The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I love this place, too! So nice to get my Tracy fix on a regular basis, especially when TIIC are being cruel. As for the Tracy Leaves Dillon clip? Ms.Q, you'd be my new bestest friend for evah if you uploaded that puppy. I read an entire article about that scene, back when I started watching the show, and I've wanted to see it ever since. (The fanfic, "Invisible" was based, at least in part, on what I read from that article.) So, post away, as well as anything else you think I might want to see. I need LOTS of Tracy for my next mvid--the more colorful, the better (hint hint).

Just for fun: Also, I remember seeing Tracy bargain with Edward--something like, "I'll never do you another favor again" "You've never done me a favor before" and Lulu and Dillon coming in right before he lets Robert go..... It was right after the opening credits. (Fey's mom's tape always cuts off the teaser scenes.) Edit: *sniff* Rewatching the scenes in the hospital with Dillon. I love them together. Wish to any GODS that will listen that they will get more quality time, and that Dillon might realize how freakin' lucky he is. I mean, look at these scenes with Tracy and thank the deities that she had Lila's influence in her life so she knew how to be a mother when it really counted. *throws big old stick at real!Edward, who obviously learned parenting skills from a rabid pirahna....*

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Somebody (MsQ, probably) uploaded these a while back. They were lost when my disk got ruined. Would whoever has them be willing to repost the links for me? I'm logging the videos I have in order to get them organized. I would really appreciate it. Oh, and Ms.Q? Isn't there a scene with Edward, Tracy and Robert missing in here somewhere?

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Happy TracyQ thoughts-- 1. Hugging her boys after the Port Charles fire. I don't care how many times I see that clip, it just warms my heart. 2. The kiss between Tracy and Luke--even thought it was interrupted, it shows so much potential for heat and sex appeal. 3. Alice tossing Tracy over the couch. This may be just me, but JE getting physical in a scene works for me in a big way. If she isn't afraid to take a fall for the show, maybe she could go on adventures. 4. Tracy giving Monica the Christmas gift. Sweet, sweet, sweet. 5. That little smile/head tilt with her fingers on her chin when she asks Luke for a two month anniversary present and says "In your dreams" when he suggests something from Heddy Hofstedder's Hothouse of Exotic Lingerie. There, five moments of TracyJoy to counteract the depressing trend we're seeing. Oh, and a bonus--one word. Ta! Edit: KENNA! I downloaded the True Colors video! Lovely, lovely work. I really liked the scenes you chose, especially (of course) the Tracy/Luke parts. It's kind of sad, though, that the most telling scenes of Tracy in the last few years have been of her breaking down in hysterical tears at one loss or another. OTOH, her comforting Alan over the loss of A.J. is still one of the best things I've ever seen of Tracy. Thank you so much for doing this vid. (Oh, and my partner Fey wanted you to know she thought the video was lovely.....)

Okay, promise, swear--this is the last version of this video. I'm deleting the working file after I post this and saving ONLY the final version. I'm Not That Girl (Final Version).

My tape messed up today. I'm glad there was no TQ, but I'll have to borrow Fey's mom's tape to see at least the discussions about her. Been crazy busy--just got on the computer about ten minutes ago, and it's 2 am. I'm loving the comments about the episodes and the spoilers. Did TG win Best Actor? And not a word of thanks to freakin' Jane Elliot? What a maroon..... Oh, and MsQ--the Robert/Tracy banner had me LMFAO! The only problem is that the color scheme made it hard to see the pictures clearly, and trust me--these are facial expressions I so want to see. *downloading the All Tied Up scenes* 2:33 am: Just edited the I'm Not That Girl vid *again*. Smirks, your suggestions were great--I think it's better now. And I learned to use Transitions, so...well, get ready for the cheesy goodness. You know the drill--will upload to SendSpace asap. And no more edits on this one--it's done. As for uploading to GHVT? I have no idea how to do that. I think I'm registered there, but I haven't been able to make heads or tails of the whole damn site. I haven't been able to find one thing there yet..... Does that make me officially old? Yeah, I'm a complete geezer.

Yes. Yes, I am. And I know that, in my little universe, Tracy is agonizing over this whole thing, even though she won't let the world know. She's worried because everybody seems to have figured out her secret, and angry because she knows they're right. She's embarrassed because she can't help herself, and part of her thinks that jerk!Edward's comments about her being pathetic for chasing after a man are true. But she's Tracy freakin' Quartermaine, and she's not going to be held back by fear. She's going to go where she wants to go, do what she wants to do, and damn the consequences. So THERE. Personally, I would love to see them film "fantasy" scenes from both Luke and Tracy's POV, while still having them not together in RL. JE and TG could totally play the disconnect between what they're fantasizing and their reality with such pinache. But of course, that would mean TIIC would have to take them seriously both as characters and as a couple. The jury's still out on whether that will ever happen; they're strictly for laughs these days, but it's getting better. You are truly the Source of All Evil, aren't you? Bite your tongue, wench. I did notice the expression--in fact, I replayed it so Fey could see, too. A Tracy - Lulu partnership could yield very fun results, imho.

I am so tired of Tracy being kidnapped. I mean, she's like the Source of All Things Evil, isn't she? Don't ya think she could muster up a chance of doing the kidnapping now and again? The last good kidnapping she organized was back in 2005, convincing Vinnie to nab Skye. Ah...memories...well, somebody's memories, because I've never seen the episodes. Personally, I have this thing I want to see so bad it hurts. Well a couple of things. One, I'd love to see them do something like Robert's dream sequences on the plane with Tracy. Except instead of dreaming about past events, she'd have this fantasy about rescuing a terribly grateful Luke from impending death or torture. Of course, she'd wake up, ticked at herself, and steal a pillow from that same old lady... *snark* Two, I want to see her show up at the hotel and ask (in a bad German accent) for Doktor von Schemerman. When asked who wants to know, "I'm MISSUS Von Schemerman, you dumkopf!" LOL. Oh, and by the way, did anybody who *didn't spend hours editing video clips the other night* notice a little tidbit from yesterday's episode? When she was leaving to go to the Maarkham Islands... , Tracy was wearing the same outfit she wore when Luke asked her to run away with him and they kissed. I'm 99% sure that she hasn't worn that outfit since that episode, either. Hoping to trigger memories, girlfriend? Ms. Q and Smirks--where you get your episode clips--do they come already broken down and labeled by scene, or do you have to shuffle through all of the scenes to find what you want? I've tried the places you recommended, registered, and still can't make heads or tales of navigation... I feel bad constantly asking for clips here (like, um, yesterday's??? *cough*), but I'm flummoxed as to where to find them--even when I know what site to go to. Well, I suppose TracyLurve and the joy of actually being able to drive my own car to work for the first time in a year and a half has got me giddy. I'm going to go now--in the soon to be immortal words of Tracy Q. Von Shcemerman....Ta! (Fey and I rewound and watched that scene three times....)

I saw that, too. It looked...suggestive...of a certain activity that a married woman should not be doing with her husband's friend....

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Thanks to all who offered constructive criticism. I've fixed the dialogue vocals (hopefully) and cleaned up some of the transitions. Smirks had some really good suggestions that I think I will implement, but that won't be till the weekend, probably. Until then, here is the corrected version: http://www.sendspace.com/file/iphgtd Oh, and completely OT: SQUEE!!!!! As of 12:40 p.m., my car is completely driveable--insurance, tags, repairs. This may not seem like much until you realize I have been without my car since November. Of 2004!!!!!

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Good point--I went back into the working file and increased the volume on the dialogue. It's tricky, because there's music underneath the clip that clashes with the song, but I think I got it done. And you gave me a chance to clean up some other stuff that was bothering me, too. I'll upload the revised version this afternoon.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Okay, it's done. I'm Not That Girl (mvid, 12 meg) has been uploaded. It's exclusively LuNacy, very sad--images of Laaaaauuuurrraaaa. Both really good ideas in the vid (the B&W/color variance, the bits of dialogue) came from Fey, so she gets credit if you like it. (If you hate it, blame me for taking her advice?) Of course, now I'm depressed as hell..... Luke, you better do right by that girl.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Grrrr..... She's gonna get left behind again, isn't she? *kicks TIIC in their misogynist butts*

*whine moan !@#$%^&*] groan STAMP FEET AND THROW A BIGGIE-SIZED TANTRUM* I came home from work to find the tape EJECTED from my VCR. Now I know the timer was set when I went to bed last night (at 2:30!!) and it was set when I woke up this morning (at 7:00!), so at some point when I was at work, SOMEBODY took the VCR off timer and ejected my freakin' tape. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease, would somebody please post the Tracy scenes from today? I'm going to my room to mope before I take Fey to her night class. Thank you. Edit: Just read the recap of today's episode, and I'm even more annoyed. Of course, at least we know now that Tracy went to college. I've always wondered about that, and what qualifications (other than being a Quartermaine and a natural) she had for running ELQ. And while we're at it, does anybody here know exactly what kind of business ELQ is? Do they make things, sell things, train people, buy and sell things, ship things? What? (You'd think in over 11,000 episodes, it would have been mentioned once.....)

Oh, I believe you. She's good at it, too. That's our girl--she never does anything half-way.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
You make a lot of good points. And I agree with you--Fey has a big thing about fairness, and the way life (in the guise of TIIC) treats Tracy is unfair. Fairness would indicate that a cheated-upon spouse should be able to cheat back. Reality is that some people cheat, and others don't. I do agree with her that I hate how the writers never seem to let Tracy be happy, not even for a moment. I know that a happy soap character is an invisible soap character, and trouble keeps Tracy viable even as she ages, but COME ON. Throw her a crust, now and then. Nobody could last under the constant, crushing pressure of bad things that Tracy has had to deal with in her life (with absolutely ZERO support from her family and so-called friends) without becoming bitter, ruthless, and angry. The fact that Tracy (considering what she got from her father and brother and mother-who loved her but didn't really) can still love, even in her own warped way, is testement to her incomprable strength of character. You're not the only sap. I didn't get why everybody was ignoring Sr. Barbara for Sr. Michelle, when Sister Barbara was a spunky little hottie unafraid to slut herself up to get some furniture moved. I loved when the Elvis character referred to her as "Miss Teenage America." LOL. If I ever get my Geek On to Full-Strentgh SuperHero Mode, I may just write some COH fanfic. Maybe a body-swap crossover where 60 year old Barbara does a Freaky Friday with Tracy? Could you imagine her in the Qmaine household, all perky and smiling and scaring the bejeezus out of everyone with her sunny disposition? Oh, yeah, I'm evil that way....

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
My gf was reading the board yesterday, and commented on how she thinks that Tracy remaining faithful to Luke when he is obviously not faithful to her paints her as pathetic. I don't know if I'd go that far, but I do think it really shows a bias on the part of the writers--when Luke screws around, it's Luke being Luke. But if Tracy cheated on him with, say, Robert??? People would have fits. Just as the show has trouble with diversity, it also seems to have a huge bias against women. Men are allowed to be arrogant, unfaithful, irresponsible, etc., and they're just...superspy heroes? (Oh, Dillon, where did we go wrong?) But if a woman tries to assert herself, have her own adventures, choose her lovers on her own terms, etc., she's a slut, flighty, a !@#$%^&*], or well..Tracy. Personally, I liked the scenes yesterday. I like that EVERYBODY is figuring out that Tracy loves Luke, except of course...Luke. (BECAUSE HE'S A CLUELESS GIT, she screams at the TV screen.) Even Monica didn't annoy me yesterday--in fact, it's the first time I've seen Monica on screen when I didn't want to scratch her eyes out, and she was even mocking Tracy. Edward is a psycho. I guess that's why Jed Allen didn't work in the character--I could never really hate "Don" from DOOL. But this guy? He's Edward, the psycho control-freak who plays with people's lives like puppets. I could almost imagine the JA Edward loved Tracy underneath, but it will take a hard sell to get me to think the JI Edward cares anything at all for his "misguided" daughter. Oh, Luke, come back and be the man we all know you have the potential to be. Scheme with her, plot with her, and help her get out from under that lunatic's emotional thumb. *blink* This was supposed to be a short post... Edit: Forgot to mention, Fey and I watched Change of Habit all the way through. While cringing at the cheesiness and dated slang, it was really a fun movie. JE was really great in it, far superior to MTM's hammy, overplayed Nellie Forbush in a habit character. The scene where she decides to leave the order was perfectly played, and showed just how good JE had the potential of becoming. Of course, I thought she had more chemistry with Elvis than MTM did, but maybe I'm biased.... *seeking psychiatric help now, for this wierd fascination of mine*

Maybe since Luke stole a woman from him, he wants to steal a woman from Luke? *waggles eyebrows*

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Hey, I haven't seen today's episode yet--at least there is a lot of Tracy on this one. *sigh* Keith, you mentioned Tracy and Wicked in one breath? Well, I made a couple of icons.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I think I may have mentioned that in one of my fanfics, but I can't remember. And judging from how she looked in the flashback clip (after Dillon was born premature and Lila was comforting her), I can believe that she never did look more beautiful. I'd love to see those Paul Hornsby years, if only to solidify my hate for him. (Ten seconds of Mitch Williams in the Edward Fakes a Heart Attack clip did the job for me on that front.) Since we're asking for clips--anybody got any of Tracy with Larry Ashton? I would love to see them together--I've heard they were pretty snappy and bright, like the fizz on a ginger ale. But that may be another Tracy and Larry..... OT: Send good thoughts, ya'll--they found a four-foot snake in our back yard, and my GF is utterly hysterical. She has this thing about snakes.....

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
It's so funny--Fey scoffed and laughed at me for my whole CoH thing--mainly because she loathes Elvis. She bought me the CD on the strict condition that she'd never have to watch it. Last night, while I was capping, she got interested, and by time I gave up (I didn't cap the whole movie), she was like, Let's watch it!!! Since it was 1:30 am, and I had to get up at 7 am, I politely decline--mocking her all the way. And was it just me, or was the first scene, where they're changing out of their habits into street clothes, kinda...racy? Not fair. She only cheated that first time because Luke tricked her. She thought she was doing the wild monkey-lurve thing with her lawfully-wedded husband. (Didya notice the picture? She really does get "athletic.") Granted, when Coleman asked for sex in exchange for telling the truth, she could have refused and instead offered him s**tloads of money for his help. But why should she? I mean, Luke THREW her in bed with another man, with the overt intention of blackmailing her into a divorce. She owed him no loyalty at that point, nor did she owe hiim fidelity for any reason than legal. (I mean, it's not like he wouldn't have cheated on her if Skye had let him.) So you can still see Tracy as a one-man woman. Once she'd decided that Coleman was the way to go, she not only agreed to the divorce, but offered the $15 million as alimony. She did the right thing by him, even though he didn't deserve it. And when her feelings for Luke started to turn real, she never gave any hint of infidelity, and I doubt this time will be any different. She may lead Robert on to get him to work with her, but she wouldn't go through with anything. No, despite the fact that she is considered the Queen of All Evil, Tracy Quartermaine is usually the Cheated Upon, not the Cheater.

Well, Ms. Q, thank you for the clips. I need them for my next mvid that I will be working on if I ever find my stupid Wicked CD. As for the Sekrit Speshal Project, you might know that I am involved with a beautiful woman named Fey. We've been together for five years, and she totally indulges my fannish activities, even when she doesn't share them. About two weeks ago, she surprised me by buying me a Very Speshal DVD---Change of Habit with Elvis (squee!) Presley, Mary Tyler Moore, and (oh yeah) Jane Elliot! Now Fey hates Elvis, and she thinks my Nun Thing is kinda wierd (let me tell you--the Nun Striptease at the beginning of that movie is just a little freaky, even for me). But she knows I love this movie, cheesy though it may be, and that my current Jane Elliot fanatacism simply demanded I own it. So, I've been taking screen caps most of the evening, and now, I'd like to share with you some wonderful shots of Ickle Janie as an Undercover Nun.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Well, of COURSE Lukas and Guy have to get together, because they're the only gay men on the show. Just like Lainie and Justus have to get together because they're the only black people on the show. *rolls eyes* I love how GH puts diversity in...just enough...in tiny, bite-sized pieces, so as not to shock Granny. But really, in a town the size of New York, you'd think there would be more black people. And Hispanics, and queers, and Asians, blahblahblah.... If anybody on that show would swing both ways, I could see it being Tracy. She is not going to let a little thing like gender get in the way of getting what she wants, no matter what she wants. As for Alice? Dude, her Luke-Lust is *such* a shield.

Hey, I'm a second generation Thibodaux Playhouse thespian, with ten plays to my name, including Rizzo in Grease. Granted, I haven't done a play since 1989, but I still claim the theater geek title with honor. Thank you--Now, can you locate my Wicked soundtrack, so I can get to work on the next one? Also, if anybody has the following clips, you would forever be on my Shiny Happy People list: Tracy and Luke's kiss after the Teenage LuNacy flashbacks. Tracy without make-up after faking her own death, especially when she's drinking the martini. Any good scenes of Tracy and Luke--touching, smiling, exchanging knowing glances. My partner Fey thinks Tracy and Robert are hotter than Tracy and Luke, but still not as hot as Tracy and Coleman. (And we both think Tracy and Alice could heat up the screen....) But I still don't think their personalities spark enough for my taste. Although, having read the spoilers for this week....maybe I'm wrong?
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Did anybody see the following spoiler: * * * * While Luke's away, someone will play. If that translates to Tracy and Robert, count me out. Not because I couldn't see them together. They have as much chemistry as any other couple on the show, and much more than *cough Soily cough* some couples. But the only way I could see any legitimate writer justifying even a flirtation between the two would be Robert coming on to Tracy to get her to betray Luke, and Tracy letting him think he has a chance to buy time for Luke. Personally, I think a woman that hot doesn't need a plot device to be flirted with. Just put her in a group of men (or women) who appreciate style, grace, maturity, and sex appeal, and she'll be peeling them off her with a spatula. But then, I'm just an admirer of the female form, not a ratings-conscious, over-stressed soap writer.... /END SPOILER TALK That being said, I loved that she tracked down the Scoobies in the basement and managed to outwit the outwitter. (Oh, Tracy--I never thought I'd see you anywhere near a frying pan--marriage is making you domestic, I see?) Edit: *sing-song voice* I got something in the mail..... I got something in the maaaaaiiiillll!!! Be prepared, boys and girls. Be prepared.... *ebil, sing-songy laughter* Edit2: Okay I'm just being silly now. Check out the TracyQ Instant Plot Generator I made. Oh, and why didn't anybody tell me that Liz Taylor was the original Helena Cassadine? This I did not know...
