P&G has long had some of the longest standing and most liberal policies for its LGBTQIA+ employees in corporate America. That’s often been a source of conservative bigots and political groups calling for boycotts of their products as well. Those why try to claim otherwise are severely misinformed and have another agenda going on.

ARTICLE: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Splashes In Debut, ‘The Young and the Restless’ & ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Hit Season Highs Among Key Demos
At one point, Y&R and B&B were supposed to move to a new studio. That was put on pause, but I wonder for how much longer? CBS no longer owns Television City. The Price Is Right moved out in 2023.

DAYS/GH/PC: Martin 'Marty' Davich has passed away
I always wondered the story behind why he left DAYS. Did he not get along with Tom Lagan? When Shelley Curtis returned to GH, she brought him with her.

DAYS/GH/PC: Martin 'Marty' Davich has passed away
RIP. DAYS never had good background music again after he left, IMO. His GH background music was also great. When he started composing for ER, I immediately knew it. This, in particular, still stands out and makes me want to cry uncontrollably: I first discovered his work on GH before viewing the classic DAYS episodes on YouTube. These themes are seared in my brain from GH in the 90’s. Sonny and Brenda’s theme is also a big highlight for me: Carly’s theme: Stone’s death theme:

Yeah, the actors have all said the first month or two of production was a bit rough and there was a lot of growing pains. Most of their crew has never done daytime soaps before, and in particular, their camera crew and editor was totally new to this way of working. Karla Mosley said a woman had to come out of retirement to train the camera crew how to shoot for soaps in the first month. That and their lighting equipment wasn’t ready during the first week of production. Tamara Tunie said a lot of the kinks have since been worked out, so I think the production consistency should gradually get better over the next few weeks/month.- BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread

Given the audience skewed younger and more multicultural, it’s safe to say a bunch of folks who don’t typically watch daytime tuned in for the premiere week. That’s encouraging - let’s hope they stick around.- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos

Credit to @te. for posting this in the BTG chain. From The Hollywood Reporter: TV Ratings: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Has Promising Start for CBS (Exclusive) I think this part is key as the show was developed with Black viewers in mind so the demographics they’re looking at might be very different from the other soaps: “More than half of the Beyond the Gates audience — 55 percent — for its premiere week was made up of Black viewers. That compares to 30 percent for CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful, 29 percent for The Young and the Restless and 22 percent for General Hospital.”- BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
- ALL: With BTG garnering so much attention, should the other networks jump on board the Daytime Train
Let’s also remember that CBS isn’t paying the entire production bill for BTG. P&G and the NAACP are also chipping in. This probably made it easier for CBS to green light the show. This type of partnership does add more cooks in the kitchen, but I think it’s a solid way to manage costs. It would be great if ABC went to P&G or another company to see if they can produce a similar partnership for daytime soap development. - BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread
