  1. Your last two episodes have been very balanced.  Writing Agnes Nixon would love lol  I LAUGHED, (almost CRIED), and now we have to WAIT..

LAUGHS - Henry and Barbara's bedroom.  Carrots and ranch.  They were funny and light hearted..

ALMOST CRIED - Marcino's concern for his soon to be boyfriend is touching, but Greg fears for his life.

WAIT- JJ and Miranda seem to be a couple that you are wanting us to root for, but as long as Eliza is around, they are always gonna have trouble and misunderstandings.  Will they get together?  And Greg is going to UNION CREEK.  Why there?  We are just gonna have to WAIT and see.

    GREAT EPISODE

  2. Very balanced episode...Gentle, Dark, and Deep

GENTLE - Terrence and Natalia's interaction was simple, natural and maybe the start of something nice between them.  Partners on the force perhaps.  Hopefully she's not looking for another Brot.

GENTLE - The shelter scenes were also gentle and a great lead in to the DARK...

DARK - Vin is out for blood.  Very unstable young man.  I hope he doesn't seriously hurt someone (which I think he will)

DARK - I knew Paul was into something illegal with Katsu.  Some money laundering or drugs or something.  I hope Paul doesn't get in over his head.  There will be nothing his little brother Eric will be able to do to help him LOL

DEEP - My NEW favorite couple of JP, Greg and Marcino.  There is something about these types of interactions between men fighting their feelings for each other that's very STRONG and deeper than that of a man and a woman going through the same thing.  Their scenes really packed a punch...

    GREAT EPISODE!!

  3. Todd and the mysterious document.  I'm starting to think Ben and Gary already know about it, and that Ben is the head of whatever snake is in town conducting shady business.

Lily  notices Marah's lust toward Malik.  I wonder when Dani's gonna figure in.  Nice triangle you're setting up there.

Is Holden about to take a job he knows nothing about?  And nice casting with Mason Capwell, I mean Lane Davies LOL

Nice humor with Todd asking Jack to get him coffee.  You are very in tune with Todd Manning's character.  You are writing things that he totally would say.

    GOOD EPISODE

  4. Lots going on here.

Teen party antics...Rourke with the weed.   Who's Camella?

I am starting to wonder if Edmund Winslow is behind the attempt on Reva's life.  He has threatened to kill her before.  Maybe Edmund has something to do with where Jack has been all this time.

And another step in my favorite story, Eartha/Elijah/Morris.  It's just a matter of time when Eartha acts on her feelings toward Elijah.  It's a ticking powder keg.

Very focused and pointed episode...good read

  5. Great episode once again!!!  You knocked it out the park!!

Valerie and Marlena continue from the last episode, and Marlena's reactions were real and sensible.  Valerie dug right in and asked the tough questions.  NOW Marlena should ask where VALERIE's been and what she's been doing all these years.  Before we get to Valerie's past, she THINKS she sees Chris Kositchek...

You are setting up Eric/Nicole/Noelle triangle.  Very believable.  I could see Nicole's private reaction to Eric and Noelle's interaction.  This also will be interesting.

Jerome, Sheryl and Jordan are about to hack into Titan's servers and download all of the Enernext info.  "There are always holes in firewalls."  says Jerome.  GOOD twist to add him to this storyline.  Something tells me, though, that they will hit a snag.

I'm GLAD Kim stood her ground vs Daniel Jonas and his unnecessary involvement in this conflict between Kim and Billie over Theresa.  Makes the story more interesting, especially if Kim thinks Daniel helped Billie to get in to see Theresa.

I notice a quicker pace to your storytelling and it does NOT take away the impact of the stories.  Keep it coming!!!

  6. As always, you bring the house...and you didn't disappoint this time.

The confilct between Billie and Kim is growing exponentially it seems, and Dr. Daniel is in the middle of it.  Nice that you reiterated Kim's determination to keep Billie away from a comatose Theresa.  Kim clearly is trying to compensate for her shortcomings as a mother and feels threatened by Billie's closeness to Theresa.  You play Kim's emotions so well.  I can see ALL of this through her "eye daggers" and "hisses" toward Billie.  LOVE IT...

Jerome's got a sense of humor, which I like, especially when he was talking about who Jordan was NOW...AND you reminded us all of how driven Sheryl is to stop EnerNext.  Good exchange between these three.

The talk between Will and Gabi was down to earth and honest, and I also liked that you are not wasting ANY time with this.  Let's get right to it.  Will is attracted to Alex, and Gabi gave him a healthy dose of truth about the whole situation.

I can't say enough about your detailed description of situations.  They put me RIGHT there and I can SEE everything through your writing.  Gabi struggling with the stroller and Will going to help  her.   Sami's looks and reactions to seeing EJ in Laura's office.  I can totally see them, and also a touching scene between them, and we are about to get into Sami's feelings as she is about to tell us why she could not go over to Johnny as she went to his room.

  7. Very good episode...Had some "heart to hearts" and story movement.

Victoria and Chance's relationship grew.  Liked their interaction

Roxanne had that slap coming for a long time.  Leslie checked her for her mouth, thankfully.

And the new generation of Young and The Restless is beginning.  Hilary and Mary are both pregnant.  Congratulations to the two women!  LOL

Scotty continues his relationship with Mary, and now she's pregnant.  I wonder what ramifications this will have on him later.  I wonder if he's going to text Kirkland with the news LOL ;)

And I wonder if Sharon is really dead.  I think Sheila still has her.

Paul delivers news that Sharon is dead and Nick punches him?  That was weird.  But I feel sorry for Noah, as not only he may be a father,  but his mother is presumed dead also.  Lots to process for that young man.

  8. Episode had a the past and the present in it.

Good job of catching us up with Mary's sexcapades with the three men.  This seems to be a turning point in this story and looking forward to seeing how everything else unfolds...especially if she turns up pregnant.

The fighting between Roxanne and Hilary and Drucilla and Phyllis revealed all the hatred between them.  We all know why Dru and Phyllis hate each other, and this fight seemed to signify what's to come between them.  As for Roxanne and Hilary, this is new to YR (no established history) and I want to see how you are going to establish the new history between these sisters.  Hilary seems to be more of a methodical schemer, and Roxanne is just a brazen bully.  LOL Interesting dynamic between those two.

You've featured Sister Patterson a lot and I am still wondering what story she's a part of.

A soapy "DAYS/AWish" cliffhanger at the end, and nothing wrong with it.  After all it is a soap opera lol.

  9. The rest of the episode is listed below...

Vicky:  He says he doesn’t trust me.  He doesn’t realize that everything I’ve ever done was for the good of our family.  I’ve made mistakes, but I love my family.  I love all of my children, and I love him.

Ryan:  Sometimes you love someone, but you can’t be with them.

Vicky:  Are you saying that...it’s time for Jake and I to divorce?  That there’s nothing I can do to fix what’s broken.

Ryan:  What I’m saying is...the more you try to fix things, the more broken they’re gonna become.

Vicky:  There’s gotta be something I can do.

Ryan:  You haven’t heard a word I’ve said.

Vicky:  I can’t just sit by and watch my family crumble.  I mean what about Steven and Kirkland?  Steven is smitten with a girl that my brother in law had an affair with years ago.  At least Kirkland’s happily married.

Ryan:  Vicky, sometimes all you can do...is sit and just be there for them.  Everybody makes their own decisions, and you can’t control them.

Vicky:  That’s not what I wanted to hear.

Ryan:  I’m not gonna lie to you Vicky.

Vicky:  Why do you have to be so angelic?  So...your boss sent you to...tell me this.

Ryan:  Yeah but I got a couple more stops to make before I go back.

    Vicky:  Where?

Ryan:  I can’t tell you, but you’ll know soon enough.

Vicky:  I wonder if you’ve been talking to my daughter.

    Ryan:  Michele.

Vicky:  After everything that Bridget did to her, Michele decided to forgive her.  In fact she’s going to the Love Mansion to tell her.

    ---------------------------------------------------

Michele walks in the front door, and looks inside the living room unseen by Donna and Bridget.  Michele is about to walk in the living room, but Bridget says something that inadvertently stops Michele, and Michele decides to listen.

Donna:  Was it your first time having sex?

Bridget:  I can’t talk to you about this.

Donna:  I’ll take that as a yes.

Bridget:  It hurt a little, but it felt good though.

    Donna:  Because it was Cory.

Bridget:  Yes, that had a lot to do with it.  Sex with Cory was...just a mind blowing experience.  I felt so high like I was...riding on a cloud or a magic carpet or something.  The first time I had sex was...with the guy I loved.  Is there anything better than that?

Donna:  It’s like me and your grandfather.

Michele gets upset and goes upstairs…

    -------------------------------------

    BRIDGET’S ROOM

Michele decides to snoop around.  She sees an unmade bed, and she gets upset.  As she looks around, she notices something in the wastebasket.  She gets a pen off the dresser and uses it to pick up...the used condom from the wastebasket, and confirms what she heard downstairs.  Her anger rebuilds as she looks at the used condom dangling from the pen.

    Michele:  No...no!

She tosses the used condom to the other side of the bed in anger.

Michele:  That bitch!   I’m gonna make you pay for this Bridget.  Oh you’re gonna be so sorry.

FREEZE FRAME ON MICHELE...SLOW FADE OUT...END OF EPISODE 210

  10. MOVING STORIES HERE...and renewing rivalries

Hilary and Rox going at it again.  You don't waste any time or mince any words...You jumped right in, BUT it was fueled by the rehashing of their history.  I'm glad Spencer was there to kind of calm his fiery daughters down.  Now I see why you kept him.  He was the much needed voice of reason.  Hilary and Roxanne are like two female cats fighting for domination of a territory.  You've established a solid sibling rivalry here.

Nice to see a different side of Scott here being concerned about Van/Mary.  She is the next Verdon Lou victim, and I'm sure EVERYONE wants to talk to her because she's Sheila Carter's daughter.

The little exchange between Rafe and Daisy was nice, short and snarky.

I see you setting up Phyllis's battle with Daisy to keep Lucy away from her.  Waiting to see what else you are going to do with this...

    GOOD EPISODE

  11. Interesting episode here....lots of setups and reveals...

Daniel Jonas is working for Stefano!!!   Huge....I presume is to keep Jack away from Jennifer.  I LIKE IT!!  Daniel on TV wouldn't do it, but Daniel is a scumbag for what he did to Chloe...so good to tap into that scumbag part of him...LOL

The ISA files were deleted.  I like the layers to this mystery of Steve and Terrance trying to find Bo.

What is being loaded by Derrick and Katsu...we will see I'm sure...

Eliza/JJ/Miranda now Hunter.  Great idea to add a fourth player in this, and now we see that JJ really likes her, but he knows he can't be a eff  up and screw things up with her, so she's moving on...and I can see the scheming wheels turning in Eliza's head.

Now I see why you showed us Greg's mother being beaten, so now we understand why he knocked out Vin, the young sociopath (lol)

    GREAT EPISODE!!!

  12. MY GOODNESS....what an episode!!!!!

Zack has a half brother Roarke...good way that you revealed that.  Wonder how that's going to play out.

Todd and the document.  He's getting ever closer to finding out the source.

So Holden went to work?  We still don't know where he works.  I'm sure we will find out...like that mystery.

AND FOR MY FAVORITE STORY...forbidden love.  Elijah and Eartha....I LOVE THIS STORYLINE MAN!!!!  The way you are telling their past romance is so compelling and deep, and I FEEL all of it.   And I liked how you used Reva's accident to segue into Elijah and Eartha.

    GREAT EPISODE!!!

  13. THE GRANTS ARE IN THE HOUSE...very well introduced.  Valerie and Jerome.

Nick walking around town intimidating others, this time Sami.  I was just waiting for him to mention the lake.  Sami didn't back down, and it wouldn't be in her character if she did.

Good setup with Valerie and Marlena.  Old friends reconnecting...

This episode gives me a feel of "new" Days.  A turning point of sorts.  I am so looking forward to what is coming next.

  14. Here's the rest...this blog will not allow the edit to be published..

Cory goes to the bathroom, Bridget reaches for her phone and notices a text from Donna.  The text reads:  ‘Where are you?  Ur sister is here.’  Bridget smiles as she contemplates her next move.

Bridget:  This couldn’t have worked out any better.

FREEZE FRAME ON BRIDGET...SLOW FADE OUT...END OF EPISODE 209

  15. The episode of sleazeballs...

Vin about to hit Willow in his search for Ali.  I like that you are showing us just how dangerous he is.

Perfect casting (John Wesley Shipp) for a sleazeball character lol

Natalia is being stubborn.  I hope it doesn't backfire on her

I like how you are slowly building this search for Bo.  Clue by clue as they get closer to his whereabouts.

Good episode...You showed us a lot of character in this..

  16. Lots of action in this episode...twists and turns as well....Avery is blind, Neil being shot, everyone finding out.

Nate being punched out and carted off on a stretcher.

    Sister Patterson's hilarious third eye.

And where are the others that were in that cabin?  Who lives?  Who dies?

The sequence of events are playing in order...great aftermath episode.

  17. This was a fun episode to read.  The barbs between Reva and Blair were just excellent.  Blair making fun of Reva's size, and Reva making fun of Blair's southern accent.  Just splendid.  Fun to read.

Ben and Luke are "together".  Poor Luke.  He's about to get hurt.  Gary must have hired Ben to get to Luke.  I bet it has something to do with Holden's job.

Malik and Dani's relationship is building.  I like...

You get Todd's character really well.  I could see Roger Howarth exchanging those words with Sam, and Sam got Todd to print Trinity's piece.

Jack Doe's timing was funny in that Todd was just talking about needing a personal secretary.

    Good episode!!

  18.

Ben turns on the charm to get to Luke.  He’s manipulating poor unsuspecting Luke.  The scenes are hot though.

Morris and Eartha’s marriage continues to crumble.  I wondered the same thing Morris wondered.  Why did Eartha marry him in the first place?  I’m also wondering why Morris married Eartha.  I think they kinda used each other to get what they wanted.

The teens – end of the school year means more trouble they can get into for the summer, outside of their jobs.

Reva and Blair remind me of two lionesses fighting to be the Queen Bitch of the pride.  I love it though.  Art may be imitating life with these two as you write about it (behind the scenes with Guiding Light and One Life To Live) and if you are, it’s creative and a great poke at what goes on with soap divas.

    Great episode!!!!

  19. An easy paced episode that really gave me perspective on what people were feeling and thinking.

Trinity ‘s story was powerful and deep.  So many of us feel that way being black in this country.  Yeah Sam is uncomfortable, but oh well, it’s the truth.  Sandra Bland, and thelist goes on.  Way to make us socially conscious about the goings on.

Can we find out what this job Holden has already?  LOL…just kidding…making us wait is a good soap writer’s staple..

Reva and Blair feel disdain toward each other, given what each said.  You have kept the fire on low on this pot of Reva and Blair water, and it is boiling ever so slowly.  When that water reaches 212 degrees, oh boy…I like that you are doing this.

Morris and Eartha continue to be your couple that interests me the most.  I have a lot of questions about Eartha.  Did she marry Morris because he was going to be a doctor?  That he could give her more of a financially stable life than Elijah could?  Eartha still has feelings for Elijah.  I think for her he’s the one who got away.  I wonder if a pregnancy had something to do with her marrying Morris.  This is a very intriguing story and I look forward to all of those questions being answered.

Someone is after Jack, and he has no clue.  No clue of who he is and who’s after him.

I look forward to all this being revealed.

  20. Jesse/Angie – This scene reminds me of one of the reboot scenes that was talked about…(re:  Size lol)

Vin is a sociopath.  I am afraid of what he’s going to do to Ali.

Jeremy’s shrine to the baddest the world has to offer was amusingly disturbing.  I’m also afraid of what HE’S going to do.  (Thanks for the AW love, no pun intended lol)..and Charlotte dated this guy!!  He’s way more dangerous than Vin could ever be.

Kayla was the voice of reason in those scenes with Steve, Roman, Hope, Carly, and Terrence.  Clearly they cannot think straight with Bo being missing.

The flashback scenes gave me more insight as to how Bo got to where he is now.  You’re very good at telling backstory through flashbacks.  You provide me a lot of perspective as to how you arrived at your story and where the story may be going.

  21. This episode felt like it was moving and I had to keep up.  Good action pacing here.

Drucilla is back and I liked how you did this episode.  It seems very appropriate for this point of Dru’s return.  Everyone is shocked and surprised.  This clearly isn’t the time for questions as to where she’s been.  This pacing is very good.

Sister Patterson provides the humor and it gives the episode balance because this is fast mover, and once again she shames Leslie.

Leslie is clearly jealous because she senses the connection between Neil and the woman he ever really loved through his family.

Rafe and Scotty’s scene was very well written.  It pit two types against each other.  Scotty wants sex and Rafe wants a relationship.  It was very well done there and I am looking forward to seeing what is next for both of them.

The description of Neil in surgery was excellent.  I see that you have been using narrative description more and more and it helps to move your action along.  In this instance, it put me in the O.R.  Just like if I was watching it on TV.  Neil in surgery.  AND then he flatlined at the end, just as Drucilla asks where Neil is.  Just perfect.  I really enjoyed the pace of this episode as well as the characters.

  22. A tight, focused episode here.  You took a few characters and zeroed in on what they’re doing, and what their attitudes are.  The descriptions paint a vivid picture for me (Marlena reaching for her phone, the color draining from Nicole’s face after Nick checkmates her again, and the HANDSHAKE which usually gives it all away)

The introduction of Noelle and Alex…

it’s good that you connected Noelle with someone we knew immediately so then we can care about her, and the backstory of her father being dead.   Brilliant move there.

Nick is really smelling himself with all the power and knowledge he’s getting.  Nicole loves to try and poke and prod him, but Nick always shuts her down AND gets even more of an upper hand further by recording their conversation.

I love the lines you are giving him though.  You are showing his arrogance through his dialogue.  Great job there.

So Will meets Alex Kiriakis.  THIS will be interesting.

  23. Very Character driven episode.  Emotions, desires, and agendas being shown for very different reasons.

Nick is one clever SOB…he’s got Nicole right where he wants her.

For me, the tension is building for Laura, Liam and Jennifer.  I am just waiting for him to do something to her because she’s on to him, and now she’s about to drag Daniel into it.  And Laura knows something is about to go down with Liam.

Anita knew about the relapse…hmm how did SHE get a hold of THAT info.  Probably because of his dilated pupils and rapid heart beat.  But she’s got to be lying about that.  He would not have had those after an accident.  Brady will be too stupid to see that she contradicted herself in the whole description of how she found Brady and the condition he was in.  You will have nailed his character down at that point lol.

Nick just twists the knife to everyone he’s blackmailing..this time to Sami.

Will is so attracted to Alex.  I have felt that awkwardness many times.  The descriptions are so on point with that scene.  As always, your narratives put me in the shoes of the character and what the character’s feeling (also because I’ve been there) and the soapy coffee spilling-let-me-remove-your-shirt-so-I-can-see-your-chiseled-body device LOL…I see you are going for broke with this storyline.

And Kayla announces her resignation as COS so she can go with John.  Funny because I’m about to announce a new one on AW lol.

  24. 72

Sonny woke up to a NEW Will…I liked how you did that. “You look like a whole new person.” But Will stung that a** by telling them to sleep in different quarters. Sonny deserves it. I wonder how long it’s going to go on. Oh and Will thinks he’s gonna handle this job…hmm he’s got no idea…love it.

Nicole’s sarcasm nicely breaks Nick’s darkness, but he quickly reminded her of who’s balls he’s holding…so villain-y lol

Jennifer was wrong to take a jab at Laura’s mental health history like that. I liked how they just commiserated over morning coffee about Abigail. They have NO idea the danger she’s in..

Love the historical reference to that night in the car. EJ making Sami have sex with him to free Lucas. A gripping, and poignant issue between them, and Sami was just being honest. She had to be, and it may finally bring them to a new place in their relationship.

    Great once again buddy!!

  25. DAYS 71

So JJ, the way he was describing his discovery of Liam to Laura…I could see him saying that in character…and now he’s got Laura on the case with what he told her.

Goody two shoes Daniel is gonna risk his job by getting Billie into see Theresa. How noble of him (sarcasm)..

Nice tender moments between Rafe and Jordan to help balance JJ and Laura’s scenes.

Eric makes me sick. Nicole SHOULD have left him sitting right there. I know this struggle with his faith is necessary, but Eric gets on my nerves the way he treats Nicole…it’s Daniel-ish..

Good movement of stories in this episode.
