  1. Sara, most of all, is probably the angriest. This reboot was her baby, and she worked hard to get Roseanne to tone it down to not deter from the show.
  2. I also have a feeling much of he cast would probably never do it without her (regardless if they agree with her comments or not).
  3. I suppose it's for the best, but ABC knew exactly what they were getting into with Roseanne Barr, so they should have known something would blow up...
  4. Inside Roseanne’s Triumphant Return to TV - ABC snatched the revival away from Netflix and landed its first No. 1 series in 24 years
  5. He was a lot more than just a simple Scriptwriter too, as Curlee/Demoest allowed him to contribute to long-term story. He loved working with them, and has described the period after Curlee stopped working on GL as hellish in the past.
  6. Who the f.uck cares anymore? Talk about running something into the ground.
  7. Who is Scott Mitchell? Barbara Windsor’s husband who revealed the EastEnders star’s Alzheimer’s
  8. I liked Gail's speech, and the way it was produced is unique for British soaps. That said, I generally still find the show soul-less despite some decent performances. The rot started years before, but Kate Oates has totally killed the spirit of this show.
  9. I can imagine that last stint was very hard for her - she wasn't just saying goodbye to Peggy and EE, she probably also realized she was saying goodbye to other aspects of her life in general at the same time. She's always been a class act and always respected the fans of the show.
  10. Sad EastEnders star Barbara Windsor diagnosed with Alzheimer's
  11. Finally justice is served to that creep.
  12. Something definitely happened backstage, her departure seems sudden, like that of Sean O'Connor's last year at EastEnders. I don't understand why ITV as always sees Emmerdale as the training ground for the next EP of Corrie.
  13. Yes, Roseanne Is Now the No. 1 Show on TV
  14. Yeah, they had to pack a lot in since they only had Johnny back for one episode.
  15. Probably not - they're only referencing Kat's time in Spain and not Ireland. Speaking of the Slater's, it's kind of hilarious that they have no idea what to do with Whitney and Tiffany, and have made them Slater's by extension. I still don't know why Whitney is still on this show, and there is no reason for Tiffany to be back at all...
  16. Strangely, Mel doesn't annoy me as much as she sometimes did in her first stint. Maybe because they're writing her as more of a hard character this time around, which plays more to Tamzin and the character's strengths. I will also say, Yorke seems to have given Kat back her sense of humour - that was a vital part of the character and was missing in the last stint (especially all the misery DTC reaped on the character). The Slater set-up is a bit ridiculous, and I wonder why Yorke even bothered with bringing Jean and Big Mo back. He hasn't given Kat anything substantial to do yet either, but I sense he's taking his time to re-establish her somehow and hopefully move her forward from her last stint - she is his definitive character after all.
  17. Felicia Minei Behr hired quite a few actors on AMC that she worked with on Ryan's Hope, didn't she?
  18. It may be an unpopular opinion, but I find Wisner Washam's AMC vastly superior to Nixon's (yes, I know he's her protege) and everyone else that came after him...
  19. Brief scene, but Charlie's first appearance as Janine. I didn't realize it was this early in '99 (I thought it was at the end of that year for some reason).
  20. I though the point of of that joke was to say we're all more alike that different, and obviously a wink to the rest of the ABC lineup. People definitely get offended easily these days, and Roseanne makes herself an easy target. I think it's stuff like that which really pisses her off too, she's talked at length about how comedy has to be overly sanitized now because everyone is politically correct and gets offended easily. Mind you, not that she goes about it in the most graceful ways at times, but she does have a point.
