Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
This looks excellent! I also love the graphic update. The one thing about the trailer that really stood out to me is how much Marysol and Adriana carry it, yet they’re friends. I’ll never understand that. Especially over Lisa, who I feel could perfectly fits the role of a Friend. Still, I’m excited and happy to see they’ve delivered a quality product! I hope this is a success and leads to more Miami and more Housewives in general for Peacock.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
The saddest part is that even if a lapsed viewer tunes in, you won’t see Victor or Nikki actually doing anything. For all his faults, I think it’s smart how Ron keeps the vets working. I mean who ever expected to see a 96 year old top the monthly episode rankings? There is a way to use the older characters in meaningful and impactful ways while building the younger generations. That’s one of the many things Josh Griffith doesn’t understand.

Days of Our Lives: November 2021 Discussion Thread
When Eileen returned to play Susan for Will’s return from the dead, she really spoiled me when it came to Susan. Yes she was playing Susan, but I felt like she humanized her as a mother who lost her son. Even the way she dressed felt more believable to me. Stacey I feel only plays the comedic elements and doesn’t give Susan any depth or heart. She is meant as comic relief and that’s all you’re getting.

B&B: Bold from the beginning
I’m at the end of August. They’re knee deep into the Caroline rape story and Stephanie has just discovered that Brooke is the woman Eric has been having an affair with! How funny that their first confrontation is a misunderstanding!! One thing I’ve loved about 1987 is that they keep rotating the focus so even though you’re waiting for long term pay offs, the show still has things going on. It’s very well paced and unfolding like a page turning book. Bill Bell did a great job when you consider he was also at the helm of Y&R at the same time.

How many years y’all clocking her for? My guess is 6-8 for wasting the feds time with this trial.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I just finished the RHOM season 3 reunion and the reason the show went on hiatus is now clear to me. I looked at the ratings and Andy said it was canceled because the ratings kept declining as the season went on. In reality they did have a dip in the middle, but the second half the ratings went up and it was pretty consistent. I think the show got canceled because the cast was so divided and it was too dark. There is no way they could've gone forward without doing another reboot. The biggest disappointment of the season is that Adriana, the star, pulled a Jill Zarin and centered her storyline on a feud with Lea which destroyed her likability. Lea was upset that Adriana lied for 5 years about being married and she had valid reasons to feel that way. Adriana refused to admit or take accountability (until the reunion) and decided to somehow make it Lea's fault. She did eventually apologize, but like Jill, it was too little too late. I was SHOCKED when Lea pulled out a check for $15,000 that she paid to make sure Adriana's son stayed in school. In addition to that she raised $410,000 to clear the school's debt so Adriana's son could continue at the school without having to pay again. Adriana admitted it, but she was so nasty about it and sounded so ungrateful. Lea had receipts for being a good friend and she threw that away for nothing. The other big wrinkle is that Lisa and Joanna fell out and Lisa was the one binding the two sides of the group together. Then you have Mama Elsa not being able to film and Marysol also becoming unlikable with a random feud with Lea. It was just a hot mess express all around. I'm glad Lea isn't returning. She gave a lot to this franchise, but after this season I wouldn't even do a cameo.

GENERAL HOSPITAL November 2021 Discussion Thread
Cameron Mathison just beat cancer so it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't want to put himself at a risk for covid. Another telling scene is when Diane and Alexis met up. I noticed everybody else hugged Alexis, but with Diane it was more of a look but they didn't touch.

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
I was stunned to see how flawed Eric and Ridge were from day one. It actually made me like both characters more, although I do think they have more depth and motivation for their actions in these 1987 episodes. Stephanie is another big shock to me. In the beginning the cast has a lot of green actors and some duds and Susan Flannery elevates every scene and often goes beyond the page. I feel like her casting is critical to the show working. Stephanie is also easier to understand now seeing her backstory. You get the sense that other peoples actions truly did drive her to becoming as assertive as she became. The one character I find I like LESS is Brooke. I was under the impression she met Ridge randomly. I didn't know she went out of her way to befriend Caroline and try to steal Ridge away from her. I just got to Caroline's rape and it's just unfathomable to me that she is the best friend who came to support her during this low point in her life and later she'll go on to steal her man.

Married to Medicine
I believe the list is: Heavenly, Jackie, Simone, Toya, Cone-tessa, Kari, Quad, Anila, 1 new girl. Heavenly has confirmed that Quad got her stethoscope back, but I feel they won't have 8 official wives, so who would get demoted to make room for Quad? I also am praying this is the season we get ride of Cone-tessa full time. I'm so tired of her stupid made up storyline with Scott. Then another wrinkle is that I've noticed Kari's husband is filming again, so I'm wondering if maybe she got upgraded.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
All Stars was miles better than I expected, especially with this cast. It seemed like they selected a safe bunch, but in retrospect they picked a proven bunch that they knew would deliver and who are popular enough to get people to sample the series. It's funny that on RHOA Cynthia is considered safe and boring, but she's a star here. On the other hand, Kyle is sliding into the background which proves that the Beverly Hills ladies just can't hold their own with the other franchises. I feel like if they're smart they'll keep cranking these out or try to find other Housewives content to add. This has been an exciting time for Peacock. They just need to get Miami right next. I'm still doing my Miami rewatch and I'm almost done with season 3. I didn't realize, but I have never seen season three. I don't recall anything beyond what I saw in the trailers. I hate soap weddings (I find them boring) so I think seeing the trailer centered around *two* weddings turned me off. I'm glad I gave it a go because it actually isn't that bad. I expected it to be boring since it's the season that killed the franchise, but the production values remain high, the relationships have grown deeper and there's lots of great drama and family moments. I've loved the mini trips to LA and Texas as well! It is a slightly more intimate cast, but it still works. The worst thing is the Everybody vs Lea aspect. Adriana vs Lea was a bad move on Adriana's part and two seasons of it and I still don't understand Marysol's issue with Lea. Marysol is having a TERRIBLE season. I understand Mama Elsa was sick, but she's pulling an Erika and coming off more mean and negative when this should be a great time for her to build sympathy.

Married to Medicine
@TaoboiI'm really excited for this next season! Did you hear Heavenly suggest somebody tried to fight her?! They always deliver so I'm not worried, but very curious who the full time cast will be. They have like 9 girls filming!

Peacock Announces ‘Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas’ Holiday Movie
Errol, I wish you’d move this to the Discuss the Soaps or Spoiler forum so more people can see this article! Beyond that, I’m very excited for this! Clearly Beyond Salem did well and hopefully this means they’ll lean into more Days and soap content. If they want recurring subscribers they need to find a classic soap people can stream. I also love that Will is the center of this movie. The gay characters were definitely the biggest highlight of Beyond Salem so I’m hoping for more Leo and nuSonny! It’ll be devastating if Freddie Smith decides to return.

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
Honestly, the stuff with the vault doesn't surprise me. There is a twitter page devoted to it and I believe the person who runs it is who posts on twitter talking about each time they upload episodes. It was bout to get blown up now that B&B is trying to monetize it. I just hope for the Y&R stuff it can be saved, but considering they are uploading the B&B stuff, I'd try to avoid posting anything from that show.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Rumors have been swirling that OC isn't good this season, but I was very impressed with that trailer. It reminds me of the older seasons of OC. There is so light drama, it looks beautiful and the cast seems to have chemistry. I'm excited by the two newbies and even Emily and Gina didn't seem to bother me. I think OC will be a nice, light watch which could lead into a powerful season 17. Especially after how heavy RHOBH was, it'll be nice to see an easy watch. BTW, some RHOBH tea from Tamara Tattles: https://tamaratattles.com/2021/11/10/exclusive-rhobh-tea-including-erika-girardis-actual-salary/ For one, Erika's salary was $68,000 per episode and she made around $1.6 million the entire season. The craziest part? That was her regular salary and had nothing to do with the Tom scandal. It's insane to me that she makes so much when she usually brings nothing to the show! The other big tidbit is that Dorit was *not* offered a contract to return as a HW. She only was brought back when she got robbed and her final role is up in the air. I'm sorry, but you can't convince me that robbery is legit. It has so many red flags.

Y&R - RIP Jerry Douglas (John Abbott)
Such sad news! He was a charming man and the perfect head for the Abbott family. He had chemistry with everybody young and old and he deserved more time on the show.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
They offered her Girls Trip season two and she turned it down which I hate. That would’ve been the perfect segue into season 7! Plus her saying no meant we got stuck with Eva on an otherwise perfect cast.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Candiace has the same issue as Erika Jayne, she isn't likable. She was a spoiled brat and wasn't popular with the audience before the Monique fight, so fans didn't feel sympathy for her afterwards. Some of the cast members faked sympathy to get rid of Monique, but as we saw this past season, none of them really liked Candiace, which is her problem going into next season. The cast, Bravo and Andy don't like her and would've preferred Monique. The problem is that Monique doesn't need the money so it's up to her wanting to return which is up in the air.

GH: Rumors regarding the vaccine mandate
It’s funny how it too so many different scandals and so many major outlets picking it up for GH to finally make a comment. These soaps are trash when it comes to issues like this. They always ignore these stories until it blows up.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
I remember Jeremy but I don’t think I paid attention to who his parents were at the time. That’s so odd to me! Major character for 20+ years and he has an established son who I imagine is in his 30s-40s and they just don’t seem to exist. I feel like the show lacks Horton’s and that would be an easy fix. I wonder if Ron knows they exist.
-
GH: Rumors regarding the vaccine mandate
It’s been so long since he’s had a storyline that they could’ve written him off long ago and used the bloated cast/lack of story for the official reason.

GH: Rumors regarding the vaccine mandate
I wonder how he’s survived so long with all this bad press. His racist comments were last year and he kept his job.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
I didn’t start watching Days until the 2000s so I was wondering who this is? I haven’t heard him mentioned and I always assumed Carrie was involved with Austin only in the 90s. Is he still alive? It just seems odd to me that Jennifer is his sister and if he’s Carrie’s age (which I don’t get based on those pictures) then you’d think they’d have him come back with kids or something. Is it a case of a problematic actor so they just ignore him ala Jason Brooks?
