Now I´m really scared for DAYS. I hope Sheffer will have power to change this, because if something, this interviews tells me the show is going to be worst, not better. There is no demand for even more violent, brutal, cold stories about characters so selfish and unsympathetic that nobody can identified with. There´s a huge demand for DAYS to get back to its roots. Back to the family values, bigger than life couples and romance in the afternoon. So far we haven´t got any sign the show understands that. People likes EJ because he is finally someone who is sincerelly interested in Sami and likes her the way she is. The last thing anyone wants to see is him turning into a violent torturer.

I really don't think ONE storyline dictates the entire show. I also think you would be at ease if you read some [s.W.S.N.B.N.] novels, short stories. Her writing is very deep and character-driven. She's nothing like the fluff piece that the article portrayed.

Don't be surprised if Bradley Bell swipes [s.W.S.N.B.N.] over to "Bold and the Beautiful". He's trying EXTRA hard and neither she nor Hogan are signed to DAYS. Only Beth Milstein is.

WHAT!! Hogan isn't signed!!!

Keep us inform PLEASE!!!

What about this...

Those are things I don´t have any interest to see. And based on reactions of people around the net who have already seen the article, I´m not alone. It´s not new, it´s not fresh, it´s basically the same sh*t DAYS is trying to force on us for atleast last ten years. I´m all for Boof to be Sheffer´s muse, sidekick, lover or whatever Erica claims she is to him. But noway I want to see her ideas realized on screen.

You FORGET that it won't be JER writing these stories--but people who can actually write.

Everything she described in the article is basically a week of "Young and the Restless".

Is it not?

I'm not surprised. I really can't and don't see her staying on DAYS for long.

Yeah. But DAYS isn´t Y&R, OLTL nor GH, and any writer who wants to be succesfull has to respect that.

Exactly what is Days then? Before JER days was campy at times, but has great character driven storylines that focused on families. During the JER era, were there some character driven storylines? Some yes, but mainly it revolved around plot, plot, plot, plot, gimmick, gimmick, stunt.

Let Hogan turn DAYS into his vision. There's no way to recapture the days of old (no pun intended). Instead of focusing on what DAYS used to be, Hogan should focus on what make DAYS so special and go from there. If you try to copy what was, you'll fail. There's nothing like the original.

As far as the [!@#$%^&*] interview, they focused less on DAYS on more on her past. I don't see why people should be "scared" b/c of what she said in the interview. I for one wouldn't mind seeing someone who's power driven and wants to take over the world. You know everyone who wants to "take over the world" isn't evil. They could just be goal oriented with a slight dark side. We shouldn't look too far into this anyway.

Look, Jane. You've made it clear a number of times that you don't like this writer no matter what she does! LOL You just don't like her.

So be glad to know that Bradley Bell is sending Boof so much champagne, wisteria (her favorite flower), gift trinkets and Hallmark cards containing $100 dollar bills signed--"BB needs you"--that she may be very well be gone before you can get a good POUT going.

But if you knew what a talented writer this is, you would think twice, because it doesn't matter what the story is. It matters who's writing it, and DAYS hasn't had top caliber "gritty" writers since I don't know when.

I don't like the sounds of the story at all. And I sure hate that EJ might be the one. I do not want him to be a cartoon like villian and would like for him to be more of a classic villain who could have a longer life on the show. These ones who want to take over the world or kill everyone in town, either have to go to jail or get killed off and then come back from the dead.

I would just love to see EJ or someone be a classic type villian like Adam Chadler or Roger Thorpe. WHere are those type of villians today? Where are the ruthless characters and not the ones who are just plain evil.

And if it turns into a redemption story for Sami great, but my fear is it will just be another way for Sami to scheme. She did it with Tony who why not with EJ. She could just pair up with him and use him to get the things she wants. And then of course cause more problems with her family when they all find out she slept with the enemy again.

I think many are way too quick to judge what Boof has planned. I mean, she's said herself that she may be gone when Hogan comes on in August, so who knows how far her outlines will even go? There's far too many variables for people to getting their panties is such a bunch, especially over an article that was surely spun.

Sorry, but how I can take this seriously? Here is [!@#$%^&*] herself on her MB happy she may gets steady pay as a part of some soap writing team, saying how much better paid is soap writing than her novels. And now, you are saying she owns a farm near Bradley Bell´s mansion?! :o

And it´s not [!@#$%^&*] I don´t like. It´s this "here comes the daytime savior" attitude which really turns me off. She is a newbie, she needs to prove herself first.

According to the article, she owns a ranch outside L.A. and owns a farm in Kenya and a house in South Africa.

Whatever you were saying, I didn't really follow you.

Tell you what. Go get hooked on "Guiding Light". :P

No where did EricaKane4life say she owns a farm near the Bell mansion. I'm really not understanding your point Jane. What are you trying to say?

SOAP DISH ON 'MY OLD FLAME OSAMA'

'BIN LADEN' TV CHARACTER

By MARIANNE GARVEY

July 2, 2006 -- Osama bin Laden is coming to a soap opera near you.

A woman who says she was the terrorist's unwilling mistress a decade ago and who is now a writer for hire for the NBC daytime soap "Days of Our Lives" is creating an outrageous evil side to one of the show's male characters based on the mass-murderer-in-hiding.

"I took characteristics straight from Osama," 37-year-old [s.W.S.N.B.N.] told The Post. "This character wants to take over the world."

"I'm bringing in his dark side based on my experiences in the underworld."

Now a soccer mom to two boys and living in a ranch house outside Los Angeles, Boof - born Naima Bint Harith - said after 9/11 that she had been repeatedly raped and intimidated into cohabitating with bin Laden for six months in Morocco in 1996.

He supposedly showered her with gifts - like exquisite silk dresses, chunky diamonds, and a farm in Kenya and a house in South Africa, both of which she says she still owns.

"Living with him was the most horrible thing," she said. "I still have nightmares that he's going to kill me."

"I'm not proud I was a kept woman, but I use a lot of what I went through with Osama bin Laden in my soap writing. Many of the women characters have deep, dark secrets, and I can relate to that."

"I've been sinful, I've been a villain, I've been desperate and hungry enough where I've had to make something happen. I know what it's like to be raped, to sleep with a rich man for his money, to have diamonds and furs."

Born in Sudan, Boof said she witnessed her parents murdered as a young child.

She was adopted by an American military man, grew up in Washington, D.C., and returned to Africa while in her early 20s.

According to her story, she met bin Laden while she was on a date with a man in a Marrakech restaurant. The terrorist had his goons usher the date, a Sudanese soccer player, away. The men then brought her to bin Laden, dressed in white robes and sitting at a corner table.

He asked her what she wanted to order. When she replied, "lion's meat," he told her she was "disgusting." She ran out of the restaurant fearing for her life. He later showed up at her hotel room - to rape her.

She left Morocco six months later.

She said the bin Laden she knew was "brilliant," striking, liked to hunt duck, enjoyed eating yogurt and peppered watermelon, smoked marijuana, made her wear her hair in a '60s-style flip hairdo, and prayed all day Tuesdays and Thursdays, when she was not allowed to speak to him or touch him. He also often spoke poorly of his mother and loved blondes.

Some have doubted the veracity of Boof's story.

After Sept. 11, she played homemaker for five years, living with her now ex-boyfriend Simon and their boys.

On a whim last year, she wrote a letter to Stephen Wyman, executive producer for "Days," asking him to take a look at her writing. After reading her autobiography, "Diary of a Lost Girl," Wyman let her write some dialogue and propose story lines. "It's my dream job, a fantasy for me," she said.

"They say I bring in the spice - I'm bringing in the idea that the characters should sin over money, power, glamour, men."

Sounds like she is writing for EJ and Sami. That's all.
