I agree. But no one has really said it to his face like that.

I guess he IS going to go cray cray.

There is so much more that I could write. In fact, I could write this script, sitting in Lotus pose but I don't give away my writing for free. I could write some fantastic jailhouse scenes between Leslie and Allison (remember her?) and Leslie trying to plot an appeal and trying to beg, beseech and guilt a repulsed Eva on board to help her in appealing her case.

I like your story suggestion. I'm confused by you 'not willing to write for free'. Did they ever reach out and ask you to?

Also regarding you being able to write some 'fantastic' jailhouse scenes... This level of confidence is refreshing! All the good writers I've met lowkey despised their own work and would never stop refining it if given the chance. Have you tried to submit your work or a spec to the show's producers in Atlanta? I bet they'd be open to new blood. This is your chance, you should really, really take it. Especially considering that writing your suggestions on here kind of is writing for free.

-- Bill makes it clear he wants a son. Very neanderthal of him.

I disagree. His whole life he's been surrounded by women - wife, ex wife, daughters. His beloved mother's died and he had a complex relationship with his father. What's so bad about him wanting a son?

-- Once again, a Giddens/Paige script is filled with pop culture references and slang all over the place. The problem remains that the other writers don't do this.

Was this the episode with the Henry VIII/Anne Boleyn mention? Coming from Hayley and Bill of all people! That was an insane level of stupid. I was like 'Okay, scriptwriter, you've read a book - we get it'.

oh, we’re WAY, WAY past “boarding on caricature,” and “becoming off-putting.”

Big agree. They fumbled the bag with Leslie.

back in the day, a classic friday cliffhanger would have made us wait until monday for the grayson reveal.

Thing is: it wasn't a whodunnit. Forcing the audience for an entire weekend to guess who was dropping the samples would've been lame: there's not that many male suspects wearing sneakers and a uniform. It could only be Greyson.

I have two major problems with the show lately.

First: the lack of stakes. I know the soap format very well, and in 2026 it’s simply unacceptable to have multiple consecutive episodes where characters are just talking and updating each other about life with no real conflict whatsoever (aside from the usual Leslie quips). It’s borderline unwatchable. I’ve noticed that in the past few weeks, Mondays and Tuesdays have especially felt like that—and they’ve been a chore to sit through.

Second: I don’t necessarily mind the execution of the Anita storyline, aside from the occasional deification of Anita and the Dupraise. My bigger issue is how they’re framing the discourse around Anita. The whole “battle against cancer,” “beating it,” “being strong” narrative -while I’m sure it’s common in hospitals and among patients- has been criticized by many organizations and charities. It places too much emphasis, or even culpability, on the patient’s willpower, as if attitude alone determines the outcome. While I absolutely believe that maintaining a positive mindset can help, we need to reframe how we talk about these experiences. Fiction would actually be a great place to start leading by example.

As for Deanna, she sounds like a breath of fresh air. I genuinely can’t wait to see her call her mom out. I agree with whoever said there’s a risk of her becoming a Kat copycat (no pun intended). We already have that archetype on the canvas (not to mention Kat too has a “wiser” brother with occasional bad temperament) but at the same time, we don’t. Writers tend to defang their “bad girls” the longer they stick around, and Kat—and Eva, for that matter—are unfortunately far more docile now than they were at the beginning.

So, I finally finished this week's episodes. I enjoyed them and I can appreciate the seeds being planted and some payoffs coming soon.

I like Derek more now than I ever have. He goes off contract and he becomes far more interesting, go figure??? 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Dana/Leslie is becoming a fly you can't swat away. I still find her somewhat entertaining but I thought after the Valentine's day episode we would have seen some growth from her.

I don't know what to think about that reveal with Grayson & Jacob. I like Grayson and want to learn more about him. I need something dramatic to happen with this Impaler story, like someone getting hurt (Jacob/Smitty/Kat/Naomi) in a drop off gone bad.

Knowing what we know about the timing of some of the storylines...ironically in the same boat as another soap...I do wonder if they are doing what they did around this time last year. The show started off with a bang, but Month 2 was all character development and set-up to set up for the anniversary party between March and May. I enjoyed it a little bit more than others. Back then they at least had events or something that happened several times during those months, but that's a long wait.

I'm happy to see Silk Press Sheila still has some fans here, but I'm over her myself. I just don't feel the writers are really allowing her to have layers anymore and I don't like Cartoon Leslie. Not that I don't get giggles from time to time. I had hoped with VD that we would get the cunning and still over-the-top Leslie we got at the start of the show back. Her I liked. The cartoon that won't STFU? Not so much.

Agree, Silk Press Sheila is bordering on one-dimensional and played out. We all know the shelf life of a soap opera villainess isn't that long.

Trisha Mann-Grant is a find though, and she should move on to bigger and better things after finishing her initial contract.

Yeah. I still love Trisha as an actress. And I don't think I would have love Silk Press Sheila otherwise. There was even a hint...but just a hint...of that old cunning in her scenes with Eva on the Thursday episode where while she was being silly, she was low-key scheming by being meddling mama to Eva and Izaiah. THAT I liked. But I like anything having to do with her when it's something NEW. That's why her and Marcel worked. And her vs Joey continue to work as well. It takes the villainess and pushes her off into new directions. Things that extend her shelf life as a villainess. Cuz her just focusing on one thing with no nuances is tiring. When she went back to her Ted obsession and one-upping the Duprees, I just roll my eyes because it's already overdone.

But that could be me. Cartoon Leslie...which was funny at first...has now started to border on that 'wacka wacka' humor that I discuss all the time on the GH thread that I am notorious for not liking. I can take comedy. I can take humor. But it's truly an art in itself. Dani and Andre in Vegas was hilarious. Cartoon Leslie's constant attempt at a moment is not.

OOOOOoooo me likey!! Was that a new music cue?

I thought that was a good reveal and a good Friday cliffhanger.

I had completely forgotten that Jacob and Grayson had crossed paths. And now that he is more in Ashley's life and world, those stakes are building slowly. The collective wide eyes with the omnious music was well done.

That said...I too think Grayson is a red herring. As in not the Impaler himself, but of course now known involved. Probably having to do with his mother...which the writers already foreshadowed.

I do like that just like Hayley's storyline...the plasma ring storyline officially has a pulse. I hope like Hayley's storyline has now...that means that this story will now start to have a pace to it.

I was also sad to see that the cotillion storyline that has been holding my interest is officially on the backburner.

That said...DEANNA!!!!! And over here giving me Y&R Dru. I like her already. Even her mannerisms were giving me young Victoria Rowell.

I feel like roles are reversed right now with Smitty and Martin. Last year, Martin was dodgy, suspicious and shutting Smitty out from something important and dangerous.... not Smitty is doing it with Martin. If I were Martin and got that reaction from Smitty today, I would have called him out immediately.

I've said the same as well.

Oh, delicious irony.

Regardless of how I feel about the plasma ring storyline, one thing that I do look forward to is Martin finding out given all that Smitty did last year in regards to Martin's Secret.

Respectfully and completely disagree. The ending reveal was perfect. What was missing was the cue music, The Edge of Night style I would have screamed......wait I screamed anyway, LOL

But I like that music cue they used. It had the ominousness to it. And yes, I too screamed. It was just so well-done.

@Broderick love your idea for where the plasma ring storyline and will scream if you are right. @Khan looooooooove that as a Victoria Rowell entrance. Same with @Chris B 's idea as well.

Same and he looked hot as hell in Friday's episode.

.I don't know what to think about that reveal with Grayson & Jacob.

Now that is the type of Friday cliffhanger I've been waiting for the show to do. Something to make you want to tune in the following week.
