Forgot to mention: Nathan Dean's grief over Luke/Tony is very real onscreen. Hard to watch.

I find it really appalling that there are Robert and Holly fans still advocating for Ethan to be revealed as Robert’s son when Nathan said he came back to the show to honor Tony. Tony and Tristan are both gone. Let it go. Robert and Holly got a retcon kid anyways.

I adore Ethan and Tracy’s relationship. I’ve always preferred her relationships with Luke’s kids over her relationships with her own sons.

I thought about what others said regarding Gio and Emma's Disney trip, and decided I was too hard on the whole thing. I decided to roll with it.

But yikes, this writing. The subway orchestra stuff was so bad. None of it worked. And then they forced it even more so they could end with "a whole new world" line.

I felt bad for both actors.

The Gio/Emma NYC scenes were giving me flashbacks of Guiding Light 2009. Thank goodness GH still has a studio with sets and studio lighting.

I don't know what they were thinking lighting that scene on the stage all in blue light and going in for close ups. The actors looked awful! They were supposed to be at Aladdin, not reenacting Phantom of the Opera.

Yeah, I admit it was a little corny and dorky… but Gio 😍😍😍

So I didn’t mind it that much 😂😂

(Not sure I'm understanding your post)
Just in case you assumed this was filmed at the GH studio?
Those scenes were filmed on location at the New Amsterdam Theatre in Manhattan where Aladdin is playing. There was an article in tvinsider but that includes a spoiler about something not yet aired, so don't click if you want to remain unspoiled.

It was jarring to go from scenes shot on location in NYC, with bad lighting and acoustics, to regular scenes shot at the GH studio, with controlled lighting, etc. I'm thankful they still have a studio to go to and aren't forced to shoot everything on location, like GL did at the end of its run.

Even though those Aladdin-promotion scenes with Gio and Emma were a little cheesy and awkward to watch, I still think it's a good sign that TPTB at GH are promoting this couple and their actors. They just posted the actors' behind-the-scenes travel vlog, and it's pretty clear from their body language that they're a real-life couple as well. They really do have a ton of chemistry that translates onscreen.

Oh wow, they're clearly a couple in real life - I had no idea! Thanks for posting, this was cute.

They're a couple IRL? Oh, that's nice. So, how do we break up Gio and Emma? Because, like hell will I ever support real-life partners (who aren't Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes) from playing partners on screen as well. That's just asking for trouble.

I'll be surprised if they are both on the show within a year or two just because they will want to strike while the iron is hot.
