Today was another mixed bag.

And welcome back, Dr. Rolf. Now, go the f*ck away 🖕

Seriously, is this necessary? I would have been more than fine with Mark being the only doctor that's a part of whatever EJ is doing at the hospital. I really thought we were never gonna see him again now that Ron was gone.

There was also wayyyy too much Gwen and Leo today. And with all this talk of Dimitri, as much as I'd love to see him (and Peter Porte 😍) again, I don't want him to come back if these two insufferable dipshits are still on the canvas. The last thing we need is any kind of throwback to that sick, revolting mess of a storyline.

Other than that, I did enjoy the rest of today, especially Abe and EJ going head to head over Theo. I wish that it had gone on a little longer though. But I'm curious to see if EJ is going to agree to help Abe get Theo away from Dimera, or if it's somehow gonna be tied to his plans at the hospital. We did get a little insight into what he was doing today as well.

And, poor Thomas. That was a good cliffhanger. I like the way that it was all set up throughout the episode. It almost felt like classic soap, and I feel that it really did elevate an episode that wasn't all that good lol

Felt like Gwen and Leo was half the episode. Way, way too much. GR did a good job in his scenes with Chad I just dont care.

The cliffhanger was good but Thomas literally just ran off. Funny how cars are never heard with tables 10 feet away.

Greg was great today.
The cliffhanger was produced terribly. Thomas ran off and bam, 2 seconds later a car is screeching? Bad producing.

Rolf's return makes my teeth itch. I have to pray Cwikly only brought him back to kill him off again, for good this time, because Susan, Bonnie, and Rolf are sticking around is infuriating. I also have to wonder if this mad scientist stuff will be tied to who tried to attack Alex? Jeremy was literally wearing a mad scientist costume ... you can see where my mind connects.

Excited for the all the returns next week!

What confuses me about Rolf’s return - besides the rat tail -  is that Michael Dietz’s Versavix doctor felt like this writing team’s deliberate attempt to create a more grounded, credible alternative to the mad scientist trope. Now that they’ve reintroduced Mark—who I still think would pair well with Javi at the hospital to dig into the lab mystery—why resurrect such a polarizing legacy character, especially one so closely tied to a different era and writing style?

I'm anticipating that Doc's tendency to faint is going to play into EJ's plan with Rolf, but it doesn't seem like Marlena's very concerned about her own symptoms. (I was worried it would be Marlena falling asleep at the wheel and hitting Thomas, thankfully it was not).

{edit} I hadn't considered that Richard Wharton aka Dr Rolf, was on season 1 of The Pitt (6:00 and 7:00) - maybe he just wasn't available during Versavix, and they hired another actor with no intentions of sidelining Rolf forever - who knows?  I may have only wished they were trying a new approach to the OL'Dimera miracle cure/ brain chip/orchid tales.

Can't wait!

Looking forward to seeing next week's promo. I'm assuming it's the 60th anniversary-themed.

Between this and what we learned today, this is giving me an idea for a storyline.

I can't believe I'm actually coming up with a story idea for Leo 😂😂

I saw the Thomas cliffhanger, and it made me laugh. 😂 I don't know why, but it did.

Any idea yet? 😉😂😂😂

I think it was the acting by Melissa and Billy.😂

-- That ending was ridiculously directed. No words.

-- WAY too much Leo and Gwen. Yes, Rikaart is doing nice work, but the show has done nothing to make us care about Gwen. And why should we listen when she says that Leo has a heart? SHE'S the voice of heart and soul?

-- Cwikly and Ford seemingly can't make up their minds as to what this show should be. Going back to Dr. Rolf? Really???

-- And even though I know DAYS, why in the hell would EJ go to Rolf and a just-released-from-prison doctor to get his drug to market? He can't pay for someone who's smart and NOT a criminal or insane?

-- Mark Greene is not coming off as a doctor since his return. Maybe he needs the lab coat, but what I'm seeing isn't working.

Dark thought: it is awfully convenient that Mother Kat Greene has dementia, so they don't have to deal with the whole Pawn backstory again.

Also, I think a lab coat and haircut would add to Dr. Mark Greene's credibility, but acting in scenes next to Dr Rat Tail isn't helping.
