Hey, eventually, I think I'll have an entire CD full of nothing but Tracy vids! LOL. Last night, Ms.Q graciously uploaded the 1993 Tracy Gets Banished from the Castle clip for me. Unfortunately, the clip had no audio, but it did force me to really pay attention to try to read lips. I caught several I'm so sorry's with Ned, You know how much I love you with Lila (and Lila's "I do, I do. I love you, dear." in response.) To Paul, she said, "You did this to me." The most crushing was outside the front door, when she's trying to compose herself. She doesn't know Edward is watching her from the window...and she smiles and says "I love you, Daddy." Of course, Edward says somethign back from the window, but I couldn't make it out. MsQ, how good are you at reading lips? I'd love a transcript of what is said on this clip..... I took the liberty of making some screen caps. The lot of them are here, but here are a few teasers.

Any TQ today? We got a new TV today, and I'm looking forward to seeing her with a clear new picture tube. (Hey, $89 -- after receiving the "Pulling a Tracy and !@#$%^&*] at the manager for the lousy customer service" discount -- for a 20" Sanyo with remote is not bad....) For travelers, it's official. The entire freaking state of Kentucky is now a speed trap. I've gotten two tickets in under three weeks--only one of which I think I deserved. I am officially living in Hell, which is why I cling to my fantasy life so dearly, I suppose..... Edit: Quartermainia!!! Just read that. LMFAO!!! I say we pitch it. Maybe a sitcom where they lose all their money and have to buy a run-down hotel in Boca Raton to stay afloat.... Or how about this--a comedy-variety hour, like the Brady Bunch Musical Variety Show or Donny and Marie, complete with ice skaters (we know JE can ice skate) and cheesy comedy skits? The possibilities are limitless--let's go stay with the Clampetts until one of us becomes a Big-Time Hollywood Producer!!!!!

Hey, gang. Stayed home today--was up late sick, so I didn't go in to work. Oy--forgot what it feels like to drag my butt outta bed at 1 pm! Anyway, here's the new vid: Mad, Mad Me. Heads-up? It's not a funny song. It's to a gorgeous ballad by Tuck and Patti, one of the greatest recording duos no one's ever heard of... The song is from the 1988 Wyndham Hill recording, Tears of Joy, one of the most powerful and uplifting collection of songs I've ever had. (I'm on my third copy--finally found it on CD.) And of course, I choose the most angsty song on the thing to vid--so true to form am I... Seriously, though, if you ever see the CD, pick it up. You won't regret it.

Well, we're practically doing it here and at FF.net. And I just finished another LuNacy vid. (Yeah, I'm sad.) Oh, and just for S&Gs, I did a natal chart on TracyQ, using the date of the birthday episode and the year JE was born. It's actually eerie how accurate it is.....

MsQ, I'm having trouble importing the clips from the other day into WMM. It keeps saying they are not indexed, which smirks says means they're probably corrupted. Have you tried importing them yet? (I'm talking specifically of the scenes with the Qmaines, Robert, Alice, and Luke from yesterday.) About the plot bunny--yeah, it's involved. I'm kind of amazed, given my short attention span, how many really *huge commitment* bunnies are popping into my head these days. Normally, I'm a "five pages and it's done" kind of writer, but I seem to be stuck in this dayum multi-chapter mode. Speaking of multi-chapter mode, this quote from the last installment of "Oh, Baby" just struck me as fantastic. If there's anybody here who *isn't* reading the story, here's a hint of what you're missing. “Maybe not, but really. No big deal,” she insisted even though both of them knew it was a big deal. Fathers weren’t supposed to tell their daughters that they’re disgraces to their families, that they don’t deserve their families, that no one could ever love them… Just chokes me the heck up....

I tried a top 10 list, but just couldn't think of anything. I do like the idea of them--I've just had a hard day at work and my brain has stopped. I was thinking of just spending my money--got another $20 from my gf's great-grandmother when I got home! I FF'd through the episode. I was waiting for Sonny to go ballistic on Emily, cuz, well, Poor Little Emily hasn't gotten to cry for over twenty minutes. Nothing much to hold my interest, so we're going to the used game and video store in Louisvile after I do the dishes to spend money. Hoping for TQ tomorrow, but not holding my breath. Got another Tracy-Ned plot bunny today, but I don't think I can make it happen. One, it's open-ended. There's no logical ending point for me. Two, gawd, how much angst can you write (this AU stories kicking my butt emotionally)? So I've decided to open it up for adoption. If anybody is looking to try their hand at fanfic, here is a plot bunny for free: Tracy gets news of Larry Ashton's death, and she and Ned travel to England for his funeral. While they are there, Larry's brother Charles (the real Lord Ashton) tells them his own child has died and that, upon his death, as the only living heir, Ned, will become Lord Ashton. Discuss? How does Ned react? How does Tracy react? Luke, Brooke Lynn, Lois, Dillon, etc.? Does Ned warm to the idea, or does his resentment (probably unresolved) towards his father affect his decisions? Does Tracy try to take advantage of this turn of events? Does this affect the way Ned is treated in the family, especially by Edward? So what do you think? Any takers?

Huh? Did I miss an update of Oh, Baby? The last thing I read was Dillon trying to be there for his mom. *kicks Internet* I'm just...having a techie bad hair day. No TQ, huh? Kewl. I can go spend my birthday money in good conscience. As I mentioned on the ficathon, the AU story is now 4 chapters long and about 7100 words. I'm trying not to go too overboard with the two OCs (one male, one female), but they're necessary to show how Tracy developed away from the Qs. I should have Q-contact by Chapter Six--all hell's gonna break loose in this next one I'm writing. Poor Tracy. I'm soooo mean to her.

LOL! I'm such a leg fanatic--I made Fey rewind the tape and check out Tracy's legs! After all those damned pantsuits, I was giddy. Wow. TMI, huh? Oh, and in second viewing, I am totally digging the new hair--didn't like it at first, but especially in the teaser, it looks really great.

Shoot me DED, I loved TQ today. If she'd fallen even one bit for Robert's BS, I would have been livid. Instead, she pulled a fast one on us and actually *acted like Tracy Quartermaine!* Wow, that's something we haven't seen in a while. OH, and Ms.Q, I rewound the tongue twister more than once--LMFAO. She pulled if off so smoothly--god bless her, our alliterative goddess, that pretty pink paragon of perfectly produced paragraphs! ETA: Oh, I forgot to ask--more stormy weather in Kentucky, and the teaser was cut off. Was it worth asking for it in clip form?

Oh. Dear. Gawd. His little...love machine??? It's official. Guza is on crack. That kind of comment from Luke is appropriate. From Robert? Just silly. I mean, dude, she knows "Daddy" is paying you to bust her and Luke up. Do you honestly think she's stupid enough to fall for your flirtations? Do the writers think she's stupid enough? And do they think the viewers, who've obviously known Tracy longer than THEY have, are stupid enough to fall for this? OY. It's good to have TQ time, but I hate having my intelligence insulted. Or maybe I'm just cranky....I think I need a nap.

kenna, I loved the vid! And I totally *LUST* after your clips--can we talk? I so would love the older ones--with the short wedge (looks like it's from The City) and with Lila--as well as a couple others I don't have. Share, please????? SPOILER As for ES coming back--my girlfriend will be thrilled. Ironically, she's able to love TQ and Holly equally. I like Holly too, as long as she's not the means by which to humiliate Tracy.

MsQ, love the pic! I don't think watching her wardrobe is all that shallow, honestly. I mean, what they dress her in oftten reflects what they think of her--when a character is considered a viable commodity, they get the better hair and wardrobe--more production time and money is spent on making them look good. When a character is downgraded, they get what's left over. The worse they dress you, the less you count. It actually made me feel better to know that her wardrobe fluctuated so wildly, even back then. It shows that the wardrobe folks are inconsistant, and this isn't really just a slight on the character/actress. Kenna, downloading your vid this morning, and will watch it tonight when I get back from work. In the WIERDER THAN WIERD (BUT WONDERFUL) category--my B Disk of Clips? Just loaded today...it had been showing blank every time I opened it, so I decided to just start over, saving stuff on it. And when I popped it in, there were all my vids. Of course, it's now write-protected, so I have to start Disk C, but I'm not complaining. I have my clips back! To whoever prayed to St. Jude? (I was focusing on St. Anthony...) Thanks.

I tell you, I'm not sure of anything with these writers. I've had an insight about them--it's not that they lack talent, or skill, or imagination. What they lack is faith. They have no faith at all in the viewers, in their intelligence, in their ability to handle something out of the ordinary. They are convinced we're all shallow, youth-obsessed morons who want our storylines fed to us, who want our emotional issues black and white, who want our characters over the top. I think if they would just trust us a little, they could go further and give our characters something really juicy to deal with. Instead, we get stupid triangles and "Girls Night Out" and SOILY up the wazzoo and "Who My Daddy" left and right.... OY.

oooh, yeaaaaahhhhh!!! Now I remember. I'm telling you, we're noticing her wardrobe in anticipation of the day Tawny Madison gets fired from her job! (For those of you who haven't seen Soapdish a thousand times, I offer this reminder: "A turban? You put me in a turban? I look like Gloria F***N' Swanson!") Think about it-- at one point in the game, she was wearing items like this: and this: Now she's wearing items like this: and this: Dudes, we need to find out what happened to the old wardrobe mistress, and get them back. Tracy is too sharp looking to be dressed all drab. And if I was the actress who played Emily, I'd sue for the skanky ugly dresses I was forced to wear... But that's just my humble opinion. Any TQ on today? Even a little bit?

Can you link them here? I tried going to medianet, but didn't see anything new. Also, I see that it requires registration, but doesn't mention if the registration is free. Can any of you guys who get pics from there clue me in on this?

Actually, Ms.Q, I don't remember that jacket--but when I see it on the show, I might. BTW, I decided to turn lemons into lemonade and use ALL the clips on my A Disk to work on Not Ready to Make Nice, my latest Tracy vid. You guys do know that I have no intention of branching out, or even making cursory stabs at being anything but the Tracy-centric fangirl I am. At least until I figure out how to make clips from DVDs using Nero. Then I might do an Emily Gilmore vid....or a Change of Habit one.

SPOILER TALK I read that thread, too. I think some people will look at Tracy and see the worst of her, no matter what. Fey's mom is like that--even when it's obvious that Tracy did not mean something in a bad way, or that she's being treated unfairly, she always sides against Tracy. She just loathes her, no matter what she does. I agree with you that many of the things Tracy has done, like the thing with the pictures of Georgie on the internet, are reprehensible and can't be defended. But many of the things she does are products of her environment, of the psychotic family dynamic that all the Q's seem to be subject to. They're all mean, bitter, vindictive, and unkind to each other. But Tracy seems to be the only one who gets called on it. Sure, you withhold a single dose of heart medication 24 years ago, and they never let you forget.... As for unexpected motherhood, I'm thinking it's probably going to be Lulu, and will probably be a situation where Luke is presumed dead. As for why she stays with Tracy, well technically, as her stepmother, Tracy is her legal guardian in the event of Luke's death, unless Luke thought to make other arrangements. And if Tracy actually believes Luke is dead, I can see her holding onto Lulu in some codependent way--trying to make up for something she missed with Luke through his daughter. I can actually see them bonding, in a wierd way, over this....or not. But I doubt that Guza would do a Tracy-gets-pregnant SL. Why? Because it would have the potential for some serious drama for Tracy, and for Luke. I mean, it's technically possible for her to have a baby at her age, but what are the ramifications? I could see Tracy struggling with the decision of whether or not to terminate the pregnancy...a real consideration for a woman in that position. JE could turn a storyline like that into an Emmy on her mantlepiece given half the chance. Not that she'll get half the chance...no, the slammed into motherhood SL will probably go the way of all other TQ storylines these days. For Laughs. Oy, I'm depressing myself. End Spoiler Talk

Ya'll, I am literally seconds away from tears of utter hysteria. I came home for lunch to do some things and had a few extra seconds. I decided to get a jump start on my latest vid project and put my clip CDs in the D&E drives of my computer. The disk in drive D was fine, but the disk in drive E was completely blank!!!! I mean, I had over 400 megs of clips on that thing! It's possible the disk got switched, because the case was labeled but the disk was not. I'm going to try to search my disks tonight, but if I can't find it, I'm out HOURS AND HOURS of work and--oh, man, I'm just overwrought. MsQ, please check your PMs. I have a proposition for you. Yeah, Tracy Spoilers, thrilled, happy, Guza is an idiot.... *wanders off blankly to finish lunch before returning to work*

Hey, thank you so much--I love the banner sooooo much! Left feedback for the last two chapters of Second Chances. It rocked. I only have one word to say about it--SEQUEL. Hey, that's the one I'm using for the AU story: What if Tracy Q never came back after Edward banished her in 1980. Fey had a WONDERFUL bunny for Challenge #1 which I think I'll steal. I just have to get through this story before I can change gears so completely. Hey, marlandrulez, why not write to Jane at ABC, send her a color copy of the JPG file and ask her if she'd like the original? It can't hurt. Oh, and by the way, you had post #1500. To all of you who frequent other threads on SON, do they all have this much activity? Or are we the poster children for obsessive fandom??? ETA: Page 76!!! Oh, and just a little thing I whipped up in PhotoImpact to celebrate June 4 in my own special way...
