ARTICLE: 'General Hospital' Star Kirsten Storms Responds to Untruths, Speculations and Rumors
In response to her video announcement on Monday night, where it was revealed she’ll be taking an extended break from “General Hospital” while preparing a move to Tennessee with her daughter, actress Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) took to the comments section of her Instagram post to clear up inaccuracies and additional rumors that have continued to spread, including fans not believing she’ll return after her break concludes in a few months, with Storms noting her situation differs from former co-star Chad Duell, whose Michael Corinthos character was later recast with Rory Gibson, since the actor chose not to renew his contract. When a fan stated in the comments, “You will be missed. Your replacement made her debut the other day and I have to say, it wasn’t the best choice. I fast forwarded through her scenes,” Storms quickly put to bed any rumors of the show recasting her character during her absence. “No replacement while I’m gone, but I won’t say more than that for storyline purposes,” Storms confirmed. They had to bring a replacement in on a day I was sick. My last few episodes haven’t aired yet,” said Storms, referring to the show temporarily recasting Maxie with “Hope & Faith” star Nicole Paggi. In a follow-up post, Storms responded to another fan who claimed that the show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, “also told Chad he could return when he was ready and we see what happened just a few weeks later. I hope you return because no one else can come close to your performance as Maxie.” Storms shut down the untruths in the poster’s comment, saying, “I apologize in advance, but these types of comments really bother me. People assume they know things that have happened on set/with ‘GH’ actors because they read some anonymous blog post.” She added, “Then somehow Frank gets blamed for a fictional situation that a random person (not associated with ‘GH’) most likely made up as they were typing it. Frank does not come on social media and start throwing people under the bus to clear up these undeserved - and often incredibly mean - lies. He could absolutely throw shade at actors that made major mistakes or caused problems. Instead he works to make sure 'General Hospital' continues to air.” “For the record, Chad *chose* to completely leave the show,” continued Storms. “No one at ABC gave away ‘his’ job - he told them he didn’t want it anymore when he said he wasn’t going to resign his contract. I’m still under contract and have every intention of returning when the break (I was fortunate enough to be granted) is over.” On Monday, Storms announced that she is moving to Tennessee with Harper, her daughter she shares with Brandon Barash (“Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital”). “I’m very excited to be making Tennessee my home! I can’t wait to return to ‘GH,’ once Harper and I are settled in our new town. I plan on documenting as much of this new journey on my social media as I can,” said Storms in the caption of her Instagram post. “It’s always been a dream of mine to move to a place like this; it’s hard to believe it’s really happening.” As for when fans can expect her back on screen, she said in her video message, “The week before last week. I had my final taping day for the year.” It’s possible I will be back in December, maybe November. I promise you the storyline they have going on until my return to Port Charles is kind of incredible – you guys are going to freak out, actually – can’t wait to see the comments online about that.” ----- This article first appeared on Soap Opera Network.

ARTICLE: Joel Sartore, Nat Geo Explorer and Photo Ark Founder, Returns to 'General Hospital'
In honor of their joining the National Geographic Photo Ark as the initiatives 17,000th milestone species, the birds-of-paradise – distinctly known for their mesmerizing colors across the rainbow, intricate mating rituals and their extravagant feathers – are set to be featured in the Thursday, July 10 episode of ABC’s “General Hospital,” with National Geographic Explorer and Photo Ark founder Joel Sartore returning to the series as himself to unveil photos of the species as part of a scene at the fictional Jerome Gallery. “Birds-of-paradise are truly living works of art, with their stunning colors, alluring shapes and unique mating behaviors. Yet, their habitats are increasingly under threat from manmade and environmental pressures,” Sartore said in a statement. "We preserve works of art in museums around the world. Don’t these birds — and all of the species we’ve documented through the Photo Ark — deserve our protection too?” National Geographic/Photo Ark The appearance on “General Hospital” brings into focus the vibrant family of birds that are facing threats to its habitat in Indo-Pacific rainforests, with the birds photographed during Sartore's recent trip to the island of New Guinea which boasts one of the most biodiverse tropical rainforests remaining on Earth, and is one of three tropical “megaforests” in addition to the Amazon and the Congo. The mission of the National Geographic Photo Ark is to utilize the power of photography to inspire people to help protect species before it’s too late. Sartore aims to photograph approximately 25,000 species living in the world’s zoos, aquariums and wildlife sanctuaries. Joel Sartore, Kathy Sartore, Tabyana Ali, Brook Kerr Christine Bartolucci/Disney “We can all take collective action to support and preserve species and their habitats, both near and far. When we work to save one species, we can save them all — that’s the beauty, and sometimes peril, of the interconnectedness of wildlife biodiversity,” notes Sartore who will share scenes with several “General Hospital” actors during his appearance including Braedyn Bruner (Emma Scorpio-Drake), Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio), Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson), Brook Kerr (Portia Robinson) and Maura West (Ava Jerome), as well as his real-life wife, Kathy Sartore, among others. Joel Sartore, Kathy Sartore, Kristina Wagner, Braedyn Bruner Christine Bartolucci/Disney The Sartores previously appeared in a November 2021 episode of the daytime drama series, and once again connects him to the Trina Robinson character, previously portrayed by Sydney Mikayla. ARTICLE: 'The Young and the Restless' Star Eric Braeden Explains How He Landed on Soaps (EXCLUSIVE)
In the premiere episode of the audio and video podcast series “Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart,” hosts Rebecca Budig (“The Bold and the Beautiful,” “All My Children”) and Greg Rikaart (“The Young and the Restless,” “Days of our Lives”) sat down with their first guest, “The Young and the Restless” star Eric Braeden (Victor Newman). In an exclusive clip released to Soap Opera Network, Braeden reveals how the late Dabney Coleman (“9 to 5,” “Tootsie”) played a part in his decision to meet with CBS executives and notes that he was initially only supposed to do three months on the show, but it ended up becoming a long-lasting career in daytime television that has since spanned more than 45 years. Watch the exclusive clip of Braeden on “Soapy” below. In another clip, Braeden points out the difference between working on a soap and other genres, including primetime and theater work. “People have no idea. Nighttime actors, theater actors… I’ve done it all, have no clue what we do. None,” responds Braeden, who adds that working in movies like “Titanic” and other television genres can be “bloody boring” compared to working on soaps after being asked by Rikaart to explain the difference. Eric Braeden CBS “You [both] know we make very few friends doing a soap because you have no time to get to know each other. I remember all the friends I did nighttime with: ‘100 Rifles’ with Burt Reynolds, Jim Brown, Raquel [Welch]; [‘Escape from the] Planet of the Apes,’ ‘Colossus.’ I knew them all for years because you sit and you bull$#*%ur. You have time in between scenes while they’re lighting the stuff. [In soaps] you have no time for that. None. You come on the set, you work. Boom.” Aptly titled “Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart,” the podcast features lively, nostalgic conversations with beloved past and present stars and creatives from across the entire soap opera community and all networks and platforms, including daytime and primetime. From unforgettable storylines to behind-the-scenes insights, the series celebrates the genre’s rich history, passionate fanbase and the talent that continues to bring these iconic stories to life. Premiering on the network’s official YouTube Channel, with all-new episodes dropping every Tuesday through September 30, the podcast will take a deep dive into the legacy, fandom and enduring appeal of soap operas. Subsequent episodes releasing in July include interviews with Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans, “Days of our Lives”), Sheila Ducksworth (Executive Producer, “Beyond the Gates”) and Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair, “The Young and the Restless”). “We decided, since we knew each other so well, that we should interview all the people that we know, and people that we don’t know, in this genre,” said Budig, introducing the first episode. Chiming in, Rikaart noted, the podcast was also a way to “celebrate our genre, coming from a place of love and reverence, and respect, for the incredibly challenging, hard and fun work that we get to do in daytime soaps.” Additional episodes will include interviews with Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos, “General Hospital”), Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore, “The Young and the Restless”), Marc Cherry (Creator, “Desperate Housewives”), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Eva LaRue (Natalia Ramirez, “General Hospital”), Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin, “The Young and the Restless”), Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, “General Hospital”), Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree, “Beyond the Gates”), Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman, “The Young and the Restless”), Heather Tom (Katie Logan, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree, “Beyond the Gates”). In addition to YouTube, episodes will also be available on all other major podcast platforms, including Audacy, Spotify and Apple. Produced by the Paramount Multiplatform Production Group, “Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart” is executive produced by Mike Benson. Andrew Pemberton-Fowler serves as producer. The first episode of “Soapy,” featuring Eric Braeden as a guest, can be watched below. This article first appeared on Soap Opera Network.

ARTICLE: Denise Richards' Husband, Aaron Phypers, Files For Divorce
Denise Richards (“The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”) and her husband, Aaron Phypers, are getting divorced, with Phypers filing the paperwork on Monday in Los Angeles, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason, with their separation date listed as July 4, 2025. According to TMZ, Phypers is “seeking spousal support from Denise ... he estimates she's grossing over $250,000 a month from OnlyFans, TV, brand deals and appearances ... and he says he has no income.” In the filing, it was revealed that the family's average monthly expenses were $105,000 a month, including $20,000 on clothes, $18,000 on rent, $15,000 on dining out, $15,000 on entertainment, $10,000 on groceries and another $8,000 on utilities, with Richards “footing the bill.” Meanwhile, he is asking the court to confirm property he claims to solely own, particularly, “power tools, a 2018 Indian Dark Horse motorcycle and a Ford Shelby GT500.” Richards and Phypers were married on September 8, 2018, and would be the second divorce for both as Richards was previously married to actor Charlie Sheen (“Two and a Half Men”) and Phypers was married to actress Nicollette Sheridan (“Desperate Housewives,” “Knots Landing”). Earlier this year, Richards and Phypers starred in a new Bravo reality series called “Denise Richards and Her Wild Things,” a half-hour comedic docuseries that Richards also executive produced, which gave viewers an inside look at her complicated and unpredictable family life. Her daughters, Sami Sheen, Lola Sheen and Eloise Richards, were also featured. During a 2021 appearance on “The Talk,” Richard said her marriage to Phypers “has shown us what we're both made of. And it's been a beautiful blessing because I have a beautiful partner and we can go through anything together.” On “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Richards portrayed Shauna Fulton, a fun-loving, hard-working, single mother from Las Vegas who got romantically entangled with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), among others. ARTICLE: DeMarco Morgan Out As Co-Anchor of 'GMA3,' Exits ABC News
Following today’s announcement that Eva Pilgrim would be exiting as co-anchor of “GMA3” to join the CBS Media Ventures distributed “Inside Edition” as the newsmagazine’s new anchor in the fall, ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic announced in an internal memo that co-anchor DeMarco Morgan would also be departing the news program and the network altogether. “He has decided to begin a new journey and will be departing ABC News,” said Karamehmedovic in a memo to staffers. The departure of Morgan and Pilgrim confirms earlier reports that the network was seeking a change in front of the camera for the struggling third hour of “Good Morning America,” with sources telling the New York Post, “‘GMA3’ won’t be there at the end of the summer,” though it’s likely they meant the anchors of the program rather than the program itself. "GMA3" ABC In June, ABC unveiled a rebranded “GMA3,” formally dropping “What You Need to Know” from the title, and introduced new and familiar faces as part of a rotating list of co-anchors in the hopes of turning things around for the ratings-challenged program. Simone Swink was named as the show’s new executive producer following the departure of Catherine McKenzie, who had been executive producer of the third hour since the current iteration’s debut in 2020, after McKenzie was among those let go earlier this year after a network purge that included the entire staff of “GMA3.” As a result, “Good Morning America” and “GMA3” now share staff in every department, with Swink also overseeing things across all other “GMA” branded programming. Reportedly, the network’s immediate plan for the program includes utilizing members of the morning show’s “extended family” as rotating co-anchors, such as Rebecca Jarvis, Will Reeve, Gio Benitez, Sam Champion, Rachel Scott and James Longman, among others. Rebecca Jarvis, Will Reeve, Rhiannon Ally, Ginger Zee, Dr. Tara Narula Heidi Gutman/ABC During the week of June 23-27, 2025, ratings for “GMA3” topped its afternoon news competition – “NBC News Daily” (1.081 million) – among Total Viewers and in the key demos, while staying close to year ago levels across the board among Total Viewers (1.275 million vs. 1.291 million), Households (0.8 rating vs. 0.9 rating), Women 18-49 (0.15 rating vs. 0.16 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.22 rating vs. 0.25 rating). ----- This article first appeared on Soap Opera Network.

ARTICLE: Soap Star Jon Lindstrom Announces New Novel 'Hollywood Payback'
Following up on the success of his debut novel, “Hollywood Hustle,” soap star Jon Lindstrom (“Beyond the Gates,” “General Hospital”) recently announced the next title in the series, “Hollywood Payback,” which is available for pre-order at all major bookstores, including Barnes & Noble, and is set for release on March 10, 2026. The new book follows a struggling Hollywood actor who falls into a life of crime. “Ever want a little payback? Now's your chance,” teased Lindstrom in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “My new book ‘HOLLYWOOD PAYBACK’ is coming! July 8-11 Pre-order @BNBuzz for 25% off. Use code: PREORDER25 to get your discount and be among the 1st to get some #PAYBACK when it drops Mar 10.” According to an official synopsis, the new book follows Jake Ferguson, who, 20 years ago, threw his life away. Once a promising Hollywood actor, he crashed and burned the usual way: with coke, booze, and pills. When that path reached its inevitable end, he made a desperate choice, and an innocent woman was killed. Before being convicted and shipped to Folsom Prison, Jake agreed to testify against his partners-in-crime as the star witness for the prosecution. Now Jake’s reentering society—coming home to an LA he no longer recognizes and to a life that has lost all meaning. Then he meets Carla, a waitress who understands him better than he expects, and he begins to believe deliverance may be possible after all. Until one night, a murder is committed right in front of him, and Jake knows he’s been set up. With authorities closing in and more lives on the line, there’s only one way out, for himself and the people he cares about: revenge. "Hollywood Hustle" (Book Cover) Courtesy of Crooked Lane Books “Hollywood Payback” is the second novel written by Lindstrom following last year’s release of “Hollywood Hustle.” Earlier this year, it was announced that the novel will be adapted into a feature film with Lindstrom set as an executive producer on the project from financier, producer and distributor AETH Entertainment. Set in the dark underbelly of the Hollywood scene, “Hollywood Hustle” is a propulsive and tense thriller set in the seedier side of Los Angeles, where it depicts the bold prose of an insider named Winston Greene, a has-been film star who wakes one morning to find his six-year-old granddaughter at his bedside—traumatized, unattended, and gripping onto a thumb drive. She comes bearing video proof that her mother, Winston’s troubled adult daughter, has been kidnapped by a murderous gang demanding all his “movie money” for her safe return. But they don’t know it’s all gone, long gone. Unable to go to the police for fear the kidnappers will make good on their promise to kill his daughter, Winston turns to two close friends—a legendary Hollywood stuntman and a disgraced former LAPD detective who used to consult on Win’s cop films. There’s no easy way out for Winston or his daughter—the gang is violent and willing to do anything to get the money they’re after, and Winston begins to realize that to get his daughter back, he’ll have to beat the kidnappers at their own game. “From the opening pages, ‘Hollywood Hustle’ grabs you and doesn’t let go — it’s a natural fit for an electrifying cinematic experience,” AETH Entertainment CEO Eric Woods said in a statement at the time. “So much of my career has been spent in and around the film industry, and I wanted Hollywood Hustle to capture the look and feel of that world behind the camera that most people don’t see,” said Lindstrom. “I’ve had the chance to play so many great characters imagined by other writers. It’s going to be a thrill to see the characters I created come to life on the screen.” Like “Hollywood Hustle,” the new novel is also being released by publisher Crooked Lane Books and will feature approximately 70 more pages of thrills. https://twitter.com/thejonlindstrom/status/1942223763044446251 ----- This article first appeared on Soap Opera Network.

ARTICLE: Eva Pilgrim Named Anchor of 'Inside Edition,' Exits ABC News' 'GMA3'
Eva Pilgrim is exiting ABC News, where she served as Senior National Correspondent and co-anchor of “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” to become the new anchor of the syndicated newsmagazine “Inside Edition,” it was announced on Monday. Deborah Norville CBS Media Ventures/INSIDE EDITION Pilgrim succeeds Deborah Norville, who recently departed after 30 years, and will make her debut in the fall. “We feel like we won the jackpot to have Eva join our team as the next anchor of ‘Inside Edition,’” said executive producer Charles Lachman. “She has solid news chops from her years as a reporter and anchor in national and local news, plus a warm relatability that resonates with audiences. We look forward to having a journalist of her caliber take ‘Inside Edition’ into its next chapter.” “Anchoring ‘Inside Edition’ is truly a dream job,” Pilgrim said. “I have been an avid viewer and fan of the show for many years. I’m pinching myself that I get to work with this amazing team. It’s truly an honor to join a show with such a long, rich history.” Pilgrim’s departure from the recently rebranded “GMA3” to join “Inside Edition” officially puts to rest questions about her future at the program, which had been struggling in the ratings. Earlier this year, it was reported that Pilgrim and her co-anchor DeMarco Morgan were likely to be replaced at the program by the end of the summer as the news division sought to turn things around at the ratings-challenged third hour of “Good Morning America.” In late June, Rebecca Jarvis and Will Reeve began appearing as co-anchors of “GMA3,” with both Pilgrim and Morgan noticeably absent. Ranked as the #1 syndicated newsmagazine and consistently in the top 5 first-run syndicated programs overall, “Inside Edition” is a daily newsmagazine that has built its success by presenting a compelling mix of hard-hitting investigations, exclusive newsmaker interviews and incisive human-interest stories. The series is currently in its 37th season. Produced daily by Inside Edition Inc. and distributed by CBS Media Ventures. Charles Lachman is the executive producer. ----- This article first appeared on Soap Opera Network.

ARTICLE: 'General Hospital' Star Kirsten Storms Reveals Extended Break from Soap Opera
In a post shared on Instagram, “General Hospital” star Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) announced that she is moving to Tennessee with Harper, her daughter she shares with Brandon Barash (“Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital”), while also addressing her recent absence from Port Charles, those pesky online rumors and when fans can expect her back full-time as she takes an extended break from the daytime drama series. “I’m very excited to be making Tennessee my home! I can’t wait to return to ‘GH,’ once Harper and I are settled in our new town. I plan on documenting as much of this new journey on my social media as I can,” said Storms in the post's caption. “It’s always been a dream of mine to move to a place like this; it’s hard to believe it’s really happening.” In an accompanying video, she said, “First. I meant to post this video a few weeks ago, and time just got away from me, but in March, I asked Frank Valentini, our amazing executive producer … I had a conversation with him about my reasons for wanting to move, and my desire to not leave the show.” “Now, when you approach a job like this, they can always be like ‘forget it. We’re gonna let you out of your contract if you’re going to leave the state,’” Storms continued, noting the soap opera opted not to do that, “Which was kind of amazing because I also asked for some time off.” Temporary Exit / Expected Return On screen, last week viewers were shocked to see a different, yet familiar face in the role of Maxie Jones on the ABC soap, with Nicole Paggi temporarily filling in for Storms for at least three episodes, the second of which will air later this month, with Storms returning on screen in mid-August. However, it looks like Storms will be off-screen for an extended period thereafter. “The week before last week. I had my final taping day for the year,” revealed Storms in her video. “It’s possible I will be back in December, maybe November. I promise you the storyline they have going on until my return to Port Charles is kind of incredible – you guys are going to freak out, actually - can’t wait to see the comments online about that!" Special Thanks Storms' video continued with her thanking those behind the scenes at “General Hospital” and ABC, saying, “I really want to thank ‘GH,’ the ABC network executives, the writers for agreeing to let me take this time. I know Frank and the producers there know my reasons, and I am so grateful that they understand and are supportive.” Rumor Has It... Closing out her video message, Storms touched upon recent rumors that have been spreading online about her personal life, which up to now she had not publicly addressed. “Really quick about the online rumors, and I’ll get into some of this stuff at a later date,” Storms stared. “This is just me very long windedly explaining that I’m taking a break and moving to Tennessee. If you don’t read about it or watch a video on it from my page, take it with a grain of salt. People like to say a whole bunch of stuff.” Watch Storms’ video message below. https://www.instagram.com/p/DL09dFDRy2I/ ----- This article first appeared on Soap Opera Network.

ARTICLE: Soap Stars Rebecca Budig & Greg Rikaart Explain Idea Behind 'Soapy' Podcast
As previously reported, CBS is set to launch a brand new soap opera-focused audio and video podcast on Tuesday, July 8, hosted by veteran soap stars Rebecca Budig (“The Bold and the Beautiful,” “All My Children”) and Greg Rikaart (“The Young and the Restless,” “Days of our Lives”). Aptly titled “Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart,” the podcast will feature lively, nostalgic conversations with beloved past and present stars and creatives from across the entire soap opera community and all networks and platforms, including daytime and primetime. From unforgettable storylines to behind-the-scenes insights, the series celebrates the genre’s rich history, passionate fanbase and the talent that continues to bring these iconic stories to life. In teaser clips released ahead of the premiere, Budig and Rikaart explain why they chose to launch the podcast while joking around about their extensive time on soaps, particularly Rikaart jabbing that Budig has been on soaps for more than 100 years compared to his 23. “We decided, since we knew each other so well, that we should interview all the people that we know, and people that we don’t know, in this genre,” revealed Budig, referring to her long-time friendship with Rikaart. Chiming in, Rikaart noted, the podcast was also a way to “celebrate our genre, coming from a place of love and reverence, and respect, for the incredibly challenging, hard and fun work that we get to do in daytime soaps.” Premiering on the network’s official YouTube Channel, with all-new episodes dropping every Tuesday through September 30, the podcast will take a deep dive into the legacy, fandom and enduring appeal of soap operas. The first episode features an interview with Eric Braeden (Victor Newman, “The Young and the Restless”), who Rikaart notes is a champion of the genre, while also revealing his admiration for the legendary star. Eric Braeden CBS "People have no idea. Nighttime actors, theater actors... I've done it all, have no clue what we do. None," responds Braeden, who adds that working in movies like "Titanic" and other television genres can be "bloody boring" compared to working on soaps after being asked by Rikaart to explain the difference. "You [both] know we make very few friends doing a soap because you have no time to get to know each other. I remember all the friends I did nighttime with: '100 Rifles' with Burt Reynolds, Jim Brown, Raquel [Welch]; ['Escape from the] Planet of the Apes,' 'Colossus.' I knew them all for years because you sit and you bull$#*%ur. You have time in between scenes while they're lighting the stuff. [In soaps] you have no time for that. None. You come on the set, you work. Boom." Subsequent episodes set to release in July include interviews with Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans, "Days of our Lives”), Sheila Ducksworth (Executive Producer, “Beyond the Gates”) and Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair, “The Young and the Restless”). Additional episodes will include interviews with Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos, “General Hospital”), Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore, “The Young and the Restless”), Marc Cherry (Creator, “Desperate Housewives”), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Eva LaRue (Natalia Ramirez, “General Hospital”), Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin, “The Young and the Restless”), Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, “General Hospital”), Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree, “Beyond the Gates”), Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman, “The Young and the Restless”), Heather Tom (Katie Logan, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree, “Beyond the Gates”). The first four interview schedules are as follows: Tuesday, July 8 – Eric Braeden Tuesday, July 15 – Deidre Hall Tuesday, July 22 – Sheila Ducksworth Tuesday, July 29 – Lauralee Bell Check out video clips from the premiere episode of “Soapy” below. ARTICLE: Jackée Harry Lands Guest Starring Role on Netflix Comedy 'A Man on the Inside'
“Days of our Lives” star Jackée Harry (Paulina Price-Carver) will appear as a guest star on the Netflix comedy “A Man on the Inside,” starring Ted Danson (“Cheers”), when it returns for Season 2 later this year on the streaming service. While details on the character she’ll be playing are being kept under wraps, Deadline, which first reported the news, says that Harry could return for more episodes should the show be renewed for a third season. Based on the documentary “The Mole Agent,” which received an Oscar nomination in 2021 for Best Documentary Feature, the series follows retiree Charles (Danson), who gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a PI and becomes a mole in a secret investigation. Per Deadline, Season 2 of the show will follow an anthology format with Charles tackling a new case each season. In Season 2, he’ll go undercover at a college as a guest lecturer, something first teased in the Season 1 finale. Besides Harry, the upcoming season’s cast also include such names as Constance Marie (“With Love”), David Strathairn (“The Bourne Legacy”), Gary Cole (“NCIS”), Jason Mantzoukas (“Taskmaster”), Jill Talley (“Mr. Show”), Linda Park (“Bosch”), Lisa Gilroy (“Interior Chinatown”), Madison Hu (“The Brothers Sun”), Max Greenfield (“The Neighborhood”), Michaela Conlin (“Bones”) and Sam Huntington (“Superman Returns”). Danson’s real-life wife, Mary Steenburgen, is also joining the cast in a lead role, playing Mona Margadoff, a former musician who factors heavily in the case Charles is trying to solve. No more details are being provided, but I hear Mona is a professor at the college Charles will be investigating in Season 2 and there might be sparks between them. Season 1 of “A Man on the Inside” spent its first five weeks since release in the Top 10 of Netflix’s most popular English-language TV shows list. Danson received Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for his role, and the show was named one of the American Film Institute’s top TV programs of the year in 2024. In addition to creator Mike Schur, executive producers for Season 2 include Morgan Sackett and David Miner from 3 Arts Entertainment, Maite Alberdi and Marcela Santibañez from Micromundo Producciones, and Julie Goldman and Christopher Clements from Motto Pictures. Harry made her television debut in 1983 in the role of Lily Mason on “Another World.” She remained with the soap until 1986, working simultaneously on “227” as her iconic character Sandra Clark. Both series aired on NBC. ----- This article first appeared on Soap Opera Network.

ARTICLE: J. Eddie Peck Exits 'The Young and the Restless' As Cole Howard
J. Eddie Peck concluded his run as Cole Howard on “The Young and the Restless” after his character failed to respond to treatment for Legionnaires’ disease and passed away on the Thursday, July 3 episode. Surrounded by his loved ones, including daughter Claire (Hayley Erin) and long-time love Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Cole said his goodbyes and shared one final kiss with Victoria, with whom he had a romantic connection since the early 1990s. Legionnaires’ disease is a type of serious pneumonia caused by a type of bacteria called Legionella, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Hayley Erin, J. Eddie Peck, Amelia Heinle Sonja Flemming/CBS In a post on Instagram, Peck said, "Just a quick shout out as Cole takes his last breath on the show today — and with that, this chapter of my journey on 'The Young and the Restless' comes to a close." "I want to thank all of you — my fans, friends, and Y&R family — for welcoming me back with such incredible warmth and support," continued Peck. Your messages, posts and enthusiasm made this return deeply meaningful for me. I'll do a lil follow up with a video later today or this eve. Much love, J.Eddie." https://www.instagram.com/p/DLqCb85BaxT/ Originating the role of Cole on the daytime drama series in 1993, Peck remained part of the series cast until 1999, making his exit all the more impactful as his character had been off canvas for nearly 25 years by the time the actor reprised the role in November 2023. Earlier that year, the actor helped celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary when he appeared on the red carpet during a big anniversary party with many questioning when they’d get to see him back on the soap opera. “There was the email that said, ‘Hey J. Eddie, we’re interested in knowing if you would like to reprise your role of Cole Howard,’” the actor told Soap Opera Digest in an interview following news of his return. “I turned to my wife and I was laughing and crying at the same time. The irony was just so funny. Here I had been discounting the rumors and now I was being asked to come back!” Before joining the daytime drama series, Peck made a name for himself in Hollywood starting in the early 1980s when he appeared in such shows as “Wildside,” “Knight Rider,” Murder, She Wrote,” “Cheers,” “Dynasty” and “Dallas.” In fact, before joining “The Young and the Restless,” Peck had a starring role on “Days of our Lives” playing Howard “Hawk” Hawkins from 1991-1992. He later appeared in multiple seasons of the ABC Family drama “Kyle XY” and most recently co-starred in the 2016 movie “Divorce Texas Style.” After departing “The Young and the Restless” in 1999, Peck ended up in Pine Valley as Dr. Jake Martin on “All My Children.” During his three years on the show, the actor ironically played opposite Heinle, who at the time was on the ABC soap as Mia Saunders. During Peck’s original run on “The Young and the Restless,” the role of Victoria Newman was played by Heather Tom, who currently stars as Katie Logan on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” ----- This article first appeared on Soap Opera Network.

Whelp, the repeat/encore decision was DEFINITELY last minute... Through conversations, it was a combination of things I've already cited and likely reactionary to the series low ratings the show had during the week of June 16-20, 2025. Thankfully, the show recovered, but the decision to pull originals had already been made and they wouldn't have known that just yet since overnight ratings for daytime always appear lower until finals are released - the ratings Toups and I report each week.
