But he still wanted it to be Robin when McCullough came back, and she was the one that didn’t want to be stuck in Sonny/Jason/Carly/Michael land again.

I don't blame her. No one ever got mixed up with Sonny/Jason/Carly and then lived to tell the tale.

I loved him as Will on AMC- he was sexy, menacing, and did great work there. And Valentin is just such a drag.

James Patrick Stuart reminded me of a younger James Mitchell, which was appropriate, given their characters' connection. Make no mistake, though: AMC never had his Will playing Billy Joel tunes on the piano at The Chateau while still insisting he was a villain, lol.

I think there was a high probability KMc/Robin would have gotten thrown under the bus for Sam eventually as well even if Steve wanted a Robin pairing. I can't remember where we were at in the Kelly Monaco era when Robin returned.

It made sense Robin would have moved on with her life. Robin was too smart and levelheaded to be hung up on Jason after the way they broke up. Robin and Jason were by far my favorite Jason romance, but I totally got why she wouldn't want to go there again. It made me a little sad though.

Anyhow, the pivot to the Scrubs/Hospital stories worked for the most part. Robin/Patrick got some silly material, but I am fine with them being endgame since I don't believe we will ever see KMc back full time again. Hopefully we will get to see BB and KMc act together as Emma/Robin at some point.

I dunno about that. I don't think either Steve or Kimberly would have stood for that at the time, and as I said earlier I think Robin remained uniquely untouchable in certain ways despite some of the passive aggression evident in the show. Even in '99, Robin is the only character who got away relatively clean.

We were also in a real dog year when Kimberly returned. They brought her back to try to help right the show at the end of a nadir period for the show (2005), and it worked (and credit to Steve for pushing for it). Several Jasam stories, like the summer DWTS caper and Michael's imaginary friend, had also just flopped. Kelly was about to enter contract tango, which led to the ONS with Ric in '06 and the villainizing of Sam's character for a year or two when Frons and co. thought she might leave. IIRC Jason and Sam did not fully reconstitute until 2008. So I think those factors as well as Robin's immense popularity would have left Sam on the outs. I would not have bet against Robin if it came down to the two of them. Steve also wielded enough power at that time. But I am glad Robin moved on too. Kimberly was right. I would've cackled if they'd put them back together in the BM recast period though, when Patrick was with Sam. I had moved on from Jason and Robin long ago but that's absolutely something I'd have done.

Speaking of Sam coming up snake eyes, I was reminded of the very hands-off way they handled Brenda re: Courtney in '02 when she later returned again in '10 and met Sam. They seemed very, very hesitant to let her be in proximity to Sam, because they knew of the obvious Brendabot issue there (with Sam inheriting most of Brenda's planned story in '04) and they knew Jasam still could not stand up to Brenda. So they sort of avoided it and kept their scenes together awkward, bland and inoffensive IIRC.

Same here. I would be happy to see JT make a short visit to consult on a case and tangle with Emma, but I fully expect we will see Kimberly with BB when they honor Robert.

I loved the giant sign that said “Power Grid” on the chain link fence that Joss stopped in front of to make sure she had her explosive device. Then, in case we hadn’t seen it, the camera panned over to the sign after Joss walked away. It was the kind of soap moment that you wish would be paired with organic music.

I couldn't remember if we were in the Kelly is everything era or the Kelly might leave because of contract talks era. I guess we were in between lol. I probably worded it wrong. I don't think Robin would have lost against Sam for Jason, but I think Sam would have gotten some sympathy for getting pushed to the side and look like a victim.

I can't really picture Robin/BM's Jason together. I probably wouldn't have hated it.

In regard to Brenda and Sam I do remember the scenes where they were at Jason's penthouse talking and Sam basically spilled her guts to Brenda and said so Sonny and I had a baby, it died, and I also dated Jax, Alexis is my mom, and now I am with Jason. Vanessa/Brenda's reaction was like that was a hell of an overshare. You don't need to tell me all this. It was awkward but hilarious. The relationship was always so neutral. They shared scenes but it was never friendly nor competitive.

I can't even remember Brenda/Courtney sharing a scene. I am sure they did, but it was nothing.

We were on the cusp of the latter by then. Her big stories in '05 had not gone down well. They moved quickly into the "Jasam break up yet again because of 'the danger' and she fúcks her stepdad' period shortly after Robin's return.

I do think Billy and Kimberly had some chemistry, so I would've been there for it quad-wise in 2015 tbh lol.

I remember a little visible annoyance on Sam’s part when it came to Spinelli’s interest in Brenda. But it never fully engaged. And they even went comically in on Brendabots when Sam was in the limo that exploded instead of Brenda. Which was stupid anyway!

Kimberly didn’t want to be a cog in the Sonny/Jason/Carly/Michael machine, and I fully understand that. Because when she came back from school the first time that is exactly what happened, minus Sonny because he was gone. She even had a Lily slow motion carbomb fakout, which felt like cheap storytelling to me when it happened.

I also think she will be back and we will get scenes with Emma when they honor Tristan.

I remember they put a fake mole on Sam and she acted as a Brenda decoy too during that time and Brenda effed up the whole sting operation lol. Sam also went to Maxie to get a "makeover" to look sexy for Jason when Brenda first came back. To be fair to Sam though I would have been annoyed with Spinelli in this period just because he was annoying all the time.

Oh, I don't blame Kimberly at all. In 1998 she had story but I can't imagine it was that satisfying. She was playing house with Jason and Michael and a friend to Brenda during her breakdown then got kidnapped by Tony. Robin was mostly the secondary focus in all her stories.

I just love the cute rivalry between Martin and Tracy! They're so fun together.

I don't think Joss will get out of this one, but we'll see!

Glad we're getting Cody and Molly tomorrow, I was hoping they'd get stuck together.

I wouldn't mind them as a couple. Beyond that, I just want Tracy and Jane front burner. I love the actor and character so much.

Laura Wright's hair is gorgeous as usual.

I think there's a chem test going on between Danny and Charlotte, but aren't they related? I feel like they are.
