My concern is that BTG is playing by those old sweeps rules. If they are, they need to stop.

I do agree with you. Regardless of the reason, they have to start loosening up the stories so they can peak at different times. I also think it's unfortunate because they're waiting for a season 3 pickup and there really isn't anything to build real excitement or bring in new viewers. The cancer story will potentially get them accolades but the eligible Emmys would be October 2027.

They need something they can promote that is explosive and get people tuning in. I do hope the Y&R crossover helps but again, that's in the summer and after any renewal announcement.

Agree with all that.

I hope they're not doing any writing that awaits a renewal. That's a fail in my eyes.

And Emmys are nice, but they don't mean much at all when it comes to ratings or jumps in viewership.

GH has been running away with Best Drama Emmys for a decade, and it's never meant a thing.

Personally, I don't think Bill Bell ever concerned himself with sweeps.

BTG needs to start inserting some P&G Easter Eggs into the show.  Have a subtle reference or message that the police department has received information that blood plasma has been reported missing at the following hospitals Bay City General, Oakdale Memorial, and Springfield Cedars.  Mention the chief of staffs at these hospitals in passing- Dr. Jamie Frame, Dr. Chris Hughes, and Dr. Rick Bauer.

Why would they do that when this blood plasma story isnt intended to extend to several states hundeds of miles away? As it stands, it is local to the DMV and that would make it less believable to start throwing random references elsewhere

I dont want BTG to start being like GH which started random references from Ryans Hope to Loving, shows canceled decades earlier

-If Tomas is killed then there won't be any hispanic characters around. I'm black so I don't care but I can tell that the show wants to check off the boxes of having at least one hispanic character. So in that sense we could be stuck with Tomas for a while.

-I prefer Carlton with Nicole. I would like to see Kial drift towards the Impaler storyline. Him and Ashley's boyfriend could be desperate circumstances together I guess. I would also like to see him get into some s*** with Joey and Vanessa. Especially if the truth comes out about Joey killing Doug. Kial being there to scoop up Vanessa would be kind of crazy.

-The easter wardrobe was tope tier. Even Hayley came in looking fly.

-Anita being determined to have a moment of joy by hanging out at the country club for easter is great.

-I'm still deciding whether or not I want to see Caroline try to social climb and get Bill for herself.

-I hope Deanna continues giving Vanessa the business. Vanessa lying about starting her affair with Joey while Doug was alive was a terrible decision. And Donnell going along with it was weird.

I really didn’t understand Donnell deciding to go along with Vanessa when he was the one introduced initially that had the problem with relationship.

Agreed. Joey manipulated Donnell into liking him. However even in that context Donnell should be cautious. But he doesn't have the same instincts and/or street smarts that his sister or Kat do.

Now I wanna see Deanna and Kat form another dynamic duo.
