Yay!!! 🥳🥳🥳 I'm a thrilled for BTG and the other soaps. I hope this continues moving forward and BTG gets over the two million mark.

Congrats to BTG and GH! :)

I know this is an outlier since it is probably due to people being stuck inside, so I won't get too excited. It does, though, show that there is still an audience for soaps out there. Something the networks need to remember.

That's very true. I hope that some of them stick around, unlikely as it may be.

Y&R did just under an original episode of "The Rookie" (#21), and B&B would have placed just after an original episode of "20/20" (#23). Based on its regular numbers, B&B would still have ranked somewhere in the Top 30/Top 40, while Y&R would be in the Top 30. GH would have been in the Top 40s.

A correction to what's stated above about Beyond the Gates:

“Beyond the Gates” set new series highs among Total Viewers and Households, with 1.859 million and a 1.2 rating, respectively. The first new soap opera to premiere in more than 25 years saw a week-to-week gain of +337,000 viewers and was up +0.1 among Households. The series surpassed premiere week (February 24-28, 2025) among viewers (1.859 million vs. 1.810 million) and tied its series high among Households (1.2 rating). Demographically, the show tied its season high among Women 25-54 (0.26 rating) and tied its second-best performance of the season among Women 18-49 (0.16 rating). The drama was up +0.02 over last week’s performance among Women 25-54 (0.26 rating vs. 0.24 rating) and up +0.04 among Women 18-49 (0.16 rating vs. 0.12 rating), virtually on par with the year-ago performance of daytime repeats of “Hollywood Squares.”

Wonderful news for BTG, and well deserved for GH this last year plus. Despite all my issues with the show they've made a smart move continuing the Drew/Michael/Willow saga. It's money.

I called it the big jump in the numbers for the soaps due to the winter blast.

It's too bad the soaps sucked last week. I don't see the audience sticking around.

Congratulations to The View and The Price Is Right on their big numbers too!

Interesting that despite the multi-year viewer highs, only Bold beat one of its August demo highs (W18-49). And likely only because that was a rough ratings month for the show.

TPIR averaged about 1 million more viewers in daytime vs its primetime special. I'm drawing a blank when the last time I tuned into broadcast or cable in primetime for something other than sports or big news events. Likely when the Crave app was acting up.
