I liked Kam as Sheridan. She made the whininess tolerable.

She made it funny. She had the same tone of voice and facial expression for every emotion. Very Charity Rahmer-esque.

Yeah she did make it more tolerable. She wasn't bad but she wasn't a hige improvement. She added more life to the role that is for sure.

Maybe MW will come back with more energy for her role like Galen did? He was a little flat too when he left and he came back worlds better IMO.

Well, we have to keep in mind too that it's her first day. And she never worked on a soap besides SUN, and it's a WHOLE new crew and dozens and dozens of new faces and a whole new set of nerves. Keeping in mind, she's no Oscar-worthy actress to begin with, I don't think she was like...horribly bad. I mean, clearly on par with a lot of people on Passions, IMO.

I think she will improve by next week's episodes. I did love that Sheridan finally seemed like she had energy.

She IS bad...LOL

I've watched Kam's second episode as Sheridan (US Monday), and she was still over-the-top but much better than her first episode.

Hmm...for those of you who have watched Kam in other films and shows, have her lips always been that size? Shallow, but I noticed that she seemed to have trouble moving them.

I remember her always having very voluptuous (sp?) lips.

I'm probably one of the biggest Passions fans of all times, and I think the older characters have run their course. It's honestly a teen-oriented show, and that's where Passions gets its highest ratings, from the teen audience. I think Passions should cater to the younger viewers, and to do so, it should eliminate some of the older roles that are pretty much useless now.

Oh, and that's why the show has posted record lows in HH's and demos, ALL their demos, in the 9 months that they've backburned the Vets.

I'd take 10 Sam's over the likes of JessiHo, Spike, that damn mermaid and the non-acting Miguel.

THANK YOU!!

Passions's numbers stunk before Vendetta and now they suck more. The last few weeks have been better but they already drove so many away it will take forever to get them back. Focusing on the young characters is not the proper way to get numbers up.

That's quite nice, but the show doesn't revolve around you and what you want. You obviously don't even like what makes Passions Passions.

Yeah but that works both ways. You want it to revolve around the young people and that can only get so far. The show won't survive doing what it did with Vendetta. Yes Theresa/Ethan/Gwen, Sheridan/Luis, etc are money characters but your teen demo only makes up a small part of the viewing audience. This is the CW or MTV-Passions needs to excell in more then the teen numbers to survive. If things go the way you want them then the show will be gone by next year. Passions used to be right up there with Days in the women 18-34 demo and now it is near the bottom. It's HH numbers have been at and still are near record lows but, according to you, that is ok as long as we still have a stronghold on the teen demo.

SiPort has watched Passions like I have since the beginning so there is knowledge there. Many of us on here have watched it and I came so close on May to turning off Passions for good-as did a good deal of us. With JER coming back full-time and the show showing signs of old Passions we are all keeping an eye on the show to see how it does and if it can get back to 1999-2001 Passions when the numbers were great and show was the most talked about on daytime. No one talks about it now-its a laughingstock rather then a phenomenon. You say we don't know what makes Passions Passiones but your desire to eliminate the older characters shows you don't know what makes Passions Passions either. The core family comppnent is one of the biggest things that makes Passions unique and getting rid of who you want to would be steering further away from what is truly Passions so in a way you are contradicting yourself and showing you don't know what the true identity of the show is.

The older crew needs to be featured more. Or fired. They're being so wasted. If I can't see Kim Ulrich on PSNS, I want to see her somewhere else. So use her or let her go, dumb asses.

if they did that, then they might as well cancel Passions and relaunch it as a new soap bc I think it would have a different vibe without the older cast. It would definetly leave a hole in the show. I wonder if they would ever consider doing that if things get worse than they already are

It will have a different vibe. And has. The show's already been like this for 6 months now.
