I do apologize for the thread drift everyone! My fault! But @TEdgeofNight do you even watch GH as of March 2026? I thought you were too busy telling everyone how Leo/GR is the most popular actor on Days.

I don't apologize, since the tr*ll doesn't work here. We regularly discuss GH past and present in this thread, and Errol himself has talked about merging the threads recently. When the actual staff want us to do something then we'll see. It's cute this guy is still sweating about me though.

I am firmly against anyone that had an actual character coming back to GH playing a different character. Bill Eckert was a failure in 1992, and it didn’t get better with multiple attempts for Howarth and Easton, or Tamara Braun in the last 10 years.

I usually am when it comes to major contract or recurring roles, but I'd also cast Jessica Tuck as evil Dr. Carolyn Webber tomorrow so I'm a hypocrite.

With adulterer Missy it’s her Christian fundamentalism beliefs, and I think Ingo got there through the MAHA/Manosphere route. I lived on the west coast for a while and it became clear that the venn diagram between far left and far right overlaps in several places.

Eh, I’m not so sure that was totally Frank. This was right around the time of the 60th, coming off Nathan Varni tweeting that the show was going to get back to being a GH longtime fans recognized. Then they hired Mulcahey. I think Jonathan Jackson was the last piece kind of pushed on him during that period when he was not as in control. He got to get rid of Monaco though!

And then that whole period imploded, Frank got the numbers up with his pet writers back and now you can't tell him anything! And no, I don't necessarily think bringing Steve back right then was FV either but I do think he would've always brought back Steve and Jason eventually.

We came by it honestly with Joss and Sonny’s relationship, and speculation about if Jax would even be allowed to be recast with the lawsuits. So yes, we did bring it back to Brenda (why wouldn’t we lol), but it started in discussion with the show as it is right now.

Also, no one cares.

I can see if there were more than 10 people that posted on this thread. But suddenly the thread police comes in when this poster doesn't even watch GH. I wish more people would chime in here in general or on the Days thread that is absolutely dead.

I mean, it's more interesting than talking about what Brad and Britt did today.

He's just here to try to goose me. It's what he does to you folks in the Days threads everyday. He should've been banned for the level of conduct I mentioned years ago, but we know what it takes to get people banned around here. So I just pay 'em dust.

Yeah, I liked Stafford's Nina only because the show at the time (I left before RC ended his run so never saw Altman/Passante's run) needed a villainess and Sam needed something to do so they got one. That there was history with Ava was a bonus. But yeah...such a cartoon to those of us who are used to her as the Giggly Heffa on Y&R.

Meh at Hayden. I might be in the minority, but I would have love to see them try to use Sarah again.

But I liked Jennifer Sky. But tbf I liked a lot of the show from that time. And that she went on to do other shows, movies, camp, only to become a photographer/writer never ceases to amuse me.

Though I love Ava, I agree. I feel the reason Nina is still around is to the talents of Watros's abilities to find the real person in her character. Ava is at her best when she gets to play the femme fatale we all know she is with only very little (her friendship with Trina, relationship to Lucas now) redeeming human qualities that make some sense.
