Gotta love those vertical blinds. Very much in keeping with an upmarket penthouse floor.

I thought the same thing, although I guess I would have been told they were always there in that swanky building.

Sally is the same character as Chloe/Chelsea/Audra.

Just what CBS soaps need, another offscreen university! I guess they collab with Vernon teaching Zoom classes, all referred to over drinks at Society or Orphey Gene's. Such amazing synergy!

  • Joshua Morrow has found that happy medium between six pack and dad bod.

Yeah, I'm onboard with Kyle and Victoria. It is giving classic Y&R. It is risqué and fun, which is what both characters need. This feels like what they were trying with Noah and Sienna (a pairing I did like and hope returns under the incoming writing regime), but this time with dual established characters. Michael Mealor and Amelia Heinle do have chemistry, and I am glad that Sally McDonald is going ahead with this. It shows that she is more of a hands-on producer than others likely believe. Good sign.

And look, a screen capture that does not look like it was taken on a Razor flip phone of a television screen from the mid-2000s. Imagine that.... 🤣

I appreciate everyone who posts screencaps of soap scenes, regardless of technical quality. I appreciate the kindness and effort to post.

I've posted plenty of screencaps here. I know they're not professional, and that's because I pause the screen and very quickly take the screenshot. I don't bother with the lighting in the room or anything else.

My phone? A new Samsung s26 Ultra.

Let's see-Kyle is having sex with the mother of his former girlfriend. His father has been married to her mother. His mother was married to her father. His uncle was married to her.

Enough with the merry go round. I know that a certain amount of this happens in soaps, but it might be nice to see Kyle involved with somebody new. Especially when it rehashes the Newman/Abbott rivalry for the umpteenth time.

I'm not holding out any hope that the new regime will fix this.

There's also the history that both Victoria and Nikki had affairs with Cole. And now Victoria and Claire are/were involved with Kyle.

Oh, no. I took more screen shots, but I guess I wasn't careful enough.

The second shot of Kyle is quite artistic actually. 🤣

Kyle has been with three Newman females: Summer, Claire, Victoria. Faith is the last one left. Abby and Katie are his cousins so they're ruled out.

It's kind of ick that Victoria has been with the man who took her daughter's virginity. I know Claire willingly was involved with Kyle, but still.

Not a fan of Victoria and Kyle hooking up. Do I believe that Victoria would be attracted to him? Yes. Do I think Kyle would want Victoria as a partner? No. The only acceptable outcome for this would be for Kyle to be using Victoria. I would accept that.

I don't even care that Kyle was with her daughter, I just don't... get it. Like there would be no point to this and I haven't seen any spark, even if they were two characters that didn't have that history. There's no particular chemistry here worth pursuing, no storyline, no drama. Just another notch on her belt. Ok. And?

Y&R has too many long running characters that are victims of unimaginative writing. So the only options they see is to constantly shuffle the same characters around.

The pairings seem pretty much darts on a board. Mmmm...let's see, how about Nick falls back in love with Chelsea, or Adam with Lily?

Characters are deeply in love, then forget and move on, unless it's decided they'll get back together.

Kyle and Victoria for example. They were around each other for years and now within weeks are having sex. Neither of them think it unwise to be involved with someone that would have been their mother/son in law?

But it's all soapy and forbidden, so let's go!!

Kyle and Victoria sounds like the most random pairing especially considering how madly in love Kyle supposedly was just with her daughter and his marriage to her niece. JG really is just doing whatever on his way out.

-- Because the vacation set for Jack and Diane is so cramped an small, Y&R has to make excuses as to why they're saying there.

-- These Jack and Diane conversations are excruciating.

-- The idea that Lily would just give Chancellor to Billy because he has a good reason is so ludicrous that I don't know what to say.

-- Billy is such a business mogul. All he's done all week is drink at bars and eat in restaurants. He and Sally spent the entire Friday episode sitting at a table in Society.

-- Phyllis needs help to find Matt Clark, so she goes for help to...Danny???

When Jack and Diane announced their trip, I thought the actors were getting an offscreen break, but no, the footage of Tahiti appeared.

Fade to a tiny hotel room that looked suspiciously like the NY room in the Holden/Claire trip.

And then we're expected to believe that Diane booked this. I'm no millionaire but I've stayed in better accommodation. Some claptrap about it not being the right room. God, this show is so cheap. No way should those charcters be in that set.

Why did they had to have the bed filling up the room? At least use that space as a sitting room with some doors suggesting the bedroom. Jack & Diane could have snuggled up on a sofa for the robe convo. And a terrace might have helped.

Anyway the whole thing was filler, needlessly reminding us of Diane's awful BFTD story. Maybe be better to be more vague eg "When I came back into your lives".. etc.

The set decoration is pretty awful overall. Billy's house an exception as is the Tackhouse (although not suitable for billionaire Victoria) The GCAC is fine overall, although those cushions on the sofa and chairs have to go.

But Lily's penthouse with the tiny 2 seater sofa and cheap artwork and knick knacks. The dated CL and Sharon's unchanged cottage. Society is overly busy with so many colors and clashing patterns, different surfaces.

The Abbott redo was horrible and the revived ranch is too gloomy.
