On Wednesday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m. local time, cast members from “The Young and the Restless” will take part in a star-studded reading of the upcoming romance novel “She Wrote, He Wrote: A New York Love Story,” written by Ashley Wren Collins and Jordan Rockwell.

The event, a unique dramatic reading followed by a Q&A and book signing at the Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles, will be directed by Fritz Bekeller, who has won two Emmy Awards throughout his career for Outstanding Direction for a Daytime Drama Series, first during his time at “One Life to Live” and then later at “The Young and the Restless.”

Cast members from the long-running daytime drama series currently scheduled to take part in the reading include Emmy Award nominees Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson), Mark Grossman (Adam Newman), Michael Graziadei (Daniel Romalotti) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Mitchell).

The novel follows aspiring writer Joanna Peterson-Mills, played by Egan for the reading, who’s balancing her flourishing writing career with her creepy boss and big city dreams, while living in a cramped East Village walk-up she shares with two eccentric roommates. Meanwhile, Logan Thurgood, a finance scion played by Grossman, is determined to break away from the labels of his wealthy Connecticut family and forge a name for himself on Wall Street.

After meeting at a dinner party one autumn night in New York, readers are introduced to a sidesplitting romp through the duo’s “Not-so Meet Cute” under the Manhattan skyline as they navigate career and dating hijinks in the modern world. As Joanna and Logan’s paths keep crossing and their stories unfold, one question remains: Can these two get out of their own way and find a happy ending together?

The romantic comedy is told from alternating perspectives and features a lovable cast of characters, including Graziadei and Hendrickson, who play various other roles.
