  1. ICYMI: The last jobs report had to be revised DOWNWARD by about half a million jobs. So, how are those vaunted Trump tax cuts working out?😏
  2. Apparently Puig had moved to Chicago to be nearer to Murray's training academy facility.
  3. If non-migrant children start dying, I'm not sure that this will provide enough of an explanation. The question will be why/how did the U.S. let this happen when they obviously had the tools to stop it? With the way this nutty administration works, it's likely that a few workers at the detention center could refuse vaccination and become carriers themselves (even if they never exhibit symptoms). That would be a recipe for a flu outbreak.
  4. Looks like Sloane is back with Kamau Murray. Don't know what this means for Monica Puig though.
  5. Like I said in the post on the previous page, people shouldn't be lulled into a false sense of security that the flu or any disease will remain contained within those detainment camps. Disease inevitably finds its way out, into the general population.
  6. It's as if Sascha Baron-Cohen were writing an extended skit!
  7. I mean, every now and then you can find a gem (if you're willing to sit through 2,000 commercials) but the time you waste sifting through all the detritus is worse than any Netflix queue!
  8. Who the hell still watches Dancing With the Stars??! Or Dancing With The "Star", as Whoopi Goldberg used to refer to it. Meanwhile there's an inept madman in the White House who refers to himself as King of Israel and Jesus Christ Superstar after backing out of an international visit with Denmark because he was rejected in a bid to buy Greenland.
  9. So, in Trump's quest to undue the Obama era regulations, he didn't foresee that California and several automakers would thwart his plans with even tougher regulations. Ha!
  10. You don't know from terrible until you've gone through the list on the Roku Channel, lol.
  11. I'm starting to wonder if maybe he's part of the reason why there are no DVD Collections or online streaming of episodes of Head Of The Class.
  12. What a stupid decision by the government. This is not just to protect the detained migrant population but also the larger population who could contract the flu. These centers are not hermetically sealed, it only takes one un-vaccinated worker or guest to "carry" the virus to the outside population. Also, the basic premise of having sick incarcerated children and adults suffering and possibly dying of the flu is just inhumane.
  13. For all the justifiable criticism that The New York Times gets, this 1619 project is definitely representative of the best of what The NYT could be.
  14. From what I've read, Twitter actually alerted Facebook that this was happening.
  15. Very sad news for Amanda Anisimova.
  16. Susan Sarandon was getting heaps of derision in regards to her comments (which I read, didn't watch the video) last night on social media. I didn't bother to post anything, because at this point, I really wish people would ignore Sarandon, who is obviously unnerved by yet another woman running for president that she thinks is getting in Sanders' way. For all intents an purposes, Warren is now considered (and has been, for years) a bona fide Democrat, something Sanders is still not regarded as by the majority of Democratic voters. Hopefully Sanders will remain mired in fourth or fifth place (sixth place would be even better) so the idea that somehow he's the best of what the Democratic party has to offer would finally and definitely be put to rest for good. I just wish that people would stop giving oxygen to Sarandon's foolishness.
  17. ^^I hope that this police officer, excuse me former police officer gets the same treatment as the police officer in the Anthony Baez case. That officer was fired and eventually tried after initially being found not guilty but that was after the feds came in and re-tried the case. In the Garner case, in order for there to be a similar outcome, there would definitely have to be a new administration in the White House.
  18. Believe or not, Johanna Konta used to be a brand ambassador for EleVEN. 😅 Alexandra Dulgheru was one of the players who publicly thanked Venus recently for supplying her with clothing when she didn't have a sponsor but Venus has done that for others over the years. Vicki Duval used to wear EleVEN (and may still be wearing it). One of the Rodionova sisters used to wear EleVEN and Ula Radwanska (Aga's younger sister) thanked Venus for making her a brand ambassador recently. Jarmila Gajdosova, who's now retired was once a brand ambassador. There are probably others that I've forgotten.
  19. I read about that too. There's some confusion as to how much of a role Venus played in this but it wouldn't be unusual since a number of years ago, she intervened in a situation for an Israeli player who was denied entry to a tournament in the UAE, even though the player, Shahar Peer was ranked high enough for direct entry (presumably for political reasons) to help the player get access to the tournament's main draw the following year. Venus has engendered a lot of goodwill over the years, and much of this she has done very quietly, with few people knowing (she has donated tennis clothes to players without clothing contracts, some she has made brand ambassadors while others, little known journey-woman players, she has simply given them EleVEN tennis and workout clothing). Now that I think about it, I slightly recall that Peer's issue (with the UAE) may have been a visa issue as well, but I'm not sure.
  20. Even the NYT can still publish deeply affecting pieces. This is one of them. I read this on MSN.com's news site though but for some reason, MSN doesn't tweet out these links but in case you don't want to give the NYT site their click(s), there is also a direct link to the MSN website. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/women-are-fleeing-death-at-home-the-us-wants-to-keep-them-out/ar-AAFYiFg
  21. Okay, I finally watched the clip and Whoa, he is definitely Drunk! 🍸😮
  22. I don't bother with MTP but a lot of people on social media seem to be suggesting that Larry Kudlow is inebriated (or high?) during his interview. Not sure whether they mean it literally (as opposed to meaning that his ideas are outrageous) and I just don't care enough to watch in order to find out.
  23. Svetlana went from struggling to get a visa into the country to finalist and contender for the title in Cincy. Great for her. These interviews between Prakash and Venus were very popular on social media and did absolutely nothing to quell speculation that there was some flirtatious undertones going on, lol.
