McPherson/Thomas, who later went on to much better work elsewhere particularly at AMC 2.0. (IIRC they were also handpicked as Reilly's successors at PSSNS, which did not happen)
  20. That is my suspicion on both counts. It's time to write Maxie and Spinelli out with annoying little James (he's cute but can't really act, I don't care). Or let him stay along with recast Georgie staying with Grandpa Mac and Grandma Felicia. I guess that big wedding I wanted for Spixie to give them an exit is off the table for now lol. Recast Kirsten down the road if you must, but this can't continue IMO.
  21. I absolutely don't think we're supposed to see her like that. Vanessa started out as a tragic, troubled comedic character and has morphed (well before the writing change) into a delusional woman who's been plunged into a dark world on a power trip who is pursuing an obsessive, doomed romance with a bad man she doesn't know murdered her husband. Every day she rhapsodizes about how good Joey is for her, the writers are driving the nails deeper. Intentionally. I think she's a gray character who is making a tragic fool of herself, but that's part of the drama for me. I do not think she is being presented as a positive heroine. That's not the show I'm watching, so I've never had issues with Vanessa or LB's performance. I think Vanessa's stories and dysfunctional character arc has been one of the few consistently and intelligently layered and nuanced since Day 1, and I think Bugliogi is killing it. I've been saying that for over a year. That's JMO, I don't need everyone to agree. The things that enrage people about Vanessa are just features of her storyline to me. I get why they make people angry. She's a delulu person!
  22. And I love it!
  23. 'Unusual' is the polite word for her ongoing dramas. Kirsten's stories have changed but the stories about her have been the same for 20 years. I just hope she eventually finds some real help and peace. But I'm tired of her antics affecting the show.
  24. In real life soap news, Kirsten Storms is now apparently being evicted from her new home plagued by magical thieves and hackers. No comment.
  25. They definitely should show more of the actual storyline. Bill should be running against him.
