Yeah… I think it’s time for Gio to give Dante a punch.

There’s never been a reason for this tension between the two of them. It’s been unnecessary from the very beginning.

I actually felt a little bad for Molly too lol I hope this thing with Britt is just a temporary roadblock or something. #Brody didn’t work the first time, I don’t think it’s gonna work now.

As for Laura, this is what happens you’re besties with crime bosses, Mayor Collins 😂😂😂

Gio should be getting closer to Chase and calling him Dad. it would drive Dante nuts.😂

And Dante would deserve it too 😂

The whole Dante thing is clearly just there for an obstacle. If they cared about Dante we would see maybe Lulu pull him aside and ask what’s really going on. It would give him a chance to say he lost her, then he lost Sam, and he’s afraid to let Rocco grow up and get into trouble and lose him too. And even better would be him maybe admitting that he’s still angry with Brook Lynn and Lois and it’s being displaced on Gio. And he doesn’t know what to do with Gio at all because he keeps messing up.

You know, psychologically explore these characters like they used to! Also DZ is a good actor that doesn’t deserve to be trotted out just to be an asshat. Much like Liz is an awfully important character to just stand behind that desk waiting to snap at Britt.

I would consider a few ideas for Michael, including someone new (like a driven Asian doctor in the Patrick or Monica mold). Serena is a good option but one who I think might be a bit too pat and obvious initially - two core kids. Maybe if you play up the business aspect between them with her being a cosmetics tycoon/philanthropist like Dominique or Lucy. I do also think there is room for Michael and Willow to have hate sex lol, or for her to keep trying to land him again before she inevitably flames out for good. Then there's the Zoe Ward thing Guza almost did but who never made it onscreen. In the case of Serena and Zoe you have characters who are essentially new, blank slates. Same goes with creating someone from scratch.

I like those ideas too. I just think Michael needs a love interest that isn't a tortured heroine, which he's been getting since Abby, Starr, Sabrina, etc. I would pair him with a new character who is a Lucy Coe-esque/Sarah Brown's Carly-esque type ambitious schemer, in my opinion. Someone who could motivate him professionally and sexually too. And you can have Carly not like her because she sees "herself" in this girl 30 years ago. While Sonny, who sees something more positive in her, would be more supportive but would call Carly out on her dislike of her, reminding her of how she was.

Meanwhile, you can have Willow being jealous of her with her and Michael going back and forth for a few months until hate sex occurs.

Yeah, I have been saying for a while now that Scotty could easily take Martin's place. He obviously wouldn't be related to Laura, but he could even take Martin's place as a confidante or talk to for her. The history with Lucy and Tracy makes it much easier to sell a romance since 5 minutes will be devoted to it a month and there's at least history there to make it believable with minimal effort.

Outside of looking the part, I don't see it. Paige Herschell isn't a strong enough actress to take on that pivotal of a role. Although as I believe @Vee has been saying for years, Serena would be a good love interest for Michael in theory.

Well, I did say decent Serena. 🤣 But I think Michael/Jacinda is a stopgap until Michael/Willow see the light or they bring back Sasha with baby Daisy.

Both are which are terrible ideas for long-term pairings IMO, but definitely something the show would do.

My friends know my longtime idea for Michael (going back to Chad's earliest years) was actually putting him with... Maxie. It came out of Chad being such a good straight man and a bit Bambi-eyed, particularly in the early 2010s, and would create a sort of unusual sort of fish out of water situation for Kirsten's Maxie as having to perceive herself as 'the older woman' while also being the screwball comedienne. And they'd get involved first in an unwise ONS and then business. I held onto that concept for a long time lol. I still think it might work someday with Rory Gibson who's very different but it is definitely not front of my mind anymore. Today the idea of putting Michael with a driven physician who matches his intensity and doesn't need him the way all his other love interests have (and may have a dark past or ties to the Asian Quarter, etc.), or someone like Serena or Zoe is more my speed atm.

I would consider remodeling Serena as a Lucy-type in business but I would want her to be less of a flighty schemer than her mother, especially since I would be introducing her adopted sister Christina under some other name as a lead and she would be the real troublemaker (an activist writer and possibly cracked therapist). Serena would be sort of the light-sided counterpart. I would also want her to be competent, and they too rarely show Lucy to be that today which is a shame. But maybe Serena could swoop in to help her mother take back majority control of Deception from all these interlopers (BLQ, etc.) who keep putting her down every time there are literally any workplace scenes. That shít drives me nuts.

I always wanted Christina to come back as perhaps nicknamed "Tina" or even Chris" and have her be in the healthcare while you'll see the nature/nurture side of Lucy/Julie of her too.
