RIP: In Memoriam Thread

Seems like it's someone every day lately. I know he had a long life and some big comebacks but still I feel sad. "Laughter in the Rain" is one of those songs I listen to sometimes to get in a mellow mood. "Love Will Keep Us Together" is also one of the best pop songs.

Rob Grant has also passed. He co-created Red Dwarf, among other things. The early seasons of Red Dwarf were so good.

I know newbies are less expensive, and at the end, especially budget-friendly, but lord....keeping the likes of Ava Peralta or Remy or Ashleigh relevant was painful. Just because Ava was the rotten kid of two rotten parents didn't mean you needed to keep her around.

I find it curious that Dick Van Patten appeared in several episodes of The Love Boat but zero episodes of Fantasy Island. Why was that? Lynda Day George made guest appearances on both shows.

BTG: February 2026 Discussion Thread

Kat was so over the top nasty to Chelsea and it's not even possible to root for this character anymore.
Speaking of nasty, Kat comes by it easily because Nicole was pretty rude to Ted when he asked about Anita. Even if Ted is divorced from Nicole, Anita is still his children's grandmother and he's not wrong for not wanting to be kept in the loop. But I think Nicole's anger is more about the fact that Ted is moving on and not begging her for another chance.
Iona Morris is a good casting choice. One of those actors that is not a huge name but is recognizable from decades of guest spots on shows.

I didnt think DH was so bad..it was just...an odd choice to play Roger's son. He came off very smarmy...I swear, he had a scene where he and Jarsh were talking about teaming up to take on Spaulding, and he was visibly flirting with him (that is all we needed, a rejected male lover of Josh going crazy when he want back to Reva...)
I thought that having some characters floating around made it seem like a real town, but they could easily been recurring...Rick, Frank, Buzz, that D.A. none of them needed contracts but they made the town seem bigger having characters like that around once in a while.

Another World Discussion Thread

I met RKK outside a bakery in my town in the last 1980s. Which ever wife he had then was inside a bakery or coffee shop and he stood outside in a "notice me" pose, waiting to be recognized. I smiled and he lit up. He struck me as supremely narcissistic. My "repressed gay gaydar" went off in like a four alarm fire bell but only my "in the moment" personal read as I'm sure (Jan) that he's straight...... He also had a crazed look behind his eyes. Stunningly handsome though. Dressed in the tightest jeans, leather jacket, open collar shirt, cowboy boots. His "package" was prominent to one side and very visible. I got the vapors. I believe he moved to MO and became a flight instructor. His linkedin is showing on a google search but his actual profile has been deleted from Linkedin. Lisa is getting her revenge.
