Call me crazy but I'll miss him. I think he has GREAT "family" chemistry with Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonson. I'm not sure I could accept anyone else in the role. He just IS Shawn Brady.

ICAM! That's the main reason I will miss Jason. The three actors get along well together and I just think that a re-cast won't do it for me.

And for goodness sakes... Chad Brannon??? Isn't he the one that suddenly became very religious and left the soap world? He couldn't begin to replace Jason as Shawn Brady.

I don't think Cook is that bad at all. I agree that he's really good with Reckell, Alfonso and other vets. I also like his chemistry with Martha and Farah. I can't believe it's almost been 7 years since he came.....he's the last original teen from the teen invasion in 1999.

I agree, Cook isn't bad. An actor can only do so much when you consistently have bad writing and that was very frustrating for him. In fact, to all the actors.

Unless you have been on the show for ten plus years OR you are a fan favorite, then you can be re-casted successfully 9 times out of ten. JC is neither of those.

I think Dee and Drake are to Days what Maurice Benard is for GH. Why should they be shoved down everyone's throat every other day? If I start watching again, I'll be happy to see Blondie and eye brow man gone from the screen.

Maybe Hogan will write out the Lockhart family..As much as i love Bonnie..her, mimi, and patrick are definitely expendable...If we are going to lose cast members i hope its them...and add roman to that list and i'll be happy..

then bring Judi back as Adrienne..and we can have the johnson family..

And to what I want to add....

I have gone all 6 years to the DAYS/PSNS events in Nashville and every cast member that has come has come down from the second level(the place where its held is 3 stories) and talked on stage with the fans, or at the fans. Farah Fath was the only cast member that never came down. I am guessing about 30 different actors have come in the 6 years, yet FF is the only diva that refused to come on stage. For that alone I dont respect her, not to mention how she is in interviews. She comes off as a diva !@#$%^&*], who is she to be like that?

Jason Cook isnt always bad, but he is one of the worst actors when it comes to anger or shouting. I HATE the way he tries to act all surprised sometimes, and has trouble spitting out his lines. It seems he knows what his lines are, but he cant for the life of him spit them out. I wont miss him, unless the recast is worse.

And about J&M, this is being blown so out of porportion its ridiculous IMO. I will bet my left nut Dee and Drake will stay with the show. With the transition of HS coming to DAYS, its better they are off screen to be honest. Its not a coincidence Roman hasnt been seen lately, I bet JER had a huge summer SL with Marlena/John/Roman. Think about it, the second Marlena regained her memory there was Roman barging through the door at the penthouse, where is the HELL is my baby's momma. I just think Ari leaving the show hurt JT screen time and then JER being ousted hurt him this go around. But thats just my opinion.

The last I heard Eric was signed up with Paramount Pictures. I don't think he will ever do a soap again, but I guess he could change his mind.

I think Eric Winter could actually step into the role of Eric Brady very easily because he does have a resemblance to Jensen Ackles.

That would be a REALLY stupid decision. This isn't like SORAS. This is taking an actor who was there less than three years ago, and changing his role. It'd be like Rex forgave Mimi--except he didn't. Dumb, dumb, DUMB move if they did that.

Well, I like it. But, can see your point of course. It would be a "play like" thing. I really don't like the current Shawn character and want him changed sooooooooooooooooo much.

I was reading on Jason47's stat page that Jason Cook's contract is up October 2006 so Jason must have got his deal. Philip was at October 2006 also, wonder how this will work out.

And as to the thing of those who have suffered because they had to watch John & Marlena I guess the same could be said for those who have had to sit through Jack & Jennifer (who are probably my least favorite couple on the show and sometimes have even hated together) or those who sit through Shawn & Belle and don't like them or Bo & Hope or Abe & Lexxie or Shawn & Mimi, Phillip & Belle, etc. We all have the ones we don't like, and consider it suffering to have to watch them.

Considering that Matt & Missy have been on the backburner for the bulk of the past 3 and a half years, I hardly think anyone can accuse J&J of being shoved down anyone's throats. The same cannot be said of many other couples.

I think it's good that Peter & Kristian will get a month off. They've been on alot this year.

Both Peter and Kristian have worked nearly the entire year, a month off will be great for them..

I agree good for Bope getting time off. J&M will be back anyway so Days can re focus on them and utilize J&J, Steve/Kayla, etc.
