@Errol Ugh, I hate to be the one to say this... but I just went into a thread and got this error below. But, once I hit refresh, I got back in no problems. Knock on wood, I haven't had the logging in/out issue for weeks now.

I'm still getting that "max user connections" error intermittently. It happens especially when I'm editing a post.

I've never had any login issues (on up to date Chrome), but I am getting a lot of the above Error 500 screen lately.

Yes, personally experienced the same. It was slightly different from earlier reports of the same issue, as it persisted more consistently. I was able to combat it by increasing max_connections again.

Was this something that happened in the last five or so minutes? The last alert I received from Cloudflare about error 500 was at 11:03 p.m. ET.

Yes just now, and also once last night, and earlier today. (I was gone for 12 hours today but came home to find it happening)

Thank you. I'm now able to track when this error occurs and who it is directly impacting in our system. I've also adjusted the cache settings in Cloudflare, which have been triggering messy styling off and on over the last couple of days, as I made separate adjustments to the main site to ensure it loads faster when people click on pages to read its content.

Because the main site and the SON Community use the same domain but separate servers, I have to make independent adjustments for each while trying to figure out what Cloudflare setting works for one but not the other. I've learned more about servers, MySQL, Redis, Cloudflare, etc., in the last two weeks than I had previously in my nearly 24 years as a webmaster/web designer.

I've removed all Cloudflare cache settings for the SON Community. I've upped the max_connections and timeout settings to very high values.

I'm going to sleep now.

Oh dear, I had intended my last post to say
May 30 at 9:10pm PDT
or May 31 at 12:10am EDT.
Don't know why I typed 9:10 EDT. Sorry about that.

update: Just read all the work you've been doing! You were up half the night working on this -- hope you're getting some rest!

Sadly, I just got "max user connections" at
4:20 am PDT May 31.

I just got this error when browsing. I tried to refresh over and over again, but could never get back to SON. I had to clear my cache, then sign in and was able to access SON just now. This was on my Mac - so Safari browser.
