I have said it before but in no way would classic era Y&R let Rory go. He has a classically handsome face that would have worked well with the old Hollywood staging of Bell era Y&R. And today’s director had to know what they were doing.

Faison is my favorite GH villain of all time, and I also think he should have died for good in 2013. I am not a fan of the masks and face swapping hijinks, but that one worked because of all the stakes involved and Finola sold it so well. But I also like Anna strong and calculating not a basket case at the thought of him being alive. It worked because he was wearing Duke’s face, so her revulsion made sense. And it’s not Hove’s fault. Even his last stint as they have made him more clownish Hove still has a connection to Faison’s creepiness.

And given he played a legacy character, I am sure classic Y&R wouldn't have let him go, either. Hehe. I'm sure the director did as well.

I think that even though he's had lower return every time he comes back, it's the fact that Hove still can find the creepiness in the clownish material for Faison is why I never tire of him. I know it was wrong, but the Halloween opener with him as Beetlejuice I loved even though it was silly, but it fit him. I do agree that perhaps I love that 2013 story...so much due to the stakes and the fact Finola sold that so well.

We are always on the same page when it comes to wanting Anna strong and calculating over being whiny. It's part of the reason, I have such mixed feelings about her current storyline. It's to Finola's credit that I don't see her as weak and thank God she pulled an Anna and did what I would think she would go and try to fight her way out of her prison. I really hope she is the one to kill Pascal though. Over him.

I don't blame the actors, but it seems like every time the show can't figure out what to do with Finola/Anna they bring Faison back. It reminds me a bit of Days habit of bringing Orpheus back and making him goofier every time. I always thought Orpheus was scarier than Stefano back in the day. Now he's a joke.

Anyhow, I am sure Britt and Nathan will be involved in all this and I will be bored to tears. AH and Finola deserve better.

That's what the "writer" does best. Destroys characters, one joke at a damn time. Praying he is never hired again.

100%.

Faison is so clownish. The character is hard to take seriously as a threat, and now he's holding Anna hostage (AGAIN!). Or maybe not, since we've only heard his voice. I must say, I do love Hove's voice.

As for Anna, I don't get why people are simply just accepting that she left. They should be demanding proof of life.

I hope Willow really did stab Drew but it's probably just a very nice dream. But after the courtroom scenes, I'm convinced Drew knows the truth just by some of his expressions. Also, Trina's dialogue hinted that Willow being married to Drew was the true punishment.

And they have other options for a past antagonist! Grant Putnam wasn’t killed off, IIRC he was placed in a sanitarium that he had already escaped from twice. You could easily say after the Snowman storyline that he became obsessed with Anna instead of just wanting revenge on Robert, and go from there.

Worst day ever for a preemption

Especially for a demented lying racist felon and pedophile who's also a warmonger.

In 1980 there was an actors strike that lasted for 3 months. It pushed back the season premiere of Dallas into November. People had to wait quite a while to find out who shot JR.

I actually think that the scene with Willow and Drew was real. My prediction is that Drew becomes incapacitated for the long term and Willow becomes his caregiver, along with a live-in nurse. He won't be able to tell anyone what she did because he won't be able to speak. I also think she is going to enjoy taunting him.

Hell of a day for this old fool to preempt! And yes, I think it's real too.

At least part of this is on Finola for me. As I've said before, I think she came back in 2012 with Anna understandably reeling re: Robin and then Faison/Duke. But since then she has spent most of the rest of her tenure with Anna entirely too emotional about the wrong things, or about people Finola is tight with offscreen (Sonny, etc). I think she feels it shows her range and prevents Anna from being an '80s cartoon supercop, but she has nothing left to prove as an actor. I don't want or need Anna constantly on the verge of tears over everything from shooting Carlos Rivera (a hitman who she took down like so many others from the Cold War), to cutting social ties with Sonny to Valentin's latest scheme or kissing Jason in Africa. It's become rote and tiresome for Anna to burst into tears and I am behind over it. She needs more steel again.

Is this a full pre-emption? I've been seeing clips on X from today's episode. I'd like to watch it on Hulu this evening.

Separately, I'm convinced Drew knows Willow shot him. Yeah, he's screaming about Michael, who he knows didn't do it. If Drew didn't know who shot him, he'd be discreetly pushing the Feds to find out who actually did do it since they'd still be out there.
