I've seen some fan comments upset about this because it means Sonny, Michael and Carly will be in the right. I suppose it tells you how much Rory Gibson has managed to pivot Michael for me away from just being Carly's son or Sonny's progeny because I don't even care.

Oh and Drew's little tantrum on the stand may be one of Cameron Mathison's most effective performances. I laughed because Drew is a fool, yet I also paused because he reminds me so damn much of the people running companies and governments these days.

Michael coolly smirking at him was also fun (and hot).

Genuinely I’m so focused on Michael himself as a character, Sonny and Carly who you guys know I loathe, never crossed my mind once about this. Rory has made me care about Michael for the first time since Drew Garrett was in the role. I didn’t hate Chad but he did nothing for me. And maybe Rory is getting better writing? I dunno but Michael is currently one of the reasons I watch GH every day.

Cameron was perfect today. I hoped that Drew was going to act a damn fool on the stand and he truly did not disappoint. And like you said he actually is so similar to our actual politicians currently and for that matter so is Daniel Cosgrove’s character who honestly is deliciously slimy. This is the first DC character I’ve ever liked maybe excluding the brief period his character on DAYS was paired with Hope before they ruined that.

A little odd that the reveal happened on a Thursday because it, and Trina and Kai's part in the aftermath, was the perfect Friday cliffhanger, but I thought it was great and very well constructed. I never thought Willow had shot Drew either because that would've been so obvious, so this swerve is a surprise to me and I'm here for it! And I'm definitely looking forward to what happens next for everybody. Just please don't give Willow DID 🙏🙏

And if Willow's found not guilty, they now have the perfect way for her to get away with the shooting and keep her around.

That was one of the only Cosgrove characters I really liked too (and beyond Peter Reckell one of the only guys I thought had a spark with KA). He's good use here because he isn't playing another plaster saint and can just wallow in dirt. It helps that he's aged out of the boy wonder roles.

Thank God it wasn't Scout or some shít. I'm supposed to watch that little girl try to act this out like I care about her at all or she can deliver a performance? What impact would that have? It's not someone like Danny or Rocco (or Jake, big up to Jake wherever he is) where we've grown to know and care about those boys.

But now that Willow has that killer instinct, she and Rory Gibson's Michael are perfect for each other.

A part of me thinks Drew knows Willow shot him and has his own revenge in place: trap her in a marriage and keep her from her kids.

I think that option is very viable, as is Willow trapping him in the marriage with her own ammo against him. She could easily have dug up stuff re: him and Sidwell, etc. It would also be fine by me if Drew knew or if Michael did. I don't want Michael and Willow back together for good, but hatesex would definitely work now.

I gagged when he said he and Jacinda had hit it no less than 20 times. Joss cocking her head and Michael's facial response in the gallery killed me. He's rethinking that bracelet!

Ha! That was a highlight. Interestingly, when Ezra was on the stand I got different vibes when Ezra - he's normally quite crass and it was far more subdued. When Jacinda/Ezra were talking and he said he's constituents would get over their relationship, I think it's something completely different - and a very typical GH trope.

Ezra may be one of those midstream character changes that got first got clued when Ezra was actually civil and almost sympathetic to Laura before he went on the stand. Just sayin' - he may not be the bad guy now.

I mean, Ezra is a toad, period. I do think DC gave a bit of nuance to those moments with Genie where Boyle warned her about how Sidwell could destroy lives and he's seen it before - I suppose you could tell a little tragic yarn of a story about this once-idealistic man who is now kind of a sad, pathetic joke. But I don't think there need be much more to him. I think if this Sidwell, etc. saga goes on much longer it is only a matter of time before Boyle ends up like Judge Herron.

(I initially thought the scene with Dante and Nathan where Nathan mishandled evidence a few days ago, a clear tipoff, was about the Herron case. It wasn't, but it did admittedly make me wonder if Nathan executed the judge for Sidwell.)

Ezra is:

Jacinda's father.

We never saw them do the deed. He may have been buying her time for other reasons. I'm just sayin' the way he was on the stand and then the carefully worded convo with Jacinda at the bar gave me strong vibes that the story shifted. I do think they're going to give Michael/Jacinda a shot, which is why they had Nina actually being sympathetic to her a few weeks ago, the Kristina interactions, vibes, etc. I'm not opposed to it, but it's definitely not what was initially planned.

They're already doing that, which I find to be a waste of time IMO. Jacinda is a fairly bland dayplayer and a story Michael has had before. Michael is an emerging leading man and needs a strong, new range of leading lady contract options. GH needs to commit to the next generation, and to their credit they are increasingly making moves towards it.

Today was entertaining! Glad to see the writers didn't chicken out by making it a dayplayer! Hopefully they commit all the way to playing the messiness and the crazy with Willow!
