  1. Several of the 'lost generation' cast members in that were very prominent and popular... Cecily stayed a few years too long (although I would guess she wanted to leave in May and Lorne pushed her to stay longer), but she's an absolute gem who could have been a star in just about any period of the show. I hope she has a decent sendoff. I'm surprised it was released this way but that may have been her choice. She's the first woman in 20 years who isn't leaving midseason because of pregnancy.
  2. After Bari Weiss made some teeny, tiny criticisms of Elon Musk, he reacted in exactly the way you'd expect: No more Twitter Files for you, Bari!!!
  3. I know these people were probably too expensive to keep around, but there's no excuse for them not being cast in better roles while they were there. Compare how Kim Hunter was used on Edge (even her one-day stint on ATWT as David Allen's adoptive mother was of better use).
  4. Thanks @Dion . I'm still really out of the loop with this show's history, which I need to work on. The current episodes in of themselves tend to leave me drained (especially this year, with all the Esther melodrama and Maeve's year-long breakdown) so I don't go back a lot.
  5. Someone said there were rumors she and Nick would be joining the show more regularly next year. Do you know if there's any truth to it? Who was that man Esther was with when she was being wheeled out and Marty noticed? Is this her latest new love interest?
  6. Lola's mother.
  7. I feel like she is potentially miscast for her role, but it will be nice to see her again.
  8. Other than the need for Arthur to be outed, and the ensuing misery, the scenes where he came out to Nicola were lovely and moving - Emmerdale at its best. Also good to see the long history between Nicola and Laurel utilized. I was never into this story, that's being kind, but still, I'm very impressed with Natalie Robb's talents.
  9. I thought he did a good job, he just didn't really have a lot to do. He hasn't acted professionally since the '80s, I believe, aside from his EE stints. I give him a lot of credit for that, and also for playing out a story of his husband dying of cancer when his real-life husband died of cancer. Admittedly I'm biased because Colin was one of my favorite characters. The key for me was that last scene with Barry, which was just lovely. Initially I wasn't sure I wanted the characters to be back together because there was a very specific storyline about just why they were not meant to be (the age difference, Colin's fussiness, Barry's fear of being seen as gay, etc.) but hearing that they met up again through social media made sense. Colin being so eager to finally get to kiss him out in the open of Walford, after they had been so scared the last time they lived there together, and Barry's wonderment at it all - just absolutely lovely. I don't mind seeing Lofty and Mary again, as they were such important characters for the early years. My main disappointment was no mention of Nigel. And yes, I didn't really love the part with everyone speaking, or Denise bringing up the Queen, although I could forgive as I'm sure it was hard to write.
  10. Veleka Gray appeared on Y&R in two different roles at the same time, IIRC. Soaps are in no way serious now, sadly, but this isn't why, in my opinion.
  11. Hopefully they won't be killed off. I haven't seen their run.
  12. @Vee One of the most gifted composers of all time. His work on Fire Walk With Me alone never leaves my head.
  13. I knew it. I knew she'd do this [!@#$%^&*]. This is why I would get mad when people would say Georgia didn't matter because Democrats had the majority. She's completely selfish and untrustworthy to the core. If Warnock had lost I think she would have switched to the GOP.
  14. Don't think I'd ever seen this one. That Hazel is a trip, especially the mirror scene. @Paul Raven @dc11786 @soapfan770 @victoria foxton @Vee @slick jones @SoapDope
  15. @Vee I can't believe that article first came out this year. Feels like so much longer. I see that she is still playing victim, claiming she did all this because people weren't supportive enough of her knee surgery. People only felt sorry for Nancy Kerrigan for about three months, I'm not sure what the hell she expected.
  16. Angela Lansbury interview about midway through this. I did not realize just how close she was to ending Murder She Wrote at this point.
