Did I miss an episode or something. I saw the big explosion at the end of yesterday's show. And then today, there's no mention of the explosion, and everybody comes back to the hotel room. It's like an entire episode is missing.

Daniel is so annoying. As if Victor hasn’t done many underhanded things in his life. Please. This fake outrage towards Phyllis does feel kind of sexist to me given that we don’t see this kind of energy directed towards the men, especially Victor. Damnit how dare they make me wanna root for Phyllis!

I thought Lauren reading Daniel about the laurels male corporate raiders get versus a if woman does the same was great. Lauren's involvement with the takeover makes me want them to extend the story. Lauren as a savvy and accomplished businessperson has been neglected for far too long. Plus, Tracey's still got it.

Separately, I had to FF through all the Silly scenes. CH is being completely wasted here.

-- You missed nothing. This is what you get when a soap is done on the cheap. Anything that costs more than $20 is a no-go.

There was no indication of how any of them escaped that gas station before it blew up. Nick went to the hospital? Why show it when you can just say "He went there"? None of them acted like they'd been through anything harrowing. Just embarrassing soap.

-- Sienna showed up looking like an Amish woman who pulled a double shift and then had to plow the fields.

-- Is ANYONE in that crew calling the cops???

-- Sally and Billy could not be more effing boring. I do not care about them and I do not care if she has a damn baby. I don't care if they marry. Their conversations are better than Ambien.

-- Shirtless hunks are a staple of daytime, but on this show we get Jason Thompson. OK then.

-- Is Daniel sexist in going after his mother and not Victor? Maybe, but why shouldn't he care more about his MOTHER'S crimes than Victor's? Phyllis stole the damn company, and acting as if she earned ANYTHING at Newman is pathetic.

-- And I still don't buy it that Lauren of the famous Fenmore chain would be so stupid as to go into business with Phyllis.

-- Cane and Lily belong together, but I expect Josh Griffith to screw that up, too.

  • Loved the mentioning of Wyatt Spencer via Sally's past. That makes me very, very happy, and I would not be mad if Darin Brooks made an appearance on The Young and the Restless, either.

  • Stacy Haiduk continues to be delicious as Patty Williams and Mandi Line's eye for fashion for the character is spot on. I am loving everything about this.

  • The way the grey flecks of hair that have come in on Michael Mealor are absolutely amazing! It makes him so much more handsome. Hoping he keeps them.

  • The boom camera work today was excellent.

  • At its basics, this is still a good soap. But big stories are not where Josh Griffith excels as a writer.

  • I really like Courtney Hope (Sally) and Jason Thompson (Billy) together. They have amazing chemistry, so I am excited to see their relationship continue.

  • Phillis is deplorable and bringing up the fact that Christine never had any children was below the belt.

I'm actually surprised Bill Bell and Kay Alden never got around to giving Christine any offspring. At the very least, she could've adopted, but it seems like Bell/Alden were satisfied with her just being "Christine Blair, Attorney at Law."
