My issues with the near incest on this show are on two levels: one, limitations. Pairing one character with another that is so closely related without actually being related, hinders future story. We need fresh blood. And two, soap opera, perhaps Passions aside, is based majorly on family values. I don't care about the "loopholes" Max is Chelsea's uncle and they should have been revolted when they learned she was Bo's daughter, IMO. Don't get me started on Stephanie, either.

Max and Abby is where it's at. Too bad Days will never got there.

They started out as foster kids, but the Bradys formally adopted both Max and Frankie. They are Bradys. No, there is no blood between Max and Chelsea or Max and Stephanie, but legally he is an uncle to both of them.

I'm confused as to what you mean..I remember Roseanne officially declaring the Connors "white trash" and citing David an dDarlene's relationship (might have been pregnancy) as one of the reasons why. David lived under the Connors' roof and they considered him a son, even if they didn't adopt him.

I'm sorry, Bree, that's simply not true. You'll recall that *I* VEHEMENTLY PROTESTED the "Jackby" pairing t he show WANTED to forcefeed us with. IF you want incest, look NOFURTHER than those disgusting Jack/Abby scenes with the birthday cake. I could lose my lunch just thinking about it. So no. I DON'T want Jack and Abby together. But I was stating it as fact. MOre than Jack's own wife, Abby has been OBSESSED with Jack. Believin g he's alive, not giving up hope, turning against her mother...it's SO Electra complex. P.S. Last I checked, Abby was a Chelsea wannabe. She wants to spread her legs every day and become a HO. But she can't because she's a Daddy's girl who never could. Abby will NEVER measure up to Chelsea's slutty standards. NEveeeeeeeeeer!!!!

That I definitely agree with. If they went that route with Frankie....I'd see it more as incest. But then again, some people want a Carrie/Frankie pairing.

I'm the opposite. Frankie was almost an adult when he was adopted. Max was just a child. The Bradys are the only family he's ever really known. That he could look at one of them romantically just squicks me to no end.

Not only that, it's also known that Frankie is really Carly Alamain's brother. I identify with that more than anything. Also, Frankie has a history on the show of truly loving Jennifer. He really never wanted to mess around with his adopted Brady siblings. Speaking of Carly, I'm really gonna miss Jack calling Frankie "Francois." Screw you Corday and NBC!!!!!!

Anyway, what's icky is that Max KNOWS Chelsea and Stephanie are his adopted nieces, yet he still wants to get busy with one and suck face with the other. The writers have really messed up the character, but they can redeem him by putting him with ABBY.

I definitely understand the Chelsea hate. But let's not forget, the majority of DAYS fans felt the same way towards Sami and Ali Sweeney 13, 12, 11, and 10 years ago. Melvin is a great actress. I hope she's in it for the long haul, although I doubt it, since that is so rare.
