  1. Rest in peace.

  3. I think Emmerdale has been trying harder than EE of late, but trying doesn't matter when the end result is mostly poor, outside of a few scenes.
  4. She probably just figures anyone can return from the dead on a soap (and it's not like AW is going to return, much as I wish it would). I wonder sometimes how she must have felt when Jake was moved away from Paulina for good, romantically, especially as this was around the time she had gained weight due to her pregnancy. I've been going through old tapes to get rid of - a lot of AW Soapnet episodes, no hidden treasures, sadly - and was reminded once again of how much I connected with Cali Timmins as Paulina. Wonderful as Judi was, if I had been watching AW in those years, consecutively, I think I would have had a really hard time accepting Judi in the part. (going through them also reminds me of just what a fantastic cast AW had in the late '80s and early '90s)
  5. This is so heartbreaking. How I'll always remember her. Coco deserved better, and so did Irene:
  6. I think it's a mix of some fans who have passionate loyalty to him, people who have a persecution complex and are glad he's mainstreaming their own paranoias, and right wingers who are using him for one of the top goals (further dividing blacks and Jews).
  7. This rings alarm bells on just how far Nate Silver has gone to the right, and how dangerous it is that he is still seen as such an authority by the media:
  8. @I Am A Swede It seems Meg Wynn Owen of Upstairs Downstairs passed this summer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meg_Wynn_Owen
  9. David Sirota continues to be one of the smuggest, most patronizing pieces of [!@#$%^&*] around. Speaking of pieces of [!@#$%^&*].
  10. @Vee I've kept hoping something was being saved to show up around the anniversary, similar to the 50th, but it's so hard to not get burned. We'll hope for the best.
  11. I hope not, but with the ongoing efforts to shut down early voting, the general malaise of the holiday season, the talking point that Democrats don't "need" this seat, etc. it's going to be very close. Hopefully his sheer, dangerous stupidity will be enough to motivate.
  12. Elon Twitter is trying to hide some of her ugliness, apparently (tweets that show her alleged ties to Nazis suddenly "violating Twitter rules," but, anyway:
  13. That there's a good chance he'll win is terrifying.
  14. Thanks. Boy that does break your heart.
  15. Maga, of course.
  16. This guy is, the shooter, the killer, is going to be made into a martyr and a hero. You can already see the wheels turning. Oh and JK Rowling is also happy to enable accounts that set this in motion:
