finals!

I'm about ready to die. Finals started this week at my school. For some reason, I feel like we have ours really early because I know that UMass doesn't get out until the 20th. It's weird.

I had my Women's Studies exam at 9 this morning. It was pretty easy.

But now I'm studying for an Economics exam that's going to take me all night. The library closes at 2, but I have a feeling I'm going to be up later than that. I don't have to take the exam until 2 tomorrow afternoon.

But once I'm done with that, I have this huge History paper that's due on Friday. It's 7 pages, and I'm on page 0 right now. I haven't even done an adequate amount of research for it. It's for one of the archives on campus, and their hours blow: 10-5. But my prof is my History advisor, so I can't blow it off.

I can't wait until Friday when I'll be home and can rest my poor brain. Until then, though, I see a lot of sleepless nights and major procrastination on SON!:unsure:

BOO! You all suck!!  I guess my school is normal then, despite making up crazy holidays and doing weird rituals like streaking and screaming in order to start finals week. Those poor kids at UMass and a few other schools have 1-2 more weeks to go!!

Ugh...2 more days and then I'll be where you all are!! :)

Okay, I'm leaving. If I come back any time before Friday night (unless it's to discuss the ATWT episodes), someone yell at me.

CIAO!

I got done with my finals last friday. My first summer session started last night. I guess summer classes are not that bad, only one class to study for at a time. Three hour classes twice a week kind of suck though. Good Luck on your finals this week Ms. Walsh!

I finished at 5:45 today, the final took 12 minutes, what a joke! Probably the first class in college I got over 100, sociology is just easy for me.

I am almost back to a 3.0 GPA, if I can just get that F removed from a few years back. I took the course over again, but it was at a different university so they are being !@#$%^&*]es about not switching it from an F to a B, which would get me back to my goal of a 3.0 GPA.

I finished Friday morning, and then returned home in the evening.

Finals week was brutal for me. Basically, I was living off of Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee, tons of Hershey chocolate kisses, and about a combined total of 8 hours of sleep for the 5 exam days. I think I flunked my Econ exam, and I did a horrible job on my History paper. :( But I do think I did well with my Women's Studies exam. Thankfully, my Spanish class ended early, so I didn't have to worry about it.

If I did horribly in Econ, I'm going to drop it b/c first-years get one free drop. I just need to take 4 exercise classes (I'm taking 2 next semester, so I'll take 2 in the spring) to get all my credits.

All I need is a 3.0 GPA b/c that's what you need to go abroad junior year, and those grades don't count towards your GPA when you return! Thank GOD! That's all I aim for. :)

Currently my GPA is 3.2, but it could go way down w/ my horrible performance this semester. :(

Don't worry. I know people who don't get out until the 26th. In fact, most of my friends are still at college...their exams are this week.

    • I’m sure Trisha-Mann Grant would love to play those layers too.  It stuck me when she said in an interview that she could identify with the pain Leslie carried because she was a single mother of two struggling with no help raising her kids at one point. You can tell playing Leslie means a lot to her, as devious as the character is (which I’m sure is fun to play for any actor)!
    • Not a director or writer, but Kevin Hamburger is now listed as supervising producer at Y&R, replacing longtime supervising producer John Fisher. Hamburger is a buddy of Steve Kent, going back to when they were both producers at Santa Barbara
    • Getting caught up on last week. The Tracy and BLQ scenes were so good. Jane Elliot and Amanda Setton are just wonderful scene partners together. The relationship they’ve built over the years for their characters is just so rich.

    • Okay sounds nice. I consider myself a dash of Annelle, Truvy, and Louisa.
    • What in the world is this even meant to be about? I said  I absolutely am not playing, period.  OH! Okay, thanks. I did not know how she is a Spencer & I was trying to make it work.
    • I intended it to be from film critics, but -- full disclosure -- lifted the Punchline and Steel Magnolias stuff from old blog posts of mine. In short, you're free to share your own criticism, yes. (I've said it before, but I consider myself a Clairee with more than a little Annelle.)

    • Valerie Spencer, yes who had an affair with Dante, and sort-of dated Kristina when played by Lexi.  But Valerie is first cousins with Carly and Lulu.   Valerie's mother Pat was older sister of Bobbie and Luke.
    • Steel Magnolias is one of my favorite films. Be nice!

@Franko Can we add criticism of our own, or just from movie critics?
