  1. Heck, some may even argue that DALLAS was a timeslot hit due to its lead-in, the immensely popular DUKES OF HAZZARD!! (All three shows were produced by Lorimar.) It's kind of funny to think that FC was created by the same guy who created THE WALTONS!!! I was just a kid at the time but vividly remember watching the Dukes on Fridays with my folks, who would also stay watching the Ewings and their counterparts over at FC. I have one vivid memory of FC as it aired: Emma standing on the ledge of the house, dressed in a white gown and blond hair whipping all around (due to the wind), threatening to jump. Does anyone else remember this? Why did she want to jump? Who finally convinced her not to?
  2. "In This Life", from Bette Midler's 1995 release, Bette of Roses. I ended up buying a (used) copy of the CD after the AW finale aired just so I could have that song!!
  3. Dear lord, NO!!!! I saw it in the theater with a very good friend of mine, and neither of us were/are prudes, but it was too much for me. I walked out - the only movie I have ever walked out of!!!
  4. I'm so glad that after they got the Neanderthal husband's statement, he wasn't seen in the rest of the episode. I guess further dealings with him were all off-screen. Thank goodness!!
  5. You could definitely tell while watching his scenes. Totally not into it.
  6. I think you mean Bryan White. Bryan Adams - totally different guy, but I can see how easy it is to get them mixed up.
  7. Yup, and his future (now former) father-in-law was on DAYS at the same time.
  8. Speaking of Doreen, Jonelle Allen was a guest star in the second season of Barney Miller, where she played one of two female beat cops in trouble for throwing the detective's drug bust off track. It's hilarious when she starts sobbing into Inspector Luger's arms, wailing, "We don't want to go to Staten Island!!!!" LOL!!
  9. Thanks to all of you for the clarification!!
  10. I know that Marcy was already back on AMC by the time Roscoe Born showed up on that soap. They were in different storylines, does anyone know if their characters ever crossed paths?
  11. Alas, we'll never know. That's why I can't blame the first couple of actors completely for not making the part work. The show had to fill the spot as LB became ill at just about the same time filming was to begin, so it's no wonder the acting was so uneven.
  12. I'll have to check that out. Sounds great. LOL
  13. This may have been the best episode this season. The actress playing Jenny was perfect, and a flawless mix of fragility and strength.
  14. Did anyone see the entire ep tonight? I missed the last couple of minutes, as my DVR cut out. Thanks!!
  15. Any soap that uses The Cure deserves points just for even thinking about it!! I mean, soap opera = The Cure, right? I love it!!!
  16. I love that title. That's awesome.
  17. Gotta love Dee Hall's helmet hair. Ahhh, those glamorous 80s...
  18. Not to mention the BEST C.C.!!!
  19. Robert Barr (Roscoe Born), that's who you're thinking of.
  20. Very well-done episode. I liked that the cast went back to Chicago and elaborated on their scenes at the actual locales where they were filmed.
