  1. And all the Susie Sarandons and democracy dilettantes are now howling for the courts to be expanded and I would like to know what reality are these fools living in? There was a solution that would most likely have prevented all of this in 2016 but folks wanted to “fück around and find out”. Well, sadly, we’re finding out now, aren’t we?
  2. Well damn, there are already reports emerging that SCOTUS has voted to overturn Roe v Wade (on a draft). This day.
  3. 1989 seemed to be the year this show was intent on making damn near everyone look sleazy. The writing of the female characters is so reductive, I am not sure how people found this acceptable even back then. Pretty much every woman except for Stephanie and Sally are written to look as desperate as humanly possible. And you can tell Kristen won’t be long for the canvas. They have decided to give her the worst, least dignified dialogue of anyone, and with some of these female characters who are beyond desperate, that’s saying a whole lot. Were they mad at Teri Ann Linn for leaving or something? Are there any interviews with Teri Ann where she talks about her time on the show or when/how she leaves? I would be interested in hearing how her exit came about and how she felt about it. ‘The writing seems as if they just wanted Kristen off the canvas for the foreseeable future. By the way, I also think Dr. Moncrieff was a prototype for Dr. Taylor Hayes.
  4. HRC is at the Met Gala and she looks very pretty. There is BTS video of how her dress was made and the significance of certain details like the embroidery. I am not sure how closely it hews to the theme but who cares? She looks fabulous.
  5. Venus is at the Met Gala but she looks like she may dip early. After the awards season, she seems to want to play things a bit casual. Serena’s not there. People are complaining that almost no one is sticking to the “theme”, but who cares? Lol.
  6. Ah. Thanks for the clarification. A teeny bit before my viewing time.
  7. I am not clear on whether Vanessa and Ross’ brief rekindled relationship ever overlapped with Trish and Ross’ romance though.
  8. I don’t think so. Ross and Vanessa had a child together (Dinah) but I don’t remember them ever getting married.
  9. Wasn’t that Trish Lewis, Josh and Billy Lewis’ sister? I think I began watching GL at the end of her run.
  10. Michael Tylo, Lisa Brown and now Jerry Ver Dorn. This is so sad.
  11. As glamorous as Naomi Judd appeared, she had some rough times. The Judds seemed strong and vulnerable, glamorous and homespun, not letting struggles define them but we all know that those struggles followed them, even with all those incredible success. It’s just sad, to reflect on the passing of these icons and entertainers, so many have been there on your screens, on your radios, from your youngest years, through adolescence into adulthood. Some of whom, you knew time was limited, others like Naomi Judd, you thought you would have more years to see what new projects they emerge with. Too soon gone. R.I.P.
  12. A messy situation, allowing Patrick in his daughter’s box and now that he’s coaching Simona, it’s likely to play some head games with Coco, who seems to have a tough time holding serve under pressure.
  13. It seems like whoever wrote the Wikipedia page of John F. Smith sure didn’t like him very much. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Smith
  14. CBS Mornings, the show that Gayle co-hosts did a profile piece on Dunnigan and Payne and it was pretty good. They spoke to relatives who helped to tell their stories.
  15. TBH, I wasn’t in the mood to watch the WHCD last night but perhaps I might watch the replay (or not) today?
  16. Hm, I seem to recall mentioning this as a distinct possibility in the wake of Brexit. It will be interesting to see if this will really come to pass.
  17. Oh, I didn’t know about the luck aspect, that makes sense. Still…😂
  18. 😳😂 Why would your mom call her that, when Craig was the one that burned that shack down? He has. Those creepy gnomes in the background, I could do without though.
  19. Robert Downey Jr. was once quoted as saying that he felt that prison had saved his life. He had to attend therapy sessions, including group therapy, and it helped him. Jail is not rehabilitative for a lot of people but RDJ clearly figured out a way to make effective use of his time in there.
  20. I understand the urgency. It’s just a shame that there doesn’t seem to be any urgency in remedying the fact that the child tax credit lapsed and now the gains have essentially been lost, with a significant number of children slipping back into poverty or in danger of doing so.
  21. Since Y&R didn’t really do anything with either character, I think the show should have at least tried to see if Anna Hamilton and Ravi Shapur had any romantic chemistry. I will never understand why B&B never gave Storm Logan a serious romantic pairing. Then again, until Clarke Garrison came along, it seemed as though no men other than Forrester men got any romantic pairings. Ethan Wayne had great chemistry with a number of female leads, from Joanna Johnson to Teri Ann Linn to Lauren Koslow. The show should have picked one, even briefly.
  22. ^^ and Caso is in the NYC tri-state area so he’s pretty close geographically to Locher, who’s in Jersey.
  23. Ann Sward also seemed to have gotten considerable storyline under Marland’s pen, at a time when daytime soaps seemed more preoccupied with youth centered storylines. Sad, but it seems like they were waiting for Marland to pass away before booting and/or marginalizing those characters. Surprised that in all these reunions, no one has reached out to Caso to talk about his time at the helm.
